  1. Enjoy! And if you want a Chinook, the Miltech version is amazing. https://www.miltechsimulations.com/products/miltech-simulations-ch47d
  2. The C-17 is good, but that’s the only default aircraft I use anymore. Most of the others I was interested in (A330, Saab 340) are quite disappointing, still full of issue, and I never fly them.
  3. Toronto Pearson and Cancun would be my two wishes. Both could certainly use an upgrade over the currently available products.
  4. All good for the financial health of our hobby!
  5. Hopefully we get a marketplace update today. While I didn’t preclude buying the L1011 as a marketplace exclusive, I’ll sure be moving my purchase to INI as soon as that option is available.
  6. I’ve had it happen in cruise sometimes, really messes up the autocruise/ time acceleration. Other times it’s perfectly fine though.
  7. A few days in now and I’m quite enjoying the head tracking. I did try the eye tracking in some driving sims but I don’t think it’s for me. With my large display I like to be able to look around it without my eyes moving things. With head tracking only, I’m not noticing any meaningful difference from Track IR, I’m quite happy with my purchase.
  8. I have the TQ6, I use it mostly for GA only as I have other throttles for airliners, helicopters/fighters etc. It does the job for me, and is mechanically very well done and should last a long time. The only issue I ran into was with the desk clamp, I wore one out pretty quick though the replacement seems to be holding strong. I also own the Yoko+ and Ruddo+, and bought both with the expectation they were a long term investment. They seem durable enough for that to be the case. In contrast, I had to open up the first Winctrl Airbus throttle they sent me due to a defect (they expected me to open it up and partially disassemble it to do troubleshooting/testing to diagnose the issue, which is a whole different complaint) and what I saw in there in terms of build quality and materials left a lot to be desired, and made me question the long term durability. You get what you pay for. I too saw the TQ6 Neo and love the idea of having a beta range / gate for turboprops, but I cannot comprehend how it costs $2000. I could see a premium over the TQ6 of course, but 166% more expensive is hard to understand.
  9. Interesting, I’ll send a note to Tobii to make sure it was indeed shipped with the method I paid for. Are you in Canada as well? I have mine straight ahead, but on my desk on the camera tripod adapter. I use the Tobii Display Setup Tool to configure the location I have it sitting on my desk. It took a bit of fiddling but it’s working well now. It’s high enough to clear my hardware for driving and flight simming.
  10. That was my thought. The INI A350 is certainly good enough for my needs (and I expect most people’s needs). What we’re really missing in the Airbus world is a decent A330.
  11. My Tobii arrived yesterday and I spent some time last night getting it setup, figuring out the best desk placement with the tripod etc. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. I got it setup in a few driving sims last night, and tackled MSFS24 this morning. If I’m reading things correctly, it looks like I can’t use the MSFS built in Tobii controls if I have opentrack installed, but I need opentrack for another game I play (Train Sim World) so I’ve gone the opentrack route for MSFS instead. Did a bunch of tweaking this morning and am generally happy with the results, though I’ll likely keep dialling things I as I fly. I’d say the head tracking is pretty comparable to Track IR. Maybe not 100% as precise, but nothing that causes me any concern. I plan to unplug and pack away my TrackIR receiver today. I opted for the $20 express shipping. I ordered it April 3rd, and it arrived yesterday. Interestingly it shipped from Sweden rather the US even though I bought it from the US store. I’m in Canada. Not bad overall given I ordered it at the beginning of Easter weekend, though not the advertised 1-2 business days. Overall I’m quite happy and it’s nice to have head tracking without wearing anything on my head!
  12. After skipping the -600 and the -900, this is the one I've been waiting for.
  13. I’ve never been to any our northern territories before, but would certainly like to one day. It’s a different kind of pretty from a tropical beach for sure, but pretty nonetheless.
  14. Got my third full flight in today and starting to feel more comfortable with it, a few things I’m still not sure about: - I had a few cases where I was descending and the altitude capture did not work, it just kept descending. Not sure if that’s a bug or a feature of an older autopilot. Other times it worked fine. - On final approach, I had a pretty big discrepancy between the PFB calculated Vapp (140) and the speed commanded by the auto throttle in AOA mode / VTH (155). Not sure if this is normal or how close they should be? I disabled the auto throttle and landed at 140 without issues.
