Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

  1. Hello everyone. I've been making control devices for virtual pilots for several years now. For the last few years, I've been working specifically on FFB devices, specifically the FFBeast project! In this project, the joysticks can have a load capacity of about 15 kg, the rudder up to 25 kg, and the Throttle and Collective up to 10 kg. The author's website is https://ffbeast.github.io/ The website with my products is https://gvl224.com/ Videos of the devices I've made are on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@GVL224/videos

  2. Came across a video showing a fully customizable modular switch box. Looks like you can simply and quickly build your own toggle buttons, rotary dials, push button, sliders, and even analog joystick modules. Pretty interesting concept. I'm wondering if anyone here tried it yet in Avsim, and curious whether it plays nicely with MSFS' control bindings for general aviation and commercial aircraft. The possibilities seem endless in MSFS especially in VR where every extra control really counts.

  3. I'm currently battling an issue where the Moza AB9 stick axis goes "dead" only on iniBuilds aircraft, (321lr, 350 for example) however the buttons still work, super strange. The stick will work just fine when I fly the Fenix though. I've tried switching back to the 'factory' USB cable and such, but hasn't made a difference. I've tried different firmwares too. I even went from SU4 to SU5 beta and the issue remains. Just curious if any other AB9 users are seeing this issue?

  4. I want one. Seems perfect for when you just want to fly, without arranging/organizing a ton of peripherals.....

  5. Hello all, After spending quite a bit of time refining my own setup, I ended up designing a bunch of general aviation flight sim modules focused on usability, realism, and clean cockpit integration. The goal was to create something that improves workflow and immersion without adding unnecessary complexity. This project ended up being a bunch of throttle quadrant variations, standalone throttle controls including carb heat, prop, mixture, throttle and primer and 2x different flaps modules. I also have tons of things in the works including autopilot and trim which will be released soon. My stock is very limited and I am running a limited sale unt…

I figured I'd share my experience with others incase some are having the same issues. I have seen a few post online with others having the same problem with the X-Axis (Roll). I have already sent my TCA Yoke back to Thrustmaster once to fix the issue but it came back a month later. Here is my original problem: Thrustmaster SupportMy TCA Boeing Yoke X-Axis keeps centering left of center. I can unplug and re-plug it in and it will be fine for awhile and then it will shift to the left of center again after awhile. This is not good when trying to fly planes in MSFS2020. Sometimes it will be fine on take off and then loose center on landings. Sometimes I have to pus…

  7. Currently I'm using the Thrustmaster Boeing Throttle. It works fine for Boeings but I want something that is a little more dual purpose. I've been eyeing the Moza MTQ. I've read and watched mixed reviews. Does anyone here have one and what do you think about it?

  8. Enjoying my WinCTRL (especially the price) airbus throttle, but I also need throttles for the GA’s I like to fly. I’ve had VF TQ6 and TQ6+ in the past and they good, not sure I’d say $750 good, but solid units. Only thing I didn’t like about the VF TQ6’s was the resistance control was a bit “janky” … as in it just seemed to compress the arms on a rod which would make the outer arms more resistant than the inner middle arms. So now I’m looking for 6 axis throttle unit (only need the throttles) and looking at the VF TQ6 Neo (at about $2000 US). Do anyone have this throttle? If so, how do you like it? I’m don’t need all the extras that come with Honeycomb thr…

  9. Looking for some thoughts on braking as I do not use a rudder pedal set with toe brakes, I already owned a Logitech G29 racing wheel and have been trying to make that work. The pedals are the standard automotive 3 pack so I have the clutch and accelerator pedals bound to left and right rudder and that has been working great! Both are Axis control so the fine adjustments are possible, taxi is easy and I don't have too many issues with single prop torque on take off once you get the feel for it. My main issue has been braking - since the pedal brake is like a car, there's a lot of resistance once you get to about 60% of the axis, and you really need to push to hit 100%…

  12. HI Guys, had anyone ever encounter on your TCA Thrustmaster Airbus throttle suddenly not responding at all? the throttle is detected by a USB device, and you can see it on the control panel properties where we can also calibrate, but all buttons and levers aren't responding? any ideas?

  13. Since I’ve downsized my flight simulator hardware “environment” to something relatively easy to unplug and move aside, I’ve incorporated 4 Stream Deck modules (1X Stream Deck Mk.2, 2X Stream Deck +, and 1X Stream Deck XL). I purchased several aircraft profiles (PMDG 737/777, iniBuilds A340/A350, TDFi MD-11, etc.) from Flight Panels website. Super easy to install (run the exe) and get working immediately in MSFS 2024. The installer installs Mobiflight WASM and freeware version of FSUIPC7 (already had license keys for full version) and adds the profiles to my Stream Deck devices. I was sorta expecting “issues” … almost always seems that “something” I need to do …

  14. Hi, i am having a bit of troubleshooting how to mount the AGP to this ? I also have the ecam and the throttle but i guess that should be easier than the AGP with gear lever Thanks Michael Moe

  15. Hello; Recently got a Core Flight B737 Compact Overhead panel. It has a 2 pronged EU power cord that says 250v~. I am assuming that it is not dual voltage as my adapter does not work when I try to power it on. I think I need a converter, but all I can seem to find is for using US 110 to EU 240v when in Europe. I need the opposite as I want to plug it in here in the US. Any electrical folks with knowledge of what converter/adapter I need? Many thanks.

