Is it possible to delete individual log book enteries. Flying in the Fiji area, I quite often position the A/C at an airport to see what it looks like for landing & T/O. The logbook shows the airport but no flight times as there is none. I want to remove these dud entries to keep the logbook as close aspossible to realistic.

hello Is Intel core i9 with 64G ram and RTX 3080 Ti good enough for MSFS 2020? Or can I save $600 with 3070 Ti? And is 1TB SSD enough if I want to save videos of flights? thanks

I have P3D v4.5 currently, and am curious whether v5 is a better path at this point or would MSFS be a better path. Not looking for any religion here, just observations from those who’ve used both. I have a relatively high end machine with a 4K monitor, all about 18 months old.

If there is one thing I do miss about this sime is a nice utility to make your own gauges and panels and the put the panel on aseperate monitor. Lets hope for the future someone builds a nice utility to do this. There is one program to do something similar but I miss my panlel maker utility.

Have installed for 2 days Msfs 2020 and now after several crashes issues have donwnloaded the new OpenXR Toolkit. After wanted to play the game and after searching 3 minutes for updates it gives me one of 115 Gb!!! How can that be? When it reached 10 Gb of Download I looked at the Release Notes and it gave a list that did not seem to hold 115Gb. So I paused the download and restarted it. It was not even capable to rejoin the already downloaded 10 Gb, but showed about 500Mb.... when opening up Release Notes it did not report the previous list but only stated: Downloading... SO HOW CAN ONE TRUST THE STABILITY OF THIS SIM? IT IS FRUSTRATING AND IS AN ABUSE. Just won…

  7. Hello, I posted this on the fsdeveloper forum earlier but as avsim gets quite a bit more traffic, I thought I'd try here too. There doesn't seem to be a subforum it quite fits in, so I hope here is ok: I'm curious - is there a way in MSFS, via a poly or anything else, to force autogen buildings in an area to only be created from a specific library? My specific use case is the villages near all the bush strips in Papua New Guinea. It's great that this sim natively includes dozens or hundreds of these strips, but the autogen buildings that make up the village are usually a little out of place. Apartment complexes, suburban duplexes with satellite dishes etc. You know,…

I'm sure this is finger trouble at my end, but for some reason, whenever I drop a repaint into the community folder (Addon Linker) none of them show up in the livery selection page of the aircraft. Any advice appreciated.

I not sure if this is the place to post this, please move if not. I have the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant throttle. I am trying to make this to work with the MSFS Longitude. When messing with the sensitivity settings i just can't get close. I would like the Idle on the throttle quadrant to match idle on the Longitude throttles. Please can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you

  10. Has anybody here tried "Beautiful World" from developer Perfect Flight (https://www.fs2000.org/)?I tried the London tour in the Diamond DA40. All of the promised POI icons are there, but I didn't get any descriptive text or speech. There is no documentation with the Beautiful World download, so I may have to change something in my MSFS setup. I did contact the FS2000 support email, but no answer. Can anybody help? Thanks!

Hey All, Is anyone in the UK experiencing server problems? First I got an error message saying MSFS couldn't validate my license. Then I lost Azure Text to Speech ATC. Then I got a message saying my bandwidth was too low and got switched to offline mode. SpeedTest.net is reporting 105 Mbit/s. No problems with my internet connection...

Every since SU7 I feel like I no longer know how to fly. I fly the Pipistrel Virus exclusively these days so maybe somethings changed with the plane but it just seems that I can be lined up on final and all is going well - looking fine - and then I touch down and my aircraft just veers right off the side of the runway unless I greatly increase rudder input and even then sometimes its not enough. I'm not sure whats going on. anyone else have this issue?

We all saw the 3 talking heads Twitch, and vintage plane fans will probably rejoice. Jan. 31 WU7: the Fokker VII associated with Admiral Bird flying to the pole (his book was "Alone"), Amilia Earhart in the flight which first made her famous, and Charles Kingsford Smith, Australia's great flight pioneer hero. A month later, March 1, SU8...Fernando Carenado announcing SU8 will be accompanied by his Beech Staggerwing. Late March, WU8, Iberia, we have the Dornier flying boat ( the 1920's crew flew from Spain to Buenos Aires a year before Limbergh's famous solo).

Is there any method, within MSFS, during a flight, to look up frequencies that are in actual use in MSFS? I continue to encounter instances where published real world frequencies are not in use in MSFS. Case in point is the ATIS/AWOS at KHUF, Terre Haute, Indiana. The FAA published frequency is 127.50. That frequency is not working in MSFS. That is just one example. I am encountering others. Rather than simply press "B", I routinely monitor ATIS frequencies along my route and change my altimeter setting like I would if flying. I am so much done with updating my altimeter setting along my routes with MSFS ATC. I was up on about 18 hours of actual ride along fl…

No, silly people, not THAT big news.... https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/159509-27jan22-pmdg-dc-6-for-msfs-pmdg-operations-center-notam-important Apparently, there will shortly be an update to the PMDG Operations Center that will make installation of liveries into both the MSFS Marketplace and PDMG store bought versions somewhat more straightforward. This requires an update to the OC. This post reports that it will be necessary for users to remove any installed liveries before carrying out that update. Easy. Have a good weekend, everyone. Have fun.

I love flying the stock Baron, especially when combined with the WT G1000. But the performance is really lacking above 10,000 feet. Has anyone done any mods of the plane, like has been done with the Bonanza?

  20. I purchased the RealSimGear GND530 some time ago, and have been very happy with it. However, I had no idea that MSFS seems to suffer with the same FPS issue regarding pop out panels as P3D and FSX(?) ie. heavy drop in framerates when moving a panel to a second monitor, in this case, dragging the GPS panel out of the main monitor onto the screen of the secondary monitor of the GNS530. The hit is significant. eg, 45fps down to 33fps! About 25-30% IMO this is unacceptable. In researching the issue I came across a fella on YouTube, and this may be a well know option, but for me it was new, who cured the problem by turning back on the motherboard intigrated graphics in the BIO…

The last few flights I have done I have experienced very blurry airport textures when landing. The flight is perfectly fine until I approach the airport. This happened into FlyTampa KLAS today and KATL (3rd party) the other day. Both flights were on vatsim with lots of traffic and AIG so I think that might have caused it. It was so bad you could barely make out the runway and couldn't see any of the numbers, signs, etc. As soon as I got off the runway, it popped into perfect textures and resolution. What could be the cause of this, too much traffic? Texture Res - High Anistropic - 16c Supersampling - 8x8 Texture synthesis - Ultra

hi all, I just got the Bravo throttle controller. It looks beautiful, throttles reversers, awesome!! What a piece of hardware.. the quality 😮 However, the switches and using them to control the lights, specifically in the FBW itsn't working as I expected. Taxi light isn't moving at all, and for the landing lights there is no retract button I noticed and it moves the taxi lights atst. Any tips on this? cheers Vic
