Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have been trying to complete the training with all A's. I have succeeded with the basic handling, take-off and landing, vfr navigation, and bush pilot. I then skipped the airliner program and moved on to the IFR I passed the first 5 lessons with B's. When I got to the ILS approach. I hit a brick wall. I can hold both the localizer and the glide slope on target and land. No matter what I do, I end up getting a message "You Failed the Activity". No critique, or mediocre grade. What am I doing wrong, or is the problem in the program? Can anyone help? Jim Elder

Hey guys - I'm looking to see if anyone has created a mod or config that would allow the basic AP settings (course, altitude) to work with Asobo's Local Legends planes. These things are pretty to look at and fun to fly, but for those of us with real world responsibilities having a basic AP would allow more enjoyable, longer flights with these pretty antiques. I've been enjoying the Frett Bonanza mod however I can't seem to keep the engine running after landing. I've tried opening the cowl flaps on approach and leaning after rollout but the engine always quits on me. Any advice would be appreciated.

I set up my tiller to be the joystick twist axis on my stick. For whatever reason, I can turn the tiller to the left fully, but only about less than half way right. What could be the cause of this? Thanks!

Anyone know if this can be done with FBW and simbrief plan installed? I tried and I could not since no flight plan is loaded from the world map.

Would it be possible to somehow have both the developmental version and experiment installed at the same time and be able to switch between the two via MSFS addons linker? If so, how?

Hi All, Hoping somebody with some knowledge of OpenTrack or a better working knowledge of the MSFS Camera system can help me here. I've got three joysticks plugged into my system. The Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo Yoke and Throttle quadrant as well as an X-Box controller. The only buttons I have assigned within the sim itself are linked to the X-Box controller and control the views (I.e. A button for internal camera, C button for External and B for drone). I’ve just bought an Xbox, so that I can take it with me when I travel away to work. That way I can still get my flight fix. However, after installing everything today, I realised that some of my PC purchases, such as the JustFlight Piper Arrow, were bought outside of the Marketplace. Is there anyway I can inject them into the Xbox version?

Twice in Leg 5 I got to within a few minutes of landing at the destination and the engine quit. I'm guessing it's because I ran out of time. The opening says the plane cruises at 125 knots. Even at full power I was in the only in the mid 90s. I managed to land on a road but trying to restart the engine did not work. Got a hundred or so RPM's but that was all.

I have vPilot installed and was wondering if it's possible to use MSFS+VATSIM for plane spotting at an airport? I won't be flying. I just want to see planes land and take off. I also have AIG Traffic installed as well.

Hello. Ever since the new update came out I have been unable to update my game. I'm using the Steam version, premium deluxe. I have cleaned up my community folder, tried fully reinstalling the entire game twice, but during the installation one archive would always roll the installation progress back several gigabytes.That archive is "fs-base 0.1.211.fspatch.zip". It goes to decompressing it and resets back to downloading it again over and over again. It's an endless cycle. I would highly appreciate any help.

Here is three shots of just having come in to St.Bart's with St.Bart's Enhanced Scenery installed. The wave action is being set up by Real Weather today, and same for cloudscapes in the area. W Update has been a real asset, no bogies...and just sheer performance and fun! With all the enhanced shallow sea water....it's truly starting to look more R.W. with every update. Finally I feel that the updates are all steps forward, in the dance...

Hi, I have been trying depart out of Gatwick twice now, and both times a CTD occured. I am using the FBW A320 Experimental version, first time it crashed when I at the gate when modifying the route in the MCDU and the second time shortly after departure, when entering a DCT. Is there something known with issues on the FBW side or is something wrong with the WU8?

Unless I am wrong (Which I could be) the way you loaded passengers into the FBW A320 was in the FMC, the AOC menu, then W/B submenu; is that correct? Since the last update, when I go that route I just get some sort of fuel loading page. Has something changed? If so, how do you know add passengers / load? Thanks, Dave

So far, I have purchased the Carenado Piper PA34, PA44, and the Cessna C337H Sky Master, and the Aerosoft Twin Otter from the in-sim Marketplace. I can't locate the Pilots Operators Manuals for any of the planes. Can someone help me out here and point me in the right direction? Thanks

Do you use a joystick for realism, or just go unrealistic with a yoke?

I'd like to get and idea of how well the sim is performing for you in NYC. Is it smooth @ 30? What CPU are you using? For me it used to be smooth about a year ago with my 1080P monitor & locked at 30 fps. I also set to hi-end and run with PG on. RC at 80 & sliders at 100. I only want to get an idea of what CPU I need, because I'm blown away with what I'm seeing on the screen and want 30 fps instead of fluctuation between 20-30fps. Panning is where fps drop, then stabilize to 25-30. I want to avoid the red. If it's even possible. Thanks. Jose

Hi, A couple days ago i bought the kodiak 100 from simworksstudios, however there is a little issue: Most of the buttons i keybinded are working, except the starter, fuel pump landing light and fuel selectors. As an example when i press the fuel pump you will hear it start twice before it actually runs, the button in the cockpit doesnt move either. Both my fuel slectors dont work, they do work when i use my mouse. If i turn the fuel selectors on with my mouse and i turn them off with the button on the honeycomb bravo, the warning light on the dashboard starts blinking. But it doesnt move the selectors in the off position.I am using the honeycomb alpha and br…

Hi, I wrote here on Sundaycomplaining that all of sudden on Friday my sim decided to require a re-install ( after having played ok since August 2020). I had all updates loaded ( version was 1.21.8....). So, I used the Sunday for installing the whole thing and WU's and made a nice flight with DA-62. Today I started the program well informed that a new WU is to be installed and made an update in MS Store. Then when launching MSFS what the XXXX! Mandatory update 107,6GIB.. What is wrong now?
