Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

What is this setting really doing? Does it simply display the full detailed Airbus and Boeing as AI air traffic when off and use a more friendly AI model for them when on? Does it affect GA aircraft? Any other effects?

I completed the "From the Sea into the Desert" with the DA62 - what a majestic flight really awesome. Flying the bush trip using Bush talk Radio with Little Navmap for backup - really impressed with the sat imagery and overall crispness. Tonight I got through 50% of the "Australian Southeastern" bush trip from Canberra to Melbourne this time in the 172. Such a cool flight out of Canberra and over the snowy peaks. Awesome stuff really enjoying it, well done Asobo!

I am enjoying WU7 quite a lot and I was thinking what was your opinion on FS World Updates so far. I would place Australia (still, lots to be seen and enjoyed) on top 3, 1 and spots being Switzerland and France, with UK, being a close 4th.

Hi all now that I have MSFS2020 installed was wondering if anyone is having issues accessing the AI Manager app over at AIG for ai traffic? Its been many many years since Ive been here since I had FS9 as my last sim with years and years of work put into it. can someone help with this it seems as thought the alt select in the carenado ovation is very tricky. i cant determine the best way ( never works for me ) to pull the alt selector to modify the alt v.s selector.. the device seems to only want to adjust to 500 fpm. how do you pull the selector to make the v.s change to what I want vs what the canned 500 fpmthat is tied . to the armed alt selected. It is very odd how it does not allow this .. My mouse seems not able to get the know to change can someone provide the command or magic requiredto get this to work Thank you Peter

I am using latest version 12.11, SU7, no additional liveries. Every thing else on the panel is working apart from the CDU's I have tried using some of the WT previous versions, all with the same result. Is anyone else seeing this? Thanks Al

When I start up my new Twin Otter everything on the panel works as it should. EXCEPT, the center panel which contains the the GPS, radio and autopilot. Is there a secret switch somewhere?

Sometimes live weather is a complete bust and other times it's pretty accurate. We actually have more snow on the ground than MSFS shows but that's to be expected.

After installing WU7 update, get "This App Can't Open" error message so cannot get into the game. I've read where others have had this on previous updates so I could use some help to fix this. Never had any problems on previous updates. Have the latest Windows 11 updates and RTX 3080 Nvidia drivers.

I have noticed recently that when flying in multiplayer with a buddy that the sim is not doing a very good job of displaying each others aircraft selection. We usually make sure that we have the exact aircraft type and repaints in our respective Community folders before the session. He is flying the PMDG DC-6 and I am flying the TBM. We both have the DC-6 and the TBM repaint in the community folder. However, when we spawn in, his aircraft appears to me as a generic yellow or blue Airbus A330 (yuk), and I appear to him as a generic PC-12. The only time we appear correctly to each other, is if we spawn in as the same aircraft type. Am I doing something wr…

when I start MSFS, I head to flight planning, plot my flight, then jump to the aircraft (what ever aircraft that is) and I find my flight already inserted in MFD, I couldn't find a way (maybe I just don't know how can I do it by using default flight planner) to start a new flight and have it inserted into aircraft MCDU or G1000/3000/5000 without having to quit my current flight and start all over again. example, if I plan flight from EGLL to LEBL, after arriving I want to go back to EGLL without having to quit current flight using default flight planner, is it possible? sorry for the long story.

They said the WADD Bali airport rwn 27 ILS is now working with the latest update. It was not working earlier when the add on was released I went to Aerooft and downloaded their file (It was the same file size as the earlier released) and the ILS didn't look like it was fixed. I then realized I have an item on my Menu called Aerosoft Updater. ASupdaer.exe I ran it and it listed all the aerosoft addons I have installed. It told me nothing else. Does running this automatically go and update all the addons if it needed updates? I have no clue about their new update process.. I don't hang out there all the time to know these things. Any id…

Has anyone figured out how to assign the Flood lights switch in the default MSFS Baron and Bonanza to a yoke switch? I find assignments for Panel and Cockpit lights, but I cannot identify which MSFS Controls setting influences the flood lights. For clarity I have circled the Flood light I am referring to and the Flood light switch I am referring to in this image from the Bonanza.

My auto pilot is still not working, was hoping the update would fix it but it still isn't working! This happens on all planes! My problem is that I can't engage it! I can turn the auto pilot on and turn the alt hold on but can't turn the nav hold or the approach mode on. I tried using the keyboard no luck there either. Thanks

I can load my flight plan from Simbrief into the skypad on the A320 but the map does not display. Is this functioning now?

SInce the update I have no photogrammetirc cities unless I use bing data. Thought it might be just Australia, but Tokyo is the same. Looks like they've bundled the data such that you miss out on photo data if you bypass the bing server and use the google tiles.
