Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi I have been using the Baron and King Air aircraft for many months now and always use my Honeycomb yoke and throttle hardware to start these aircraft from cold/dark. However, now, the plane initially starts ok, but when I switch the magneto switch back to both the engines stop. I have tried various things to remedy this ie following the check list, but to no avail. If I start the fight at the runway the engines run perfectly. getting a bit frustrated with this, so would appreciate any help.

Updated with the latest then went install AUS and it crapped out and now stuck at checking for updates (steam) Uninstalled reinstalled crapped out again, stuck at chekcing for updates....THANKS!!!! Tried all the recommended fixes, nothing works............................God why did I leave XPLANE????????????????

Hi all, So, I'm back into the flying addiction, 73 on the horizon, and now trying the 748 salty. First of all, word not allowed, for a freeware aircraft, simbiref integration, working NAT track flying, hmmhmm. I took off from JFK this morning, but I was a little underwhelmed by the night lighting on the ground. Microsoft Flight Simulator - 1.21.18.0 31-1-2022 09_29_11 by Victor Roos, on Flickr I find it, well, very P3D looking to be honest. I thought the lights go further than this? (also my plane is almost invisible in the darkness?..) Am I just stupid or? cheers Vic

Anything new on weather stability from Asobo? I have been using Rex Weather Force when MSFS weather seem to not be working. It works for now, but would love consistency from MSFS on weather. Duane

Not getting much help from Flightbeam, so I'm asking here. Ever since having to re-install post SU7 beta patch fiasco, I am having issues of scenery conflicts between Asobo's and Flightbeam's DEN. The premium deluxe KDEN from Asobo is not in the Content Manager or in the fs-base directory so there's nothing to uninstall really, but I am still having a conflicts. Flightbeam's version is from the Marketplace. Is there any chance to see which scenery is loading and from which directory into the main simulator? Not really sure how to troubleshoot this and would appreciate any pointers. Thanks. 🙂

Here is Beauvoir airport created by MaxGG60. The Beauvoir-Fromentine aerodrome is a platform for restricted use which also hosts a heliport which operates the Ile d'Yeu-Fromentine link. LFFO has a grass runway of 630m x 20. The platform is home to the Beauvoir flying club and the OYA helicopter company. What happens to the "orbx-landmarks-XXXXX-city-pack" after the update, are they gonna break things...

I've been getting my approach charts for ILS and RNav from Sky Vector. I just tried to get Sydney and Melborne and they are not shown. Where can I get these charts? Roy

Hi , So does the ORBX Payware Scenery "ORBX-cityscape-sydney" still work after this update or do i have to put it out of the community folder ? Anyone knows ? cheers 😉

Have you folks see that Bijan has a new release of his 4 season pack in which he says one good thing and one bad thing? The good thing is that it can now automatically change the landscape without needing to do it manually. But he says it won't work with Addons Linker. I thought that was a deal ender but now that I think about it more I am guessing it just means you have to put it directly in the community folder like FSUIPC. Does that seem right? Anyone tried it yet with automatic changes?

My Sunday morning flight. Kelly Field over San Antonio CBD and then on to San Antonio International. I could not see the Riverwalk though. Maybe that was just me. Where did you lot fly to this morning?

Just curious, thinking about dabbling in the world of helicopters and got to thinking, is it possible to land on buildings using a helicopter?

Recently I start getting the message "Press any button to start" when I launch MSFS. It then takes me to an x-box screen (I am running a MS store version of MSFS) where I log in but that returns me to the "Press any button to start" screen and I am stuck in a loop. The only way around this is to reboot the PC and hope for the best next time around. Very annoying. What can I do to get around this.

Hello, there is only one thing that puzzles me, why only PMDG constantly complains about problems, when, for example, Fenix team and its A320 informs us in subsequent updates and there is not a single word that something does not suit them, that Asobo is to blame, etc. etc., more! how will you see on their discord video - they even managed to handle the windshield wipers and the rain themselves !!! .... can someone explain it to me? 🙂 🙂 btw - Fenix a320 - will blow away all and any A320 sim on any platform to date..

I am using the REX weather engine and I was curious if anyone else using it has noticed the clouds are smoother than Live weather? I did a number of test last night and I know think I am seeing things. Not sure how I missed this but I have 100hz monitor 32" running scaling to 100 @ 3840 x 2160 on an older GTX 1080. Its like a new simulator. It has never been this smooth, all of the micro stutters are gone even it turns. I cannot believe the difference, simply amazing. The frames hold at 33.3. Spent a little time in the two Savages today. I had forgotten how much fun it is to explore the mountains with two incredible mods. A smile-factor of ear to ear. 👍 Then I stupidly tried my hand the the Volocopter again, secretly hoping Asobo had injected a much-needed patch in the months that had passed since first flight/disappointed and today. Well ... no. ... 2 + 2 = why not a GotVolocopter mod? 😁 Come on @GotGravel guys! Think of the possibilities! 🦾

I'm not able to find the JMB VL-3 barometer adjustment. Of course, I know I can press the B key...but I would like to know if there is a way to adjust the barometer. I'm currently using the Virago addon along with the Working Title GX 0.1.0-dev10 version. Anyone know if there is a way to adjust the barometer without pressing the B key?

I've noticed the distant popups are pretty noticeable when at cruise altitude. Is this just an issue with the mod or is there a way to resolve it? The default Bing doesn't do that, correct?

Welcome to Southwestern Colorado! Coming soon to MSFS is my first airport project Pagosa Springs Stevens Field (KPSO). I have been working on this project for quite some time and it is finally in a finished state for release! Stevens Field is a GA airport located in Pagosa Springs, CO and is not far from the highly detailed Telluride Airport in MSFS. Need a little help on this with the upcoming world update Jan 31st, in reference to the community folder and specifically addon scenery such as KIAD, CYVR, KFLL {Ronald Reagan, Vancouver, Ft Lauderdale] How do u handle this, or whats the best way.

Hello: Yes, I have tried and tried to find the answer to my question! Is there a key command that will duplicate the old "S" view command in FSX and cycle between three or four views and return to the standard cockpit view? I suspect there is, I just can't find it!