Hi folks, I'm in the market for a decent nose wheel steering tiller control, preferably in the A320 vein but am open to others, to replace the joystick I've been using as tiller for a long time now. Preferably something that is reasonably priced too - I appreciate these things aren't cheap but some hardware is so eye-wateringly expensive they're not that far off the parts in the real aircraft 😁 If there are any that you would recommend, would much appreciate your input. Thanks all

  17. I wanted to share my recent experiences in the hope that it would help others make an educated decision on doing business with Winwing/Winctrl, particularly from one of their country specific stores (the Canadian store in my case). I’m not one to complain too loudly when I’m not happy with a company, but this experience was so unbelievably bad I felt I needed to share in the hopes I might help someone else avoid the issues I had. I preordered a bundle from Winwing’s Canadian store in December 2025, it was the Airbus gear handle, ECAM controls, timer, auto brakes etc. I paid for it in January 2026 and it shipped shortly after. UPS listed the shipper as ZENDA LO…

  18. I'm using a regular PC office chair with two bass shakers, but I wonder if there'll be huge a difference if I'd go with the Next Level Racing Flight Seat Pro Boeing Military Edition vs the regular PC office chair, regarding the bass shakers. Are there pros / cons with the NLR seat Pro Boeing Military Edition vs the regular PC office chair? Any advices are welcome, thank you. https://flight-simulators.co.uk/acatalog/Next-Level-Racing-Boeing-Military-Cockpit-679.html I apologize if I posted in the wrong place

  19. Dear AVSim community, I’ve developed an adaptor which allows you to connect the Shiftall MeganeX Superlight 8k (either original or the new Mark 2) to the Bigscreen Beyond Audio Strap. The adaptor retains the flip up display functionality of the MeganeX, while providing the ergonomic benefits and audio that the Bigscreen Beyond Audio Strap provides. Here is how it works: Playfold MegaBSB VRFlightSimGuy has recently reviewed it positively in his recent review of the Shiftall MeganeX Superlight 8k Mark 2 (about 2 minutes, 50 seconds in): VRFlightSimGuy Hopefully it results in more comfortable sessions for those that have this headset. Thanks…

  21. Good evening. My problem is the following. I can't get the VRinsght MPC combo II (Boeing) to work correctly. I have followed the steps, I have given it a PMDG profile although my plane is the one that comes by default in the MFS24, it recognizes me but does not interact with the simulator correctly. thanks

  22. For those that have FSLabs321neo the latest update makes everything compatible and works.(fs2020)

  23. Started by WolverineHusky,

Picked up a VPForce Rhino FFB base and thought I'd give a review and initial impressions after a day with it. Why? Always wanted FFB and chose the VPForce Rhino over the FFBeast and Moza. I went with VPForce because of the software; I’ve heard great things and rarely read anything negative about it, so I figured it was a safe bet. I actually considered buying it years ago, but it was like a 1-year wait back then so I passed. I primarily fly with a VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV. I’ve got 1000+ hours in MSFS and DCS each, and I fly pretty much everything... rotos, fighters, GA, and airliners. Ordering Easy enough to order online. The website is straightforward and not fanc…

  24. Hello Fellow Flight Simmers, I am currently in the process of attempting to sell a Used, Thrustmaster TCA Yoke Pack Boeing Edition. Includes both yoke and throttle, in excellent condition. All buttons and axis still work with no issues whatsoever. I have only used it ONCE for a flight from KORD-LGAV and I didn't enjoy using the product unforunately. It was just simply not my style. I do not have the space in my new room either to store it or attach it on my PC to utilise so it just sits in its ORIGINAL box. Would love for it to go to a home that would have proper use for it. Please let me know if you're interested, I am happy to negotiate a price to price liste…

  25. Started by SayAgain,

After entering all the appropriate paths for MSFS 2024, P3D, XP12, I was presented with this Key Bindings dialog. Checked the SimAppPro manual and they list two sections for Key Bindings for P3D and XPlane ... both are just empty ... and there is no section in the manual for MSFS 2024. The manual seems to be focused almost entirely on DCS. Does anyone have any tips, video tutorial links or anything that might cover setup for WinCTRL with MSFS 2024 and PMDG 737?
