Hi Everybody, I noticed with the latest updates that Pop Out Panel Manager wouldn't pop out all my glass screens, at best I'd get three out of four. To get around this issue I found that if I offset the "Identity" location to the lower right side of each of the glass screens and saved those locations, all panels now pop out. Putting the identity in the center of each display doesn't see to work as advertised.

Hi Everybody, I suffered from multi-monitor misalignment issues just about every cold boot while running seven monitors, until I made this change in Windows 11 Pro. Now my monitors stay aligned during cold or warm boot. Go to Settings / Display and scroll down to / Multiple Displays - now uncheck the box that states "Remember window location based on monitor connection" Also make sure you have "Display Policy Service" enabled.

I can't edit or update my previous post. WT21 / CJ4 Navigraph Plugin Updated. Now supports 2020 (still need to bind charts button in hardware but plugin will now parse the route and display charts.) Implemented retaining EIS and Data Bar when Charts are open. Fixed PFD H events being captured. Added improved Menu Navigation, Logout support and QR Authentication support. https://youtu.be/__isw2nF-v8

I have done some additional experimenting with the radio navaids, and have come up with some interesting new results. Apparently, the maximum range at which you can receive the navigation signals from a VOR or NDB depends not only on their type ("HIGH" for VOR/DME's and "HH" for NDB's gives maximum range), but also on the altitude of both the aircraft and the transmitter. In my earlier experiments, the beacons were only 10 meters (30 feet) above sea level. and the aircraft were flying at about 6,500 feet. I got a max range of about 140 nautical miles. In this new experiment, I created a VOR and an NDB at the summit of Mt. Everest - the highest point of land you can get to…

I've been getting deeper into designing custom airports with the SDK and Scruffy Duck's ADE20 editor, and have discovered a couple of things about NDB's. If this info is buried in the SDK docs somewhere, and this isn't "news", my apologies, but maybe it will help someone who is struggling with getting their custom airport to work properly. First off, there's a lot of data on the Internet regarding the "maximum range" of NDB radio beacons. I've seen some documents listing this as 199 nm for "HH" class NDB's, so I tried 199nm as a range setting for an NDB at Howland Island (This was the mid-ocean refueling point that Amelia Earheart and Fred Noonan were trying to get …

I have been struggling for two weeks to build a custom airport with an ILS for MSFS2020. I used to know how do this in Scruffy Duck's ADE for FXS, 20 years ago, but apparently Asobo has changed things. After several days of frustration, and untold hours spent experimenting with Heading and Magvar settings in the XML file, and researching potential solutions on-line, I have finally figured how to construct this data in the XML file so that the ILS localizer lines up with the runway, and the cockpit instruments (VOR or PFD) work the way they're supposed to. This is a long post, maybe too verbose, but I'm hoping it will help some fledgling MSFS scenery designer who is going …

It might be a common misconception that you can't fine tune views w/ the default camera system. I was perplexed by this too until a few months ago, which mostly affected my main frontal pilot view, primarily because I found it nigh to impossible to center HUD display in its HUD frame. Turns out it's super simple to fine tune it or any view: the trick is to Open the Camera interface from the dropdown toolbar Move the Freelook Speed slider down to a very low speed, 5 or 10. Now you can you your default motion keys (Shift+ A, S, D, Q, E) in fine increments. When happy, simply hit Ctrl-Alt+# to lock it in. Then can put the speed slider back to its de…

The default is Cntrl Alt S. But by default it is not operative. You have to go to the surround setup screen and at bottom left look for the Settings Options icon and check the box that makes Cntrl Alt S operative. First time using surround you have to set it all up manually. After that Cntrol Alt S will turn surround on and off quickly (if you have left that box checked). Quirk: On my system toggling surround off will turn off all monitors except one. But Windows Display settings (right click on desktop) will allow you to extend the display across the screens and that will turn on all the monitors with one click. And surround will be off and all monitors back on…

Most of the regulars are well aware of the problems I have had for some months just getting 2024 into my PC despite countless installs and uninstalls Quite a number of people have made suggestions - and I have scoured all over for an answer - even those put forward by Microsoft would not help me For the record - yesterday - I came across a suggestion that changing the "Host" - whatever that means? - might fix this problem faced - by others before I followed the attached URL ------ and 2024 -- loaded straight away in 30secs for the first time👍 How to reset the Hosts file back to the default - Microsoft Support. https://support.microsoft.com…

In Release Version 0.9.23.31 - SPAD.neXt now Uploads and Controls the Firmware for miniCOCKPIT Devices. Additionally this version added the support for the miniEFIS as well. The previous Video is now removed as there is no longer a need to manually change the firmware via external Software.

I was in the SU3 beta build. It ran well. When the beta ended I uninstalled MSFS 2024, cleared all caches, and removed all community content, and reinstalled. The next week was a snap, crackle, popping mess of sound and stuttering. Today I uninstalled 2024, completely, <b>deleted my appdata folder </b> for msfs 2024, cleared the rolling cache and shader cache and reinstalled it all. Stuttering and crackle noises are gone and it is running even smoother than the beta. So, yes, Virginia, uninstall IT ALL.

Note: This flight was made while using a 'cheap' joystick (Thrustmaster T16000M) modified by squeezing the spring, and a cheap collective ... Logitech G Saitek PRO. Yes, it is possible to fly helicopters with reasonably priced controls. I recently sold my pricey helicopter controls (for many reasons) and I am now using these new controls. I can testify that my flying is not any worse than with the expensive controls. 😅🤣 Nice varied scenery with many challenging landings in confined helipads. The locations are in the Reunion Island...Saint-Paul...Saint-Pierre near Madagascar. I think the helipads are part of the following freeware addon, or something similar at …

In some forum posts, I mentioned that flightsims in non default locations can cause winwing panels not work. Mine did not (FCU, EFIS, and MCDU). I had to wander through and drill down into SimApPro menus to find the reason and the cure: 1: click the ships wheel icon 2 Fill in four boxes with file paths for each sim you want to use: 4 for msfs 2024 store, 4 for msfs 2024 steam, 4 for 2020 store, 4 for 2020 steam, 4 for DCS, 4 for PMDG, 4 for some sort of Falcon Sim. Unfortunately Winwing does not tell you which 4 filenames to search for in order to type in the correct path to those 4 files.. But it dos show you some popular standard locations. Using t…

As we all know you have to use SHIFT-C to get in (and out) of the cockpit at the start of the flight. Now SU2 beta offers a new option to skip the pref-flight part (remove chocks and covers etc.): you can assign a key to QUICK PREFLIGHT. So get into the cockpit ASAP (a lot of people hate it that you can start in the cockpit right away) you need to press the newly assigned key and then SHIFT-C . Nice improvement. Great! But... this can be done even quicker...! Tip of the day: assign SHIFT-C also to QUICK PREFLIGHT! (If you use another key to get into the plane then assign that same key to this new function. Duh.) So: you start a flight, click on Ready to fl…
