Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

A couple of versions ago there was introduced a bug that the game ignores controller inputs while you are panning around with right-click. Now a new bug has also emerged where if you use middle mouse button to pan, the view keeps jumping back, so you can't pan this way together with zoom anymore. It sort of makes flying a PITA because looking and zooming the view around is something I've grown to do habitually in FS. Though I don't know what the "way of working" is. Maybe those bugs take so long to be fixed because no one else really has the same problem I do. Actually my most preferred way to look around is FSX/Xplane where you can use the hat switch, but …

Hello, Guys! I configured my sim sound output to the speakers. When flying online I assigned my vpilot output to the headphones. But when I tried to record my flight via nvidia shadowplay, there were no ATC and online pilots voices recorded... The sim's sound and my voice were captured. Could you tell me how to configure the right way in order all sounds to be recorded?

Anybody know, when using simbrief to create a flight plan, then save it for a Microsoft flight simulator 2020, how to load it without the flight plan changing on you when you select a parking spot. When I load the flight plan it looks great, the route is what is shown, but when I choose a position at the airport other than the runway then all of a sudden the route has changed. Is there another way around this? Or is it better just to create the flight plan through the flight computer completely manual which I'm still learning to do?

Ages ago there was a thread that suggested Transparency Antialiasing should be off in MSFS - I've had mine off ever since. I have been plagued by the volcanic ash cumulus clouds that really spoil live weather. As I just got the Google Map Tool working nice using the new 'Bing Maps (Latest)' server, I had yet another play around with the graphics settings. I set Render Resolution to 120 to really get the latest Bing Maps looking good. Flew around for a couple of hours loving the views, but I then encountered some large cumulus that looked ruddy awful. Hi. Has anybody tried Simaddon’s CYYJ (Victoria International Airport) or CYEG (Edmonton International Airport) for MSFS? I am referring to the sceneries at https://www.simaddons.com/pages/simaddons_addons_msfs.htm. It’s a little above average in price for MSFS sceneries. But as of the moment, there are no other well done 3rd party sceneries for CYYJ or CYEG. It’s Simaddons or nothing else (if there are alternative well done CYYJ or CYEG for MSFS, I’d like to know). Does anybody own either of these Simaddons sceneries? Otherwise, if you don’t own these specific Simaddon sceneries, are there people that own other Simaddon Canadian airport sceneries? How are th…

I bought the hotas magnetic base with the FSProjects (https://www.fsprojects.eu/) stick and it arrived today. Does anyone know how i can get MSFS to recognize it? My PC shows them in the device manager, but when I go into MSFS, in the control settings, it only shows KB, mouse, my T.1600 stick (i plan to keep that in the game for rudder and some view settings), my warthog throttle, and my rudder pedals. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? I doubt the stick and base are defective since my PC sees it. Much appreciated. Thanks!

I kind of like flying the Otter with a modern Aspen Evolution glass display. This is using AirManager on a touch screen monitor. And I use Track IR with the Puck sometimes, not all the time but when flying through a tight mountain valley dodging snow squalls it is terrific, very immersive and the frame rate on this model is the best I have seen in my setup so far in an add-on. The Otter flies really well now even on auto pilot. I have flown all kinds of approaches now on AP and no problems at all. But I really like hand flying it, it has a real nice stable feel. It feels heavy but very stable and can land very short if you set things up right. This is now …

Has anyone else seen this from the Kodiak? It is some effect of heat from the exhaust. The top (2) images are from earlier in the week but I noticed it beginning to develop again today during my approach (3rd image). It is not as obvious in that image but it had its own color. There is always a bit of realistic heat distortion, but in these cases it becomes opaque to solid. I have not seen this with any other aircraft in MSFS.

Two quick questions on two difference topics... Can someone recommend a good addon for an enhanced VFR map (in-game)? I would like one that shows cities and other info, rather than the bland one that comes with the game. I see there are some apps that run outside the sim, but are there any in-game addons? Is there a replay option yet (like Xplane has)? Thanks ✌️

We know that 2022 is going to be a watershed year for MSFS. At least 3 great addons will be released, PMDG 737, Fenix 320 and Maddog X MD82. If 3 developers release their addons at the same time and you only had the money to buy one of them, which one would you choose? Honestly it's a difficult choice, but for me love speaks louder... I will go from Maddog without regret. Is that you? What would be the choice?

I just purchased and hooked up Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo Peripherals. Everything works as it should except my Ailerons. when game the yoke on the screen is at full left and ailerons are at full left. When they started with their nightlighting products I found them too exaggerated regarding red, blue, green colors. But looking at Amsterdam + EHAM looking at their screenshots it looks not that bad. Anyone tried their products ? Opinion ? Has anyone found any water runways in MSFS2020? I check 5 or 6 that I normally use and they are not recognized in the sim. Vic

Hey all, I've been flying DCS mainly for quite a while and thought I'd give civilian jets a go. In MSFS, is the FBW320 the best jetliner available? I've seen there's also a well regarded CJ4 but I'm much more interested in something bigger. Is it superior to the Aerosoft CRJ? Not in terms of aircraft performance, but general realism/functionality/ability to fly like you would in reality. Thanks

Hey guys I am having some issue understanding english ATC, I am french, because of VHF quality and sometime it's too fast, I need some training. No way I will adventure online without some improvement. Is there any program that would connect a live ATC feed, to my position or radio setting from MSFS? If not, what would be the best solution?

Photogrammetry comes with its own high res aerial imagery and in many cases I think its much more realistically colored than other areas. Sometimes it seems too brown but I get the feeling that if all the area was that same color set, it might be right. Many PG areas, like in the pic below, look great to me. But it got me to wondering if people who do not run with photogrammetry on get the benefit of these higher res aerial images. You can clearly see the border on the right of this pic.
