Is there an app available to edit MSFS airport COM frequencies? I have been compiling at this time a short list of ATIS frequencies in MSFS that are either errors or not up to date with frequencies published by FAA and Jep. I believe most are just errors. An example is KHUF, Terre Haute, Indiana. The real ATIS frequency in use is 127.50 and has been for years. I verified 127.50 with the airport today. MSFS is using 124.75. It may be that it is doubled up with another nearby airport as tuning 124.75 finds ATIS broadcasts alternating for two airports. If that is the case the other airport is a much smaller one. Can anyone explain why my GPU temps go from about 33C to the mid-60's when the sim has only opened as far as the main menu? There are basically no animations even running yet.

So I am loving the Kodiak bush flights in PNG. I've dowloaded all the airstrips I can find on .to. I take off from the departure heading for scenic journey and then to the destination airport. Since many of these air strips are tiny little mountain cutouts, I use OBS to land on them. My landing procedure is as follows: Getting near the landing strip. Set the OBS magenta line to the runway heading. I may need to do a flyover first to see the landing strip and ideal approach through a valley as PNG is mountainous. I run offline but MSFS will still load my XBOX profile when starting. What I discovered is that the XBOX app and MSFS will only be able to load my profile once until I restart / relog into Windows. IOW loading MSFS a second time won't work. Hope this helps when you get stuck starting MSFS. ns

Since SU5 we've been having 'Disconnection' issue reported in the sim no matter what kind of connection we have. I've notice now with VR it's worse. If there's a load on the sim with add-on scenery for a particular area of major weather the sim throws a disconnection notification restricting your ability to control the aircraft until you acknowledge the notification. Sparse areas in the sim aren't affected. I have a dedicated line to my router via a network cable and it's solid as a rock concerning upload/download speeds. hi all, So, i recently saw in the a320 the hoppie acars thingy. I remember seeing it earlier somewhere on some aircraft, I don't remember where. Is it actually growing that much it is used instead of voice ATC? And if so, how do I use it? Very open question, I understand, but who knows ;). cheers Victor

As the subject says, yesterday everything was working as it always had. Right click mouse to pan around the cockpit and in external view. Today, without having changed any settings, the pan in cockpit doesn't work, but it DOES work in external view. Possibly related, my stream deck buttons have no effect today as well. If I use ctrl-alt and a number to try to re-set the views for the stream deck, the view shifts downward to the instrument panel and the pan starts to work. If I then press a button on the stream deck, the view shifts back to the pilot view, but everything starts to jitter up and down, causing the aircraft to actually move around with it. Enjoying the WU Australia so much, but gosh it would be good to pull the trees back to realistic size. Is there currently any way to do so with the Microsoft install? What's the latest please?

Walking my dog this morning and the nearby GA airport was in full training mode with engines coming to life, helicopters passing and even a business jet taking off. It was quite noisy. Back in FS 2002 days a company made an add on that let you place sounds around an airfield. I remember plonking bird sounds at one end, railway crossing bells at another, and engine noises galore. I cannot think of the software name but does anyone know of something similar for MSFS. ?

Hi, I hope this has not been coverd yet but do we know how future updates to satellite images wil be incorporated into MSFS? Google updates their pictures, depending on locaton, about once a year. I don't know how frequently Microsoft does this. But will they then need to release an update to the world updates or can they just inject the new imagery and AI does the rest? Thanks for any insight to the matter.

As the title says, I'm thinking of moving my Steam version FS to a larger SSD drive. My son just upgraded my M/B and processor, ( some AMD thing) and added a 2 TB ssd drive. All seems to work well but, certain items just will not install. They show up in the Community folder or in my Mod Storage folder for Addon Linker, but just will not show up on the game. So far one freeware and one payware aircraft won't show, (H-135 and Trinidad TB21 and a payware airport for KRFD. These show up in the Community folder and/ or the Mod Storage. I know this may cause a conflict, but they don't show either way. I have noticed a Community folder in each drive (have 3) so maybe it'…

I keep reading about how beneficial the NIS Scaler can be. I have installed it and tried it, but I must not understand the concept for setting it up to my advantage, because I can't see any improvement. So, a few questions: 1. If I use Virtual Desktop for VR flying, can the NIS scaler be used? 2. Can someone either explain or point me to a thorough explanation somewhere else regarding how to set things up across the board to get the advantage of this tool? I was just thinking about how when MFS was released, it was summer all the time. I don't have anything special downloaded, but where I am now is covered in snow (both reality and in the sim.) While I don't expect it to ever be perfect, it looks so much better than how it was originally. Well done and kudos to the devs!

Hi all, does anybody know how to get the sim to use Runway 27 with real weather enabled more often? It seems like it's always preferring Runway 9. Grown-up in San Diego runway 27 is always used more often since the winds are coming from the West

I have installed the latest update (Australia) without problems but when I go to the Store it not only does not allow me to buy no products but not even download free scenarios like Australia. The "Get and Download" and "Get" boxes do not highlight and nothing happens if I click on them. On the other hand, on "Content Manager" the scenarios shown can be downloaded normally. I tried to start MFS2020 either by clicking on the icon or by Administrator but nothing changes.

I purchased the DVD install Premium Deluxe package of FS 2020. Looking at the requirements I saw that the disk space required was well within the spare 250GB SSD I have. The SSD was clean and accepted the installation from the DVD;s perfectly. When I ran FS it went to the "check for update" screen and eventually told me that I needed a further 116 GB of disk space to do the updates. The SSD by this time only had 109GB free space. As I could proceed no further I chose to put the updates on another drive in my PC. What I don't know is whether the 116GB requirement was only for installing the updates and then the actual requirement after installation is much lower ? Ca…

We all know that two of the main differences ( yes, there are many more, ...but) between a flight sim and a real plane are the lack of feedback on the joystick and on the back of the seat of our pants. To his end, would't be useful to have two new instruments on the simulated cockpit? One visualizing the xyz components of the instantaneus g and the other the forward/backward and left/right stick pressure ? Is it possible that nobody already thought about this or I am missing something and/or I am too naive?

Hello everybody I noticed a problem with the FBW A320 (development version). I can reproduce it quite often, but unfortunately not all the time, it's still quite random, but when I'm on the ground if I do a status ECAM so that I press SYST, CLR then I press SYST again very often MSFS crashes and it's back to the desktop. When I trim the rudder or aileron in the P51 that came with the Renno Air Races tittle I find it rather slow to respond to the button presses I have assigned in the controller configuration menu. I believe the most straightforward way to adjust it would be to edit the "trim_sensitivity" entries in one of the aircraft CFGs, but I wonder if there's a better way to do it in MFS ? I hope one day they end up implementing the kind of trim effects I have in IL-2 or even XP11, where we have different types of trim mechanisms, ranging from pure trim tabs to stabilators or both, and where the tabs when displaced only affect the corresponding control surface as dynamic pre…
