Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etc

This is a forum to discuss issues with Joysticks, pedals, yokes, other interface hardware like panels, etc.

Have any of you heard of or bought this product? It's a B737 EFIS Panel and it sells for $149.00 USD. The name of the company is Mechdiy, which is based in Hong Kong. It sounds like a good value for the money, but there are no reviews on it. I sent them a few emails, and they were quick to answer my questions about the product. Winwing would've been my first choice, but they only make Airbus EFIS panels. There are a couple of more sources out there, but the prices are way too high. If any of you have one of these, please let me know how it works. Thanks. I just saw that hardware topics are not supposed to be posted in this section of the forum, but I can't delete or…

It would be nice we could get a 747 Mode Control Panel ( MCP ) Hardware which could then be used very well for all 777 models and also for the upcoming 757 and 767 variants. I think that would be great and believe it would almost be a necessity, so I hope Winwing brings it to Flight Simulator market some time soon. cheers 😉

VF Switchos Pro Does anyone know if these VF modules have backlighting? Can’t be positive from the pictures, seems to be just white text and no backlight.

Good news, the PMDG 777-200LR seems to work now on both Sims, MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 ! cheers 😉 1.16.62 1.The PFP7

I am a FS hardware newbie and I am struggling with FSUIP7. I have bought the Sierra Delta 3d Throttle lever add ons and I am having trouble getting the buttons on the throttle levers to work at all. The instructions were pretty obscure to say the least.. It looks like I have to runFSUIP7 to get them to work as it appears to have no driver software? What is FSUIP7 even do? I have found it and run it and it seems to have no UI - am I missing something. It looks as if I also have to grab a DLL from the fs SDK ? It all feels a little amateurish. I have the Winwing PAP.3N ( which is fantastic BTW) panel with the powered A/T Arm switch, so I want to use the A/T Disengag…

  9. I got a brand new PC setup, so I am pretty sure this not a driver issue. I have an older Saitek Radio Panel and with Spad.neXt. I am able to load a snippet and have the panel working fine in Spad. I have the 3 decimal places working, so I am sure things are good. When I start up FS2020 and use the PMDG 737-800, the panel lights up and things look ok at first. When I put a frequency in the Standby with Com1 and then swap it, the new frequency moves over and after about 1 second both the active and standby revert to a default value from what was showing in Spad. Surprisingly enough, when I use Com2 everything works just fine. The frequency swap holds just fine. The …

  10. to all, from Ron Kolesar. AKA The Blind Pilot. Luckily thanks to the X Box operator from Microsoft, we linked up and I was able to get past my road block. But, when I run the upgrade to have the most up to date version of 2020, it states that I don't have enough space on my c drive. Now, I know that I have plenty of space left on the hard drive. So, why can't I still not be able to access 2020? Also, in my letter back to X Box support, I went to my c drive's properties. But every time I would go back and forth between the info that I was copying into my letter and the letter itself, the numbers in the properties constantly changed on me. …

Upgraded to the new version of Spad to take advantage of the new Winwing functions. Do I understand I have to upgrade to the Complete version of Spad to use the profiles for Winwing? ($89) Has anyone tried the Winwing profiles?

Does anyone have any experience with this joystick? I am looking to get a replacement for my CH Flightstick Pro, but I need something that is very precise in flight controls, throttle control, and also ease of use of the hat switch. That throttle control is particularly important, as I like to have very precise control of that during taxi (we are talking tenths of one per cent accuracy here). This would be for flying the PMDG 737 and 777. Alternatively, if there is any other joystick that is considered to be a better option, I would be interested to know.

I am looking for informations or some one who would know how to setup properly the helicopter controls on the helicopter on msfs 2024 and xplane 12. It has been a good month that I have try to setup everything and I have tried many, many and many adjustments, settings, curves and cannot get the dammed thing to work and fly properly. I am getting really p----- of, I just want to fly the f-------- thing. I have a real Bell 206 collective, a real Bell 206 cyclic and really good home made anti torque pedal. I know quite a bit about computers and I am also a commercial helicopter pilot so there is no questioning about flying skills, it is just about the software itself. Any hel…

Does anyone have the TCA Airbus throttle and stick mounted to desk with meza mounts? I've located some of the mounts on amazon but am hesitant to pull the trigger as many of them only mention the TCA as an afterthought, like it "should" work. Cheers.

