After last update, the VFR map is not working as before. It used to take time to load when starting a flight but it would pop up again fast if you needed it again. Since the update, every time you open the map it takes quite some time for it to load again. Anyone else experiencing this? Thank You

HI, I found my msfs community folder buried in c:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content\ Packages\fs-base-ui\html_ui\icons\community. Is this the folder I am supposed to use for installing the seasons? Right now it just has a bunch of html files it and installing the seasons in it (yes, one at a time) doesn't make them show up in my simulator. Thank you! Eric

AIG has been kind of frustrating for me. First was the learning curve, then it was the loading times and overall general user-friendliness (but hey, its free) Then, I was greedy and simply chose all of the available airlines and downloaded them, which in retrospect, was silly, as loading times became so high that I nearly gave up on the whole thing. This got me wondering what others are doing. Downloading the whole thing? Choosing only the aircraft needed for specific routes? Specific countries? Are there any airlines that are considered must haves? Recently I punted, and took a look at an online airline list and just chose those. So far, It …

As you can see the stuttering when changing or using the views makes using MSFS impossible! Any advice or idea's would be most welcome.

I have been getting some strange behavior with the mods after SU8. Yesterday the modded C208 had a pilot and copilot in the cockpit view I could not get rid of and today I loaded the modded TBM930 and I only have the cockpit section, no wings, tail, nose or engine. Has anyone else witnessed these behaviors?.

I tried AIG on my old PC but stopped because it brought my system to a crawl. I upgraded and will eventually give it a try again. My only complaint was that there were a lot of airlines parked at the wrong gates. My question is, with payware airports (I typically fly into and out of payware), shouldn't the parking assignments be accurate? At FSDT KORD as an example, there were American, Spirit and regional jets parked at the United gates, etc. Do i need to download and install anything on top of the payware airports that I purchased that will have more accurate parking assignments or am I stuck with whatever the airport designer came up with in their airport? I also copied his method in text form to the tips section in case you lose his Youtube video. The beauty of his method is that you are outside the plane but you are still actually using the cockpit camera instead of the outside camera. So you can use all the cockpit camera methods outside; save and load custom views, panning, zooming, etc. For instance, you can always lean out the window to see the runway or save and load a custom view looking backwards over your wing engine. He is using xbox, but it works perfectly with Windows desktop too.

Hello all, I was just planning my first flight for SU8 and went to type in the callsign, I noticed the text was reversed as in the image below...also I can't use backspace anymore to delete the text, it has to be the Del button

I was, as far as I know, fully up to date. But I received an unexpected update this morning. It was small - just took a minute to load and install. I didn't take note of the files it updated. Did anyone else see this or know what got changed? I'm still on 1.23.12.0. I was never in a Beta. Not worried, just curious.

Hi everyone, before creating this post I waited for the new SU and played a lot with settings but nothing changed. I have a GTX 1080 and an I7-9700K @3.60 and lately, every time I use the sim I experience quite regular stutters (no matter the plane I use, it just stutters), especially during view panning and even some CTD or freezes when I pan the view too fast right after loading the sim. I'm quite a noob with graphic settings so I tried following some guides online, especially on V-sync but nothing helped. Any ideas on how to address this?

Starting anew with 2020, not sure if this is the correct forum! Taking off (in any aircraft) releasing Parking brake, increasing throttle plane will come to a stop not allowing takeoff. Anyhelp???

Hello, I am requesting votes to add an option to MSFS 2020, where we can turn off the PILOT voice as a separate option. Currently, turning off voice removes both ATC and PILOT. The reason is that you may use a voice recognition program to speak with ATC instead of pressing buttons. While speaking is more realistic, it also has the advantage of preparing you for real world ATC communications. Even if you do not think you will ever use this, it is very possible at a later time you might change your mind and wish the option is available. Also, it does not hurt or degrade MSFS 2020 to have this option. Please add your vote! Here is the link: ATC …

Hi all. Took a flight in Australian skies, up in the North territories somewhere last night. Took off in heavy rain, so I just decided to climb up through it as best as I could in an ultralight. Not the greatest of ideas, given hardly any instrumentation, but I was able to keep my wings level thanks to the name tags of other players. But I digress….. Once I was in the thick of the really deep cloud base, the clouds turned to huge polygon, 2D panels. I thought it was just a temporary glitch, but it persisted. I don't won Reno air races nor I have not bought the P51 or the Texan, but the content manager says I have them and they are up to date. They are not available when I start a flight. What's going on? Is it safe to delete them?

Hi, with the new update I was able to see the locations of airports to purchase on the map via the marketplace but now that option does not work, they are no airports in the map anymore. Anyone else with the issue?

After downloading Sim Update 8 I cant get passed the loading screen, the music is playing, the progress bar moves along until it get to the end and then nothing... I've emptied the community folder but its still the same. How frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
