Probably a dumb question but which Aussie airports feature animals after update 7?

I have let the installer go for hours. Sticks on 32 percent every time. Tried suggestions from the Zendesk, but nothing works. Thank you Microsoft. Bill W

I'm really annoyed about the stupid file system of MSFS and all its restrictions. How can I create a MSFS profile for another application like LogiTech Gaming or others? When I want to create such a profile I'm asked to add the corresponding .exe. But MS does not allow access in any way. Even when I took "ownership" of the whole MSFS folder. I know it should be possible because I created once a MSFS profile fo RTSS, but currently I'm lost and angry ... Any ideas?

I want to download the beta for su8, However I learned my lesson last time and I don’t want to reinstall the whole game after the beta is over and comes out for everyone I have installed the sim At the default location meeting I will have to reinstall. someone said I can just make a new folder called for example “msfsbeta” Copy my existing files there and install the beta there and then I’ll be good to go just delete it when I’m done and go back to the regular location when the beta is over. What files do I copy And paste To this new msfsbeta folder? Is this even possible? Thanks

I got this warning several times today, but my speedometer shows 280-300 Mbits. That does not make sense for me. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hi, Ive noticed that when creating a high alt airway flight plan in MSFS and use the TBM the plane starts to veer to the right and does not follow the path that is shown on the map. Auto pilot is turned on, NAV is turned on, and ALT is also used. I seem to have to be able to use the heading hold and just follow the path manually which is lame. Any advice? Thanks

It seems everyone loves the latest WU of down under but in all honesty... I think the colors of the ground textures are awful... It is way too obvious I am flying over really bad Bing textures. Things look too magenta or too blueish green and the colors change all the time during a flight, often with very hard and obvious lines. You simply see the bad Bing tiles. I can't enjoy AU at all due to this. Yikes. Am I the only one??? I tried to love this update for a few weeks but I am leaving Australia now... It's immersion killing to me...

It's one of a bazillion airports on sale in the Marketplace. Only rated 3.2. AvAngel flies out of marketplace payware Bella Coola (175 miles away on Youtube from time to time). This is real life CAH3 from either end you are over the ocean until touchdown. I wonder why the low rating?

Hi i noticed some people have been removing WU Australia but just PG cities, how would i go about doing that? Apparently they affect you even if just flying in say UK. Just curious how i'd do that and dont want to bust anything. The reason is i have not really flown much in Oz as always in the UK so not really needed, and want to see if its WU7 that has made my CPU usage go up.

So I did not see any multiplayer online pilots anymore with SU8 BETA so in Steam opted out of the beta. Then fired up MSFS2020. And now the World Map and Fly button are gone! I cannot create a flight, cannot fly. Anyone knows how to cure this problem?

I’ve had MSFS on PC since launch, and have accepted the crazy-long loading time as being a necessary evil for such a complex piece of software. I have a very powerful PC with a 3090, 5950X, super fast hard drive etc. However, I recently got my hands on an Xbox X, and was astonished to discover that it offers a “Quick Resume” option, which means I can go from Xbox dashboard to MSFS in about 2 seconds! Even without using the Quick Resume I can be in the sim in hardly anytime at all. To get into the PC version is probably well in excess of a minute. A month and a half ago I got a new PC and was flying great. Suddenly the past couple weeks, I get a crash to desktop within a couple minutes of starting a flight. I'm at my wits end as to what to do. I play lots of other games and have zero issues on my PC. I've taken the following steps and still a generic cessna starting on any generic airport crashes. The system itself is fine, MSFS 2020 just crashes and goes to desktop. I actually loaded up another game without rebooting and the system was fine, so I really don't see a hardware issue. I always start MSFS from Addons Linker after selecting the addons I am going to use. Yet lately, with no apparent reason, MSFS does not start using this procedure (I have to start it from the start menu and selecting MSFS). It seems that something has changed the properties of the MSFS exe file properties. It does not even work using a shortcut in the desktop to start the non-video (reduced loading time) version. Does anyone have any suggestion on what should I look at to clear this issue? Thanks!

Hi All, Normally I fly European routes but today I decided to fly in Canada, my home country. Sitting at the gate at CYEG preparing for my flight with live weather the windshield completely froze up, all the icing settings in MSFS are turned off. Even with the engines running and anti ice turned on it would not clear on the ground. I had to turn live weather off and manually set the temp to get rid of it so I could see out of the cockpit window to taxi. Does anyone know how to stop this happening with live weather? The TAT was only -4. I don't know if I am missing something completely obvious. I turned all the anti ice incl probe/window heat on & off but it …

None of my aircraft will tune a ILS frequency anymore. I'm not sure what's up... I'm talking stock airplanes with a GNS530 or even the G1000 Nxi. I did cancel my Navigraph sub but it was supposed to go for another month or so. Is it possible cancelling that disabled all my frequencies for ILSs? It's a really weird issue - never seen it before. edit: This is still SU7. Edit of the edit: I figured it out....Navigraph deleted all my data when I uninstalled it grrrr (and did not restore default). That's a little annoying imho. Anyway deleting the Content.xml for the sim worked - the sim automatically rebuilds a new one upon startup. Problem solved.…

My Mooney doesn't want to seem to follow the localizer or begin a descent on the glide path. Can someone check using the GNS530 (this is what I am testing). It WILL intercept the loc is you only press NAV. But pressing APR makes it shoot through and not descend. Again this is an ILS using VLOC. IRL and sim, what is the proper process for determining what weather characteristics are safe for a specific GA aircraft (or any aircraft for that matter)?

Hi, Default Drone speed is 4% and the only way to change the speed is using the toolbar’s menu. Moreover, as soon as we leave Drone view, we have to set this value again, which is disturbing and annoying. I suggest: 1/ Making Drone Speed increase/decrease assignable with keyboard and controllers, same as Translation and Rotation speeds. 2/ Adding a SAVE function, so we can save the chosen drone speed to a certain value without having to set it higher each time. Hi, Apart from the known issues with the G1000 NXi and the PMS GNS530/GTN750, the only addon I've found incompatible with SU8 Beta so far is Black Square's Real Taxiways, immediately crashing MSFS. I suggest listing your findings here as well.

My odyssey into traffic has consumed a fair part of the weekend, but I wanted to report back on my findings so far. I first purchased Simple Traffic available from Aerosoft's website for $15. Installation is super easy. It is a one click operation, without any configuration to do. That would also be the biggest positive. It really doesn't move the needle much if what you are looking for are airports that sort of feel alive. Using real-time online traffic I didn't see much in the way of moving aircraft, taxiing, takeoffs, etc. The real issue here is this tool relies 100% on MSFS for actual traffic behavior, which most of us know is totally broken.
