Hey Gang! Anyone took the plunge with the IniScene EGLL yet? Looks super good but I am on the fence until I can get validation on whether the gate guidance system works or not.

  2. Started by Zimmerbz,

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why one would fly with this off? I've never really understood what the differences are between off and 16x. Can someone explain that to me? Thanks!

End of SU8 Beta Update - New Build JummivanaSenior Community Manager Hello Beta Testers, Thank you so much for working with our team to test the Sim Update 8 Beta. As you have seen from the builds released during this period, you truly helped us improve Sim Update 8 and your feedback matters greatly. We have a final update for you before the close of this Beta. Later today, one more build will be released for the Sim Update 8 Beta. We discovered that build 1.23.11.0 had an issue with FLT file cloud saves where saving to the cloud would either fail or only work once, and further saves would fail or overwrite previ…

I currently use the Hotas Warthog as my thrust lever in conjunction with FBW. Can anyone suggest sensitivity / axis settings that work well? Currently from idle to roughly half way pushed forward, I don't get any thrust. Can anyone post any suggestions as to what could fix this? It isn't the biggest problem as I can still fly, I'd just like it to be a bit more precise if possible. Thanks!

  7. Started by DAD,

Pilots, maybe a dummy question and posted here as I do have no Simbrief/Navigraph support login (yet) but since a couple of days I noticed that the FBW does not load waypoints, just DEP and ARR and no waypoints in between. First I thought this is an FBW issue but then I had a closer look at the simbrief screen and noticed, e.g. here for a flight planned from LOWI to LDSP, that when I plan/edit the flightplan the respective waypoints are there: But once I generate the FP then the waypoints are gone, leaving just a straight line from LOWI to Split and of course also no waypoints in the FMS when the FP is loaded/imported in the FBW: How comes? I did not d…

Hi I've been flying the developer version of The fly by wire a320 for a couple weeks with no issues. I updated the software for the plane today and for whatever reason whenever I turn on the batteries on a cold dark flight Deck it always shows zero volts and I can't get the screens to ever turn on. Anyone else having this issue today also? Thanks

Is there anyone else who hates flying the Airbus as much as me? I can never get it to do anything except go out of control/ I tried it again today after having not used it in ages, thinking maybe I'd have better luck figuring it out, but when I couldn't get it to hold an airspeed or a vertical speed, I just turn off the AP and flew visually back to the departure point. My virtual passengers can get into a Boeing aircraft and we'll go from there.

Did I miss anything, it just downloads a new launcher from MS Store, some 430MB? Just checked MSFS official forum but don't see anything mentioned, is this just AIRAC or wasn't AIRAC just am ingame mandatory content update and not the launcher?

I had used FS ATC Chatter years ago when I was a beta tester for Pro ATC. When I switched to MSFS 2020, I again saw the web site for FS ATC chatter and it said that it works with Pilot 2 ATC, which I do not use , instead I use PF3. Someone else posted that they use this chatter program so I decided to try the demo which only works in the US to see how it worked with MSFS and PF3. After playing around with it for around 15 minutes, I decided to purchase the add on. I quickly learned that you do not have to use Pilot2 ATC to use this chatter program, in fact it will work with any ATC program or no ATC at all. 29,000 chatter audio files, so it will probably be over a year be…

  17. Started by PurdueKev,

I tried a search for this specific issue, and I just need to check that I am not crazy in seeing this behavior (which I think is a bug)... In any of the G1000 aircraft (yes, running the WT NXi mod from the Marketplace) and also any of the steam gauge aircraft with the default traditional autopilot: when engaging the AP in a climb and having no other vertical modes selected, the autopilot seems to default to ALT mode and violently checks the ascent to get back to whatever altitude you were when the AP was engaged. My understanding of at least the G1000 (but also the type of generic steam-gauge autopilot that is being modeled) is that the autopilot should default to PI…

  18. Started by RobJC,

I'll cut to the chase... DELETE the G1000 NXi mod that you have installed in your Content Manager. This is causing CTDs in any airplanes using the G1000. I have tested many planes that use this and also do not use this. Every single plane using a G1000 (which would use this mod if you installed it) crashes. Some take a little longer. Some cause a CTD on the first attempt to fly. I imagine the more complex airplanes crash faster, while something like the Cessna 172 (with the G1000) takes a little more work to get a CTD. All non G1000 airplanes in my hangar do not crash. I removed this mod and now all of the G1000 planes work without crashing. Btw, my…

I purchased MSFS2020 when it first came out and after about a week of getting ticked off I uninstalled it and went about my business. In Jan this year I saw some articles of the improvements and decided to give it another go. I was "Blown Away!" with the changes and graphics. Yesterday I started a flight at a local airport next to where I live, I put everything in the sim to real world conditions including freezing rain, as I was taxiing I noticed that it was harder to track down the taxiway. Just before take-off I noticed a distortion on the corner of my windscreen, I took off, got about 2000 feet and went into an uncontrolled left turn, all the while my windscreen was …

How are you putting up with the 3 or more minute load time just to see if that line you made is just right ?

  21. Started by DiscoSweat,

Anyone buy this from Orbx? I've really missed the missions from FSX, with real voice actors (not microsoft Sam) and events (like a bear running onto the runway). It seems like we're creeping closer to that again, and this new one might be it? If not, anyone know anything similar to that?

I'm sure I'm not alone with this one, but perhaps I am! However, I find it a real immersion killer when flying into an airport and then see dozens or hundreds of cars all start popping into view just as I'm flying within a very close proximity of the airport, sometimes, literally I'll be flying over the end of the runway when this happens. It's not just vehicles, but also baggage carts. A perfect example is flying into the payware of NZQH into Rwy 05, the entire car parks and baggage carts to the right of the runway start loading, literally as I fly over the perimeter of the airport, so very close, we're not talking about miles away. This is not the only airport, there is…

Now I have you confused I will elucidate. They are two separate subjects. (1) I discovered after installing FSUIPC (Free or Paid version) loading time into the aircraft for me increased by at least 80%! I just start MSFS with the FSUIPC MSFS shortcut on the desktop, the FBW A32NX only takes about 50 seconds on average to load in, before it was many minutes. (2) These cameras are exceptional:- https://flightsim.to/file/21684/custom-cameras-and-views-for-almost-every-airplane
