I even went from SU4 to SU5 beta and the issue remains.  Just curious if any other AB9 users are seeing this issue?

This project ended up being a bunch of throttle quadrant variations, standalone throttle controls including carb heat, prop, mixture, throttle and primer and 2x different flaps modules. 

I also have tons of things in the works including autopilot and trim which will be released soon.

I have seen a few post online with others having the same problem with the X-Axis (Roll). I have already sent my TCA Yoke back to Thrustmaster once to fix the issue but it came back a month later. 

Here is my original problem:

My TCA Boeing Yoke X-Axis keeps centering left of center. I can unplug and re-plug it in and it will be fine for awhile and then it will shift to the left of center again after awhile. This is not good when trying to fly planes in MSFS2020. Sometimes it will be fine on take off and then loose center on landings. Sometimes I have to push and pull the yoke Y-Axis (elevator) to get the left/right axis to re-center. I use both the TM drivers and the Windows drivers with the same results. Any suggestions as this is become a pain to use.

Since the problem came back I decided to see if others had the issues. I was amazed that this was a common problem. I then came across a post from a user on the xplane.org site. He actually took the yoke apart and figured out what was causing the problem.

I followed his suggestion and order a magnet from Amazon.

I installed the magnet and ran the TM TCA Boeing Yoke calibration procedures.

Since doing this I have not had a single issue with my TCA Yoke. The calibration is spot on. You figure a company like TM would fix the problem since there have been a few RMA from other users. I saved myself a second RMA to TM and being without a yoke for a week or two. Simple fix for around $8.

So now I’m looking for 6 axis throttle unit (only need the throttles) and looking at the VF TQ6 Neo (at about $2000 US).  Do anyone have this throttle?  If so, how do you like it?

I’m don’t need all the extras that come with Honeycomb throttles and the Thrustmaster throttle tend to drift and don’t return to a position and stay in that position.  Haven’t discovered another other 6 axis options of reasonable quality.  WinCTRL have suggested sometime 2027, but that’s too far out for me to wait.

The pedals are the standard automotive 3 pack so I have the clutch and accelerator pedals bound to left and right rudder and that has been working great! Both are Axis control so the fine adjustments are possible, taxi is easy and I don't have too many issues with single prop torque on take off once you get the feel for it.

My main issue has been braking - since the pedal brake is like a car, there's a lot of resistance once you get to about 60% of the axis, and you really need to push to hit 100% braking power. This is not ideal when trying to land and use rudders to keep on center (three pedals but only two feet!) I do have a backup keybind for full brakes on the yoke, but I'm curious if anyone else is using non-standard rudder pedals and how they get around the issue.

I've been fiddling with the sensitivity settings to get the brakes to full without needing to push as hard, but its finicky. How do toe-brakes differ? Do they have an axis as well, or do you typically just go full on and wait for the plane to stop?

]]>692738Sun, 29 Mar 2026 11:51:38 +0000Impressed with Stream Deck integration with MSFS 2024.https://dev.avsim.com/forums/topic/689711-impressed-with-stream-deck-integration-with-msfs-2024/ Since I’ve downsized my flight simulator hardware “environment” to something relatively easy to unplug and move aside, I’ve incorporated 4 Stream Deck modules (1X Stream Deck Mk.2, 2X Stream Deck +, and 1X Stream Deck XL).

I purchased several aircraft profiles (PMDG 737/777, iniBuilds A340/A350, TDFi MD-11, etc.) from Flight Panels website.  Super easy to install (run the exe) and get working immediately in MSFS 2024.  The installer installs Mobiflight WASM and freeware version of FSUIPC7 (already had license keys for full version) and adds the profiles to my Stream Deck devices.

I was sorta expecting “issues” … almost always seems that “something” I need to do to make stuff work in a flight simulator.  But I didn’t need to do anything, fired up MSFS 2024 with PMDG 737-9 and all my Stream Deck devices were fully functional and very responsive for rotary inputs and button push.  For the Stream Deck + just swipe display to move to another profile set.  

I remember spending days/weeks working thru GoFlight gear and GoFlight Interface looking for the correct events/vars and mapping them out to the button/rotaries/switches.

I hope those make aircraft profiles for simulators keep at it and expand to other aircraft … huge time saver and well worth the cost.

