Hi everyone. Let me start by saying I am on the SU8 Beta. Lately, when I open up the world maps, the airport I selected appears immediately, but the rest of the map takes forever to paint in. If I test my internet speed using Speedtest, I am getting over 900Mbit, so it's not slow internet. Ideas on what may be causing this? Kind of annoying, although it doesn't seem to affect my flying (only limited testing so far). Thanks .............. Rob

I've recently installed the AIG mod. First, the reason I'm asking on the AVSIM forums is because my registration on the AIG forums still has not been approved. I continue to get this error at every step: Your OCI installation is located in a directory that will come close to the maximum path-length of 255 characters! To make sure AIM runs without issues it is suggested to move the OCI package somewhere else. Use the Move-Option in the OCI settings to relocate the package and add a junction-link in your community directory so MSFS and AIM can detect the new OCI location without issues. I bought a realistic sidestick for the A320. I am trying to map the autopilot disconnect to the red button on the stick. In the control options, I found my hotas profile that my stick uses and mapped "button 3 (that is what the red button is)" to the Autopilot off command in the settings. It shows up after I validate, but it doesn't disconnect when i press it in the sim. Should I be using a different command to map or disable a keyboard command or something? Thanks!

We have seen TDS announcing plans for Justflight Arrow VC integration, but in the meantime, PMS50 has released a "WTT" mode for the Carenado Seminole/C337/M20. I just flew a flawless RNAV LPV approach into KTPA via PIE, complete with a teardrop hold at FITPA, exactly like the WT G1000 NXi. Only thing missing is the glideslope indicator on the HSI... Not clear if this is Asobo's or Carenado's or both to fix.. We are getting close 🙂

Hi all, Go easy, I'm not the most tech savvy. Recently bought FS2crew, installed it. Started MSFS, crashes on the loading screen, no error msg etc. Followed a couple of points from some posts about Simconnect and came across a topic from Pete, about adding a Simconnect.ini file which I've done and will upload the screen shot I have of that. I've uninstalled FS2crew (product manager etc) the lot, restarted the computer yet still getting this CTD. Had no problems last night, so somethings happened this morning. Just updated (from Just Flight) the Hawk T1 to version 0.1.5. Without changing anything else, the plane is doing a couple of weird things - namely:- 1) I can no longer keep the plane on the runway when taking off. The rudder deflects as normal but the aircraft veers off to the left 2) The throttle keeps cutting in and out. I have it bound to the plane via FSUIPC - it works fine on all other planes - but the throttle movement is no longer happening and hence no increase or decrease in thrust as required. Has anyone else experienced this? - or have I missed something with the update?

I downloaded mod, put it in the Community Folder, Started up the simulator and it didn't show up. It appears in the Content Manager as Not Installed, How can I install it? Roy

On 1st start up splash screen goes blurred and the content manager does not appear and sim just hangs, I close the sim and then restart, splash screen goes blurred and the content manager appears and the sim then loads with no problems. Sim purchased with Steam. Tried all sorts of things. Removed Community folder. Started offline. None made any difference. Have lived with this since upgrade October 21. Would appreciate any ideas please. Michael.

Hi, I will say that i have googled alot and some VR users have found issues with software that consistently have simular stutter as i have with SU7 (didnt see that with SU6) every minute. I have tried alot inclusive excluding flightsimulator.exe as a process . NV Controlpanel go through. Window and full screen mode , only game mode off as GPU ACC. (simlink off as well) Any ideers ? Hi had a flight plan on the computer setup and it was following just fine, I ended up setting up the ILS frequency on the NAV 1 setup via the FMC however getting close to the runway the ILS GS never kicked in. Is there something that I need do to get the glide slope to kick in...the autopilot was in nav mode.

Back when I first got MSFS, I was flying with Xplane 11, and like the Eclipse Jet a lot. The Cirrus Vision was nice, too. Now that MSFS has been out for a bit, are there any light jets like this available? I don't mind payware, as long as it's good. Aside from that, are there any "must have" planes? I think I read there is a very good A320 developed by someone, and it's even free. What is the best place to get additional aircraft?

Hi All, I am looking for a bit of assistance please. I know this has been bought up before and there are a couple of tree mods in flightsim.to but .... I tried using them and the trees around my local airport are still totally overwhelming. I even bought the Accusim Seasons software yesterday and set it to 75% tree height but to me it is still not enough reduction in tree height. So .... Does anyone know what lines in the 10-asobo-species xml file need to be changed to get a smaller tree in Australia please? At this point I do not know which category Aussie trees even fall under to fiddle with the number myself. I do not think they are connifers. If I can crack this …

I waited but broke down and am now flying the AeroSoft Twin Otter. I'm still waiting on the new sounds but would not buy again based on the current engine sounds. Overall the design and systems are nice but waiting on the PNS50 GTN 750 integration. Also, the Twotter is easy to trim and fly. Still thinking that this one will become a classic so I'm looking forward to more fun. ns

Why do I have to reinstall dozens of files every time there is a MSFS update ? WU files of all previous downloads, Files for purchased airports, etc. I have searched this forum for any answer to this problem. No luck. Does anyone else have this problem ? Dave Hinson

My biggest complaint about MSFS is the shape of trees. They look OK from ground level, but can be a big eye sore looking down from the sky. The tree canopy is too rounded like mushrooms, or broccolis, just not real trees. It can be worse, as they often gave my goose bumps, thinking about diseased skin. I found the modded trees from Rex Accuseason are much better. The modded trees are a bit monotonous, but they look normal, healthy, and real. I wish Asobo can pay more attention to trees, as they are so important for the look of the sim, and our life! At least you can make them less rounded all over the world. And then maybe more varieties, and more realistic looking. …

Hi! Kind of new of FS2020, but have played around with it. This time I have a better system (RTX 3060 Ti + 5600 X + 16Gb + SSD) and I wonder which settings you think I can apply with this setup? Ive got a 27" 2560 x 1440p monitor with free/g-sync. Could I use medium to high settings in the game, and which framrate should I aim for? Any other settings I should change in the game to make it better (no need to be better gfx). Datasettings, AI planes etc... Cheers! =)
