Upgrading to 2024 - which edition?
I got the Premium Deluxe version, since the money really wasn't an issue. I have to agree with the guys that got the Standard version, though, since I really don't use the aircraft. I use some of the stock airports, but I also had to disable several others to avoid conflicts with the addons that I purchased. I also agree that it's always best to buy addons from the developer, or you can also use Orbx and Contrail since updates are readily available from both.

Looks Like I'll Return to 2020
There are tons of videos available on YouTube that are very helpful in resolving all sorts of issues such as yours. I use them constantly to investigate problems that I encounter. I would recommend a channel called "IslandSimPilot". This guy is very knowledgeable and has numerous videos that are very clear and concise. I suggest you check him out.

General Aviation vs Airliners
Airliners are my choice, since I did that in the real world for many years. I also instructed, did some charter flying, and flew for a few regional outfits back when they actually used GA aircraft. This was well before the Regional Jet era began. I can certainly see how GA flying would be enjoyable in the sim.

WNCTRL US Website issues
Is anyone, besides me, here in the U.S. having trouble with the WNCTRL website. I keep getting a screen that says, "Bad Gateway". Is this something new, or am I late to the party?

wincontrol airbus mcdu
My only issue with the WNCTRL products I have is that the lights always come on full bright on the FCU and the EFIS panels when I start SimAppPro. I've tried different settings, but it keeps happening. It's not really a big deal though, I just turn them down before I fly. The lights also come on sometimes when SimAppPro or the sim aren't even running. It has to something I'm doing wrong since I haven't seen any other posts on the matter.

iFly 737 "9-Month Silence" SP1 for MSFS
This sort of reminds me of the QW787. I pointed out many obvious items that needed correcting via the customer forum. I never got any responses and eventually the entire project seemed to be abandoned by the developer. It also reminds me of the time Amazon tried to get into the Cell Phone business. I was one of the victims of that fiasco.

iFly B737 Max 8 frame rate issues
Are any of you having low frame rate issues with the iFly B737 Max 8 in 2024? I loaded a flight at CYWG and initially the frame rates were fine. I was running Navigraph charts, Active Sky FS, Vpilot, SimAppPro, and Mobiflight, as I always do for every flight. As soon as I started taxing, the frame rates started dropping off and were down to about 15 FPS from the initial 58 by the time I reached the runway. I also ran Windows + G and saw that the CPU, GPU, Ram and Vram loads were all low. I'm using the NVIDIA 595.79 Studio Driver. I changed the graphics settings on the fly and tried several different combinations, but nothing really made any difference. I have very high-end hardware including a 5090 graphics card. I then loaded the PMDG 737-900 and it ran very smoothly at 60 FPS in the exact same scenario for the entire flight. I don't use DLSS or frame gen and I don't use any external FPS programs. So, again, are any of you guys seeing the same thing? Thanks.

TLOD and load times
I sometimes get hung on the overhead view also. I always thought it was just because maybe the servers were busy during peak times. My TLOD is set at 200 and I don't use any frame rate controls. Most of the time I don't have the issue.

How to easily set up a realistic Field of View (FoV)
I know you can toggle views. What I was asking was, is there a way to drag a separate view of the cockpit from the main monitor to another monitor so it can be viewed and modified to see out the aircraft side window without having to use the keyboard to look left or right. This was possible in P3D. Thanks.

How to easily set up a realistic Field of View (FoV)
I have a 3-monitor setup. With P3D it was fairly simple to open a separate window on the main monitor and drag it to one of the others and get a view out of one of the cockpit the side windows. I haven't tried it with MSFS 2024 yet., and I'm not really sure how to do it with this sim. If any of you are doing this, how do you set it up? I always run in the full screen mode for all the monitors. Thanks.

Airports you miss from previous sims
KGPI, Glacier Park International. Nothing available for 2024 that I know of.