Also found a USB-C and USB3 powered hub with 16 ports and switched from ACASIS that is working flawlessly (I’ve always had USB hub issues in the past and trying to find one that works correctly for both USB-C 10G and USB3).

Recently got a Core Flight B737 Compact Overhead panel.  It has a 2 pronged EU power cord that says 250v~.  I am assuming that it is not dual voltage as my adapter does not work when I try to power it on.  I think I need a converter, but all I can seem to find is for using US 110 to EU 240v when in Europe.  I need the opposite as I want to plug it in here in the US.  Any electrical folks with knowledge of what converter/adapter I need?

I’m not one to complain too loudly when I’m not happy with a company, but this experience was so unbelievably bad I felt I needed to share in the hopes I might help someone else avoid the issues I had.

I preordered a bundle from Winwing’s Canadian store in December 2025, it was the Airbus gear handle, ECAM controls, timer, auto brakes etc.  I paid for it in January 2026 and it shipped shortly after.  UPS listed the shipper as ZENDA LOGISTICS Corp., which I assume is just Winwing’s freight forwarder in Canada.  Unfortunately UPS lost the package.  I filed a claim, UPS confirmed the package was lost, issued a credit to the shipper, and told me to follow up with the company I had bought from.  Annoying, but shouldn’t be a big issue, right?  Wrong.

I contacted Winwing, and they said they had no record of it being lost and they would contact UPS to confirm.  They refused to accept the screenshots I sent from my UPS account as proof.  Weeks went by, nothing.  I can only assume UPS wasn’t responding to Winwing because the package had been shipped by a third party.  I spent a lot of time trying to explain to Winwing their own shipping practices, provided proof from my UPS account that it was lost and a claim issued, but they stubbornly refused to do anything about it until they heard back from UPS directly.  Winwing denied using a third party to ship packages, but also told me they had no way to confirm with that third party that UPS had issued them a credit.  Oh boy.  It was honestly the most frustrating, bang my head off a wall experience I’ve had with any company.  It was like I was arguing with people on a rigid script with no ability to actually look at the situation, or even a bot that just kept taking me in circles.

After several weeks of this and nothing progressing, I started a claim with PayPal.  PayPal asked me to try and work it out with the seller.  I thought maybe Winwing would have someone more helpful involved now that it had escalated to a PayPal claim, but if anything it got worse.  I explained all the facts, provided all of my documentation, but again they just kept saying they hadn’t heard from the shipper so couldn’t do anything.  After much back and forth, they said they could help me “apply” to have the product resent, but only if I dropped my PayPal claim.  Nice try, but the PayPal claim was my only leverage so not a chance…what a sleazy move.  And not even that they would resend it, only that they would help me apply for it to be resent, whatever that means.  I did ask what they meant by “apply”, but they never answered me.

Eventually, they said if they hadn’t heard from UPS by March, they would issue me a refund.  March 1st arrived, I asked them to proceed with a refund, and received no answer over the following week.  At that point I was close to my PayPal deadline to resolve the issue with the seller, so I escalated to PayPal for their intervention, and got an email from them today confirming they had ruled in my favour and would be issuing a refund.

Maybe this would have different if it shipped directly from Winwing, but who knows.

I had always heard that Winwing’s customer service was their weak point, and had indeed faced some annoying interactions with their customer service before.  But this experience was well beyond poor service, and into the realm of deceit and incredibly poor business ethics. It’s unfortunate all around. I’ve several pieces of hardware from them and they are quite good, but I can’t see myself taking the chance to ever give them money again, which is unfortunate and was completely avoidable on their part.

Sorry for the long post, I hope someone finds it helpful.  It was certainly a bit therapeutic for me!

Why? Always wanted FFB and chose the VPForce Rhino over the FFBeast and Moza. I went with VPForce because of the software; I’ve heard great things and rarely read anything negative about it, so I figured it was a safe bet. I actually considered buying it years ago, but it was like a 1-year wait back then so I passed. I primarily fly with a VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV. I’ve got 1000+ hours in MSFS and DCS each, and I fly pretty much everything... rotos, fighters, GA, and airliners.

Ordering Easy enough to order online. The website is straightforward and not fancy. Paid with PayPal. If you are in the USA, be prepared for some serious sticker shock as the dollar is weak. They asked me to verify myself and confirm my order via email, and then shortly thereafter (maybe a week) I got the shipping number.