  17. Dear Community, I own two Airliner1 / AirLeaderX CDUs for FSX iFly 737NG. Both units are stuck in bootloader/ISP mode and require a firmware reflash. The updater (mcuisp.exe) works, but the firmware file is missing. Could anyone please provide the CDU_Update_20140415.hex firmware (the file referenced in the updater config)? Thank you in advance - without it the units remain unusable.

  18. Hi, I've done a lot of reading and YT watching and I'm still confused about what's supported in MSFS 2024. I've been going and forth as to whether to invest in the iFly 737 Max, or just stick with the tried and true FBW A320 Neo. I started to lean towards the iFly but when I started looking into the WinWing options, it's very confusing. First question: - Do you need Mobiflight to use these WinWing devices with MS2024 or can you just use their SimAppPro software? AP Panel: - It seems the PAP 3 is supported in MS2024 with the iFly... SimAppPro 1.16.44 release notes: "PAP.N.3N.1.1 device supports 737 MAX with MSF2024." Flight…

The RZ Axis on my one year old TCA A320 Captain's sidestick is uncontrollable in such a way that whatever input I give, it is going from center position at once to either left or right maximum position only. No way I can get it to go smoothly from center to maximum left or right. How can I resolve this? All other axis work perfectly still. Or is it time for a new stick? Thanks for any help, Hans

Is anyone running products from both companies? Just wondering if there are any known issues with running both of their software apps together? I've had the MiniFCU since the kickstarter, though I have not picked up any of Mini's other stuff but I was debating adding the WinWing airbus MCDU to my setup. Wanted to make sure there wouldn't potentially be any collisions/conflicts with the two pieces of software running together.

While attempting to start ENG #2, an amber message indicated that the ENG #2 throttle was stuck in the REV position. Physically it was not, it was in the IDLE position. I knew the issue was not calibration because I had calibrated it two adays ago after installing the Fenix BFU but no matter what I tried, the message would not go away. The only way to fix this was to quit and restart MSFS 2024, and after that all well. Of course I had to reinitialize the flight before I was ready for pushback/taxi and this cost me 30+ minutes so here is the question. Is there any way to remedy a situation like this without having to exit MSFS 2024 ? Is there an way to reset the …

I had the Winwing MCDU for a while now and it works great. I just bought the FCU as well and ran into trouble. I run them through SimAppPro newest firmware all installed. When I have both devices connected the Screen of the MCDU stays blank. The second I unplug the FCU the screen on the MCDU comes back again and vice versa. As soon as I plug the FUC back in the MCDU screen goes blank again. Any clues on how to solve this? Edit: Disregard. A restart of the sim fixed the problem.

Has anyone come across a list of supported aircraft for this new unit? On the website it says “TODO” but I was wondering if a list was mentioned elsewhere I hadn’t come across. I assume the usuals, PMDG 737, iFly Max but would like to know before buying. It looks like a nice unit (in particular with the magnetic autothrottle switch) and could be a good replacement for my long standing GoFlight MCP PRO.

  24. Anyone else with a MiniFCU have issues with trying to go back to their DLS software after using Mobiflight with it? I had the April 26th firmware update installed and was using the 1.x versions of DLS just fine and could swap to Mobiflight when I wanted to use it with a 787 etc in MSFS 2020. Since October with their Oct and both November firmware updates flashed after resetting the board config in Mobiflight the firmware claims it flashed ok, but trying to use any of the new 2.x versions of their DLS including the new one that just came out this week for both 2020 and the new 2024 version it doesn't work. As soon as I revert Mobiflight config to the MiniFCU firmware fr…

  25. I have the TCA Throttle Quadrant Airbus edition with the addons (flaps and spoiler modules). It has been working fine but decided to recalibrate it (had not done so for some time). When I execute the calibration procedure exactly as specified in the first 55 seconds of the link below, the calibration works for the throttles but not for the spoilers and flaps. After the calibration, when I move the spoiler or flaps handle to the first detent, it behaves as if I moved it to the full position, i.e., I am unable to move either arm to an intermediate detent. I confirm this behavior by running joy.cpl and then the Properties tab. Both spoiler and flaps arms feel fine and I…
