Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When's the next update come out, seems like it's been forever? Better question would be when do I get to re-install MSFS 2020 again :)

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but with all the recent live weather issues that MSFS2020 has had, which now seems somewhat fixed, I no longer see lightning in areas of known thunderstorms.

I tried to bind Condition lever to low and high idle on some buttons on my Hotas, but it doesn't work on Kodiak, is that a specific bug for that aircraft or is it a bug in MSFS?

Hi, is there the possibility to copy the device settings file (Saitek Pro Flight, Thrustmaster Airbus)? Having a secondary PC available I wanted to install the sim and copy the settings file, if possible, from the primary PC. If possible, where can I find the settings file? I use the Steam version. Has anyone noticed what appears, to me at least, to be the inverse proportion, in so many cases, between the length and intensity of a hype campaign and the quality of the sim or addon upon release? It seems to indicate an over-allocation of money and of time to advertising rather than to Quality Control. (As just one example, the release of the Aerosoft Twin Otter and the long list of fixes a week later suggests a question: If they could fix all of that in a week, why couldn't they fix it all before release.)

So, I just bought the Kodiak today and it’s great! This is all default without any mods, by the way. I had been reading all the threads on it and for my first flight I set the elevator trim forward 45 degrees and the right rudder trim about 1/4 to the right. Took off and had to actually use left rudder to keep the plane aligned and once airborne it was completely uncoordinated requiring lots of left rudder to keep it from slipping. Due to not having rudder trim set on my yoke and a weird view point I went heads down to remove the rudder trim and lost control and crashed. Not due to the rudder trim but me not paying attention. Hello, everyone, I am flying the asobo a320 in msfs, but for some reason, I can't go over 200 knots without activating "overspeed" warnings, and I can barely go over 200 knots at all. Anyone know how I can fix this?

I am having problems with the default airbus-320 not climbing after a while, or even descending as well. I have no problems with the other jets, 747, 787. etc. Here we go, I make a flight plan atc tells me to climb to 10,000, the plane climbs I have no problem here. Next for example atc, will tell me to climb to 22,000.. Npw the airbus stays just at 10,000 and refuses to climb. So, what, am I doing wrong here ?

Does anyone else that has KDEN from Flightbeam not get the ILS? I did a flight into KDEN on 16R in the FBW and the ILS was not showing in the cockpit nor was it picking it up. I had it tuned correctly as well. Is this an isolated instance or does anyone else have this as well as a fix? Thanks!

Used msfs 2020 last week. Ran great. No issues. Tried to use it again today, and said I needed a 126gb update. Basically the whole sim needs to be downloaded. Went to the folder where it is installed and there is only 8gb now in that folder when it used to be around 130gb. Checked apps in windows 10 setting and found it along with just 8gb again. Noticed I now have 408 gb available on my ssd where last week it was around 280gb. No doubt that msfs 2020 has removed itself from my drive. But why? Guess I have no choice but to do this huge update. Must be a Microsoft “feature” to not only force updates, but wipe out perfectly good installs. Anyone have any suggestions …

I just updated my FBW A320 and the ground handling is all of a sudden horrible. I make a slight turn and it urns into a U-turn. Anyone else having similar issue? Thanks, Dave

Hello How am I meant to find out weather conditions on airfields? I was landing at Popham and the nearest ATIS i could find was Fanrborough, so i tuned in and nothing happened. I am very much a noob so my process is probably wrong, but this seemed weird to not get anything at all even said or written on the comms tab. Thanks Paul

I'm really liking the Kodiak. And, as with any add-on I grow attached to, I want my control setup to be perfect. I have one issue that's really bugging me. Would someone offer a suggestion as to how to setup reverse thrust/beta range on a HOTAS Warthog throttle? Here's what I've tried: Map a button to 'Toggle Reverse Thrust' - does nothing. Mapped cut-off detent button to 'Toggle Reverse Thrust' -- does nothing. Use the ol' hold down F2 -- this works, in that it pegs reverse thrust. Thanks for any insights and advice you could offer.

As of today I no longer have a variety of AI traffic. I am using AIGTech AI traffic and in my FS2020's Traffic AI Offline is set. I used to have a lot of different airliners active during my flights, but now only two of them are to be seen. Easyjet and Lufthansa. Changing the value(s) in the Ground Aircraft Density setting does not result in the number of different AI airliners visible. FYI, I do only use the FBW A32NX for my flights. What can be the problem here? Thanks for any help.

In P3d a "new" view can be undocked and moved to another monitor. Is there a way to do something similar in MSFS 2020, or payware or free software available that will accomplish this? Thanks for any suggestions. Martin

Mandatory update took about 24 hrs to download. Everything in my Community Folder doesnt seem to work. So....I create a empty Community folder and replacing everything one by one. First thing I cant even do if to get a livery to even show up in FS2020 to start. First thing I did was to have the FBW Installer download the development plane. This is the only thing in the community folder. Then I download the American Airline Livery from my previous download from Flightsim.to. I can not find it anywhere in FS2020. Its not in my hanger either. Just the original liveries that come with the Sim.

I wonder if anyone can help me with this, as I have not yet had a reply from my support request with the dev and it maybe a simple fix. For some reason, after installing EGHP Popham, I find there is either the default fire truck or the passenger transit coach that are normally seen at larger airports driving up and down along the side of the runway. Has anyone else experienced this, or who can offer some help, thanks. EDIT: I've just started another flight here and I am now seeing police cars!

Before I add anything, MSFS has been pretty much flawless for me for the type of flying I do. So, this is the first major problem I have and it started after the latest patch. Since it does not look like anybody has reported this, I have to assume the problem is something in my PC or settings somewhere, but I have no idea what it could be. So, my problem is, I can no longer fly since the main cockpit view/camera keeps moving down and it does not stop. Resetting the view brings it back to normal, but it moves down again.
