  1. Unless it's absolutely necessary don't buy from the Market Place. Buy from developer or favoured dealer. In my case Just Flight. They send you notification of updates etc.(I'm no relation)
  2. Plus all the add-ons you'll use once and never again! 🤣
  3. But, but, if it costs more it MUST be better, right? Kidding. Standard, all day.
  4. Farlis means well. 😊 Just let the sim assign what it thinks your PC can handle. Then, over the course of the next 'who knows how long' turn various settings up from low to medium, see what it looks like, and so on. When you find a setting that causes you trouble, turn it back down. Don't turn on the FPS counter. It will rule your life and cause you more angst than you knew existed. Use your eyes. What will follow now is a series of 'Best settings' but bear in mind they are only the best settings for that particular person Good luck. EDIT: The sim has a tendency to underestimate what your PC car cope with, so don't be too shy with the settings.
  5. You got it. Come down hard, show it who's boss. 😎
  6. I have always had PG on without a thought. Reading this thread made me turn it off. Yeugh! Shades of P3D! Turned it back on again before I threw up. 😛
  7. 😆🤣😂 I've fought with the bloody controls from day one of 2020 and to a greater extent 2024. I use FSUIPC, always have, always will. I now have MSFS profiles set to 'None'. So every controller has a None. The trouble is when a new aircraft is introduced it 'helpfully' assigns controls. I then select None for all three elements and MSFS remembers it. A PITA but we have eventually come to an understanding. Having said that, the system falls down on the odd occasion and has to be taught a lesson.
  8. I've just done a flight from Astoria to Bowerman. I always liked Bowerman in the olden days but new one is outstanding! This maybe my overactive imagination but you can smell the atmosphere. I think I'll go and have a lie down. 😃
  9. You know, things you have on a controller that you press and stuff happens. You can have switches too. I use FSUIPC to assign a job to whichever button I choose to do whatever job I want it to do. In this instance it assigning WASD to four positions on a spare hatswitch.
  10. I did say that using the keyboard works immediately. But I'm not in the habit of using the keyboard as a 'go to'. I didn't know about the spacebar though. 👍 The buttons assigned to WASD don't work until I enter/exit. As for not giving it enough time. Would seven minutes qualify as 'enough time'? Yes I timed it, then gave up.
  11. Sorted. Kinda. Walkies are OK if you use the keyboard first. Which I don't. FSUIPC handles the keystrokes but Assobo insists on its keystrokes being in charge until they say it's OK for FSUIPC to take over. Oy vey! Case closed.
  12. At least something has come out of this thread and that that there is something amiss. Thanks everyone for clearing that up. I shall now go on a mission to sort it out. I'm going in! 😛
  13. Ryan! Just when I started to accept this nonsense. you start me off again!
  14. Back from a test. Unfortunately no amount of time makes any difference. It's probably something to do with a controls conflict. Is there a 'throwing in the towel' emoji? 🤣
  15. Ahah! That's exactly what I mean. OK mate, I can live with that now. 👍
