MSFS 2024 beta 5 update 1.7.22.0 released
Uh huh... I had one lengthy conversation with it over a subject I was personally very knowledgeable about. It made stuff up, doubled down on it and then denied any wrongdoing when called out. You must not use it as an information tool! It's a language model that tries to mimick human interactions, nothing more.

And where is the problem in using the speedbrakes? This is done in real life as well. Coincidently I just saw two real Airbus captains streaming their Cross the Pond flight on Vatsim and the pilot flying said in real life they never use managed descend anyway, because you a) will never know if the wind does not suddenly change in a way that the aircraft starts to dive to meet its target and b) you need to slow down to 1000ft v/s when reaching the last 1000ft before your target altititude to not trigger any TA/RA in case of traffic below you and if you do that in managed mode you will likely miss constraints if there are any. So in real life they go V/S mode and manage the descend themselves.

I hope that will come one day once all the groundwork is done. And then make it dependant on current traffic flow just like in real life. Another thing it needs to stop doing is giving you instructions to slow to final approach speed before the 6 Mile point, or at least not before established on final and at least 8 miles out. The speed instructions really need work. Having aircraft fly at the same speed for seperation makes sense but reducing you below minimum clean with more than 15 track miles to go makes no sense at all. I have been instructed to go 180 knots above 30 miles out during the last two flights. That's simply way too soon.

Ai traffic and A32NX ND?
What has that to do with which AI traffic you have installed? The TCAS doesn't care if there is traffic or not when you switch it on. The message not displaying points more to the fact that you didn't actually switch it on. Make sure the Transponder is also in AUTO. By default it is off. Then you can switch the TCAS to TA/RA all you like, it won't work.

Yeah and checking it is a bit of a hassle since it does not work on the ground. You have to be in cruise for that. That's why I personally haven't gone around to it. I only heard some people claim it is not simulated. It was in XPlane though. Doesn't mean it is in MSFS. Edit: I checked it now. The EQT Page is simulated and functional.

So you trust AI, which is notorious for making stuff up, instead of checking it for yourself? We really are doomed as a species if this trend continues... This was also not the question that Fergus asked. He was not asking how to access it, he wanted confirmation by someone who has the add on, if it is simulated.

Could you give a specific example that would make changing the STAR in flight necessary? I can't think of any on the top of my head. ATC assigns the STAR you fly it. You can change runway and approach if necessary but I don't see how changing the STAR would be necessary.

There is. Getting a GPU with more VRAM than the 4060 he has. I should know I am in the same boat and keep on eying the 5060 because it has twice as much VRAM. 😉

Who here remembers Ed? He was the master of self made photorealistic 2D Panels in FS9 days. When those types of panels vanished, so did he.

It's not the textures it's the modeling. Have you looked at the overhead recently? Or the geometry of the sidestick? It's atrocious.

Didn't the moderators say to keep the posts about new updates in the existing thread and not continue to make new ones? It seems to me that they stopped doing that. They have neither updated nor added sceneries to their portfolio in years.