Then came the first bit of heartburn: I received an alert from UPS that my order was in customs and I needed to pay some absurd "tariff fee" to get my package. An unexpected expense, irritating, and it was a MATERIAL amount. I paid it, but I wasn't happy with the surprise charge. Is what it is. It took about a week to arrive.

Initial Impressions It is a beast. Big and heavy. Looks very well-made and high quality. I ordered a VKB conversion kit so I could attach my Gunfighter grip, and an extra mounting plate (I probably didn't need the plate... more on that later).

My first suggestion: READ THE ONLINE MANUAL. This thing is expensive, so I took my time and didn't just plug and play. I definitely learned some things regarding setup and configuration by slowly going over the manual. I also watched a few YouTube videos which were helpful. The software is a bit intimidating, but eventually, I understood the basics and confirmed I was good to go. Installing my grip was easy. It’s very much plug-and-play, but again, read the manual and ensure you have the latest firmware (mine came with the latest) and have the power settings dialed in. I set the "strength level" knob to 50%, which seems about right for my tastes.

Mounting This is a challenge. I couldn't find anything online that made sense for my setup, so I ended up taking a janky "MacGyver" approach. I went to Home Depot, got a 4x4 and a fence post mount, and just built a sketchy little mount that I attached to the floor lol. Not a permanent solution, but it works. This thing MUST be mounted firmly; due to the force, if the base moves, everything feels off. I will probably get a quick-detach plate eventually and search the earth for a mount that works. I didn't want an extension, so I just eyeballed a height that worked for me and secured the Rhino. Do your research on mounts (and feel free to share what you find!) as the size, height, and power of this thing are no joke.

Flight! Powered up DCS and jumped into the MiG-29A FF. This thing shines with that plane. First, when you cold start, it goes through a trim reset process and moves the stick around. I was giddy watching my physical stick mirror the one on screen. So awesome.

Flying it takes some getting used to when moving from a spring-based VKB to the Rhino. It feels VERY different, but awesome. The stick gets stiffer if you hit the afterburner. If you engage autopilot or set trim, the stick stays in place or moves as the avionics dictate. The immersion is incredible. If you slow down significantly, the stick softens up. It reacts realisticaly.

It makes landing a lot easier, especially in the MiG-29A which takes some finesse. Also note: in the 29A, the stick rests fairly far forward with zero trim. I thought I had a config issue, but after some research, apparently, that’s just how the real plane is. Again, awesome for immersion.

It's also a game-changer for rotors. I’ve flown the Apache, Huey, and Hind. It makes the Apache and Huey feel so much more intuitive. I still need to practice with the Hind as I was all over the place (even though I can usually handle it easily). It just takes a different kind of muscle memory. When cruising in the Huey at 110 knots with the nose down, that stick gives you a workout! Slow down and pull back, and you feel the tension loosen. Just great.

Haven't flown in MSFS yet but will eventually. (Remember to click "FFB" in the Misc settings in DCS, btw).

Final Thoughts I won't sugarcoat it: it ain't cheap. But I fly enough that I'm willing to buy top-end equipment. I own a Yoko+, Ruddo Pedals, and an NQ6+ engine control unit, so I'm happy to invest in a hobby I've been at for 10+ years. I think it’s going to be well worth it. Once I get the mount situation sorted, I'll be even happier. As an aside, I don't notice any annoying motor sounds or anything. It just works.

I am currently in the process of attempting to sell a Used, Thrustmaster TCA Yoke Pack Boeing Edition. Includes both yoke and throttle, in excellent condition. All buttons and axis still work with no issues whatsoever. I have only used it ONCE for a flight from KORD-LGAV and I didn't enjoy using the product unforunately. It was just simply not my style. I do not have the space in my new room either to store it or attach it on my PC to utilise so it just sits in its ORIGINAL box. Would love for it to go to a home that would have proper use for it.

After entering all the appropriate paths for MSFS 2024, P3D, XP12, I was presented with this Key Bindings dialog.  Checked the SimAppPro manual and they list two sections for Key Bindings for P3D and XPlane ... both are just empty ... and there is no section in the manual for MSFS 2024.  The manual seems to be focused almost entirely on DCS.

Does anyone have any tips, video tutorial links or anything that might cover setup for WinCTRL with MSFS 2024 and PMDG 737?
