Static aircraft, to be or not to be
No to static AI, if it doesn't move or at least intend to move, I don't want it.

Dont know about you guys?
Each to their own, I still hang on to 2020 as it can handle the FBW A380 moreso than 2024, but both FBW aircraft taxi like absolute pigs, so 99.9% of flights for me are in 2024 in the Fenix, the A350 or the 77W. If I was hard drive poor, I would certainly uninstall 2020, but I have 2 8TB SSD's, so there's more than enough room for both.

Bought the Ini A340 - totally unresponsive after 1 hour
Sorry to have somewhat taken over your thread @JYW - just wanted to report a successful loooooong haul in the A350. A tad over 14 hours block time, aircraft didn't miss a beat. Now, to summise what I *believe* may be a contributing possible factor towards WASM crashes. I tried this flight yesterday, but got an orange screen crash whilst loading cargo and pax at Sydney. My intention was to include and be able to see the physical passenger models from GSX Pro, but instead I got the crash and therefore gave up for the day. So I tried again today, except this time in GSX I unticked the IniBuilds A350-900 box, so that I would still get the passengers, but they would not visually appear in the cabin. 14+ hours later I'm touching down on 06R at LAX. Is GSX part of the issue? I don't know for sure, what I do know is that I'm going to bed now, one satisfied simmer. I love this plane. Cheers. EDIT - I don't use any sim rate changes whatsoever, for the record.

Will soon find out, re-doing DAL42, SYD to LAX overnight, this time in 2024. Fingers are crossed, this is fast becoming my favourite aircraft, both in sim and IRL.

I employed this method and had another crack at a flight in the A350 in 2024 - landed this morning after 9+ hours, flew like a dream. Bravo @Bigmack

User of both, compares SI and BATC
Not about to read thru 10 pages to check (sorry it's almost midnight here), just wondering if anyone has heard of or even tried this: https://www.flywithskylink.com/ Was almost tempted to make a purchase until I saw that the cost is in USD, which I find odd considering the guy is obviously Australian. There are youtube links on the above site.

Never mind, found my answer.

This has been my "favourite" wasm crash just coming onto finals at SYD, handflown with no instrumentation all the way to the ground. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the A350 many times, cleared the wasm folder after each crash, nothing seems to work. No such issues (touch wood) in FS 2020, although it does feel like an A350 Lite.

KDFW Coming Soon
JFK is the only airport (therefore the only ini airport) that has forced me to reduce some settings for a smoother FPS experience, looking forward to DFW. That being said I would absolutely love to see what ini could do with Kingsford Smith. FlyTampa is fine, but an upgrade would be somewhat selfish nice. 🙂

MSFS 2024 Users!!! Did you delete MSFS 2020 yet???
Sadly I've cleared the wasm folders more than I've flown lately, I get annoyed and shut the whole sim down, when I should be reporting the crashes to the dev.

I thought I had moved on, but I kept getting wasm crashes on the A350 in MSFS 2024, I still have 2020 installed so I just flew SYD-LAX as DL40, with no issues at all, unloading at gate 131 as we speak.

GAIST v7.1 in MSFS 2024
Just took off from Changi with Seafront Simulations global installed. Wow. Just wow.

Who else fully moved over to MSFS2024 this week?
On Christmas Day I flew DXB to BNE in the FBW A380 in real time without issue (13+ hours). Just now I completed BNE to DOH in the PMDG 77W without issue (14+ hours). Next will likely be DOH to MAN in the ini A35K (a small hop at 6-ish hours). So long and farewell MSFS 2020, I'll never forget you.

I was 2020 all the way but saw substantial improvements when I opted into the 2024 SU4 beta, both in graphics, performance, and most importantly (for me) PC temperatures. I am preparing to fly EK434 OMDB - YBBN on Christmas Day in real time in the FBWA380, if my system can handle that, then yes, I will gladly uninstall 2020 and not look back.
