  1. The dev has clarified in replied to a question I asked about an upgrade path that "loyalty benefits" does mean a discount.
  2. It’s an interesting looking helicopter but not knowing whether there’ll be an upgrade path to the ‘24 version makes it a difficult purchase to justify right now
  3. Modelling ground returns completely changes the capabilities of a weather radar and how you need to interact with it in flight. Getting to see this with the X-Plane implementation was a revelation. This also has the related question of whether the horizontal mode will still just display a slice through the weather at the chosen tilt or models a beam spreading out from your plane with things like limitations on what you can see close to you and shadowing caused by high terrain or heavy precipitation or rain at low levels being indistinguishable from ground clutter when at high altitude. This is a slideshow that goes into what a pilot needs to know about how weather radar works and how to interpret what it's telling you https://www.airpilots.org/ruth-documents/study-papers/Weather Radar.pdf (In short it's not the infallible all-seeing eye that MSFS has tended to present it as so far)
  4. I In the Cub I believe the Chocks ARE the wheelbrakes
  5. Great suggestion and I think the Drifter and Winjeel deserve a place in everyone's hangar as well. I hope we'll get to see MSFS versions of Ant's T-28 Trojan trainers as well thought I haven't seen any news from him since Jan last year.
  6. Sorry, I should have been clearer - it's the DH.106 the dev is building, specifically the Comet 4 (and I have asked if we can get an Nimrod version as well)
  7. It's the devs only product at the moment, but they are currently working on a de Havilland Comet (quite a step up in complexity)
  8. The updated Maddog MD-80 maybe ? The original version was just too expensive in my opinion but the new version with the additional variants included is a much more reasonable prospect.
  9. Presumably that just a foveated view setup that's fixed to the centre of the display rather than tracking the eyeline ?
  10. When compared to the systems depth of the X-Plane A300 ini made the MSFS version comes off extremely poorly
  11. For the A310 at least it may be because MS were hiring them on what was presumably a fixed price contract so they simply had a hard limit of how much time they could spend and still make a profit.
  12. I'm afraid that in the vast majority of cases where someone claims to have been banned for no reason and I have looked back at their posts, it's extremely clear that they were banned for a good reason. Secondly you have to remember that all internet forums (including this one) are someone else's private space and they DON'T have to let you use it*. They make the rules and if you don't like them you can go find or even make a place with rules you do like. * Absent a very weird situation with some kind of actual contract
  13. Whatever update come along in the Early Access program. As for it not being a solution, that's not true as boycots do work and that's good as it's literally your only weapon.
  14. The solution is not to buy it then. If you don't like what's being offered then wait till either it's updated to suit your needs/wants or something better come along to spend your money on.
  15. Indeed, as I say I don't know anything about this specific case, though I do have to note that in the history of flight simming not hearing anything for years at a time, let along months is hardly unusual
