Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

G-sync/Freesync screen, LG 27GL83A. All set to default in Nvidia Control Panel. Checking Vsync and 30fps (tried 60 as well). Screen still says 144hz and the fps is like there was not Vsync on at all. What could be wrong?

i use real time online traffic and there are like 3 planes parked at LAX. what gives?

I have been using MSFS 2020 since its launch and regularly updating with Asobo sim updates. I could update till SimUpdate 7 without any issue. Now, I am trying update with SimUpdate 8. I had hoped for a fix, but flying over Vancouver Island, I have a choice to fly with screwed up coastlines, or semi-regular stutters. Reported this to Zendesk after the last WU, when this started.. guess I need to report it one more time..

Hi Folks. I mainly fly vfr with the CIX VFR club but am trying to get my head around the PROCS of the G1000. Here's what I'm trying to do. I am currently in Lugano exploring the Italian lakes VFR. I decided to try a spot of IFR on my flight back to Lugano LSZA. I decided that the SRN6L arrival was good to try given my current position at the time. I then went DIRECT TO the SRN vor as it is the Initial fix for that arrival. I then intended to make use of the IGS 01 approach into runway 01. My problem is my lack of knowledge of the G1000. I could see the proper data blocks at the top of the PFD and was showing Direct to SRN in the MFD, however, I could not cancel the D…

Hi, After updating to SU8, all Speed Brake Arming has been disabled. I tried assigning it to: Toggle Spoilers, Toggle Arm Spoilers, Set Auto Spoilers Arming, and Arm Auto Spoilers, and none work! Under SU7, I had it assigned to: Set Auto Spoilers Arming, and it worked perfectly. Not After SU8 though. I've tried everything I know w/o any success. Anyone having the same issue or have any suggestions? I'm running the Bravo Throttle Quad & the TCA Boeing Quad. Thanks. Mario

Does someone know what I have to do so that it doesnt blink red all the time ? Its even blinking when giving very little throttle like 30%. I have the semi-official G1000nxi mod installed and its up to date, also no problem on other planes (well they dont have ft-lb anyway on the display).

I am a former simmer, the last version I used was '02 if memory serves me. I also obtained my PPL in '02 so sort of lost interest in simming. However, I stopped flying in '06 and after a long hiatus decided to re-enter simming. After beaucoup online research, I spec'd an XPS PC from Dell, a 32" curved monitor, and a CH Eclipse yoke off ebay. I've been enjoying the FBW A320 for some time, but I've found 2 issues I can´t solve yet: 1) Simulation rate: I can't go over 2x. How can I speed it up? Other planes allow me to go to 8x with no issues. That 2x issue, if unsolved, would be a no go for me. 2) Setting altitude, 100 ft. Looks like the altitude knob is locked at 1000. I can't set hundreds, only thousands. My workaround was just to set VS=0 when close to the desired altitude (or handfly and level up)... as if I were flying the DC-6! I can´t find any clickspot in MCP for this (as in the P3D Aerosoft buses). How can I select hundreds then? I went to Discord to search for both issues, but I couldn'…

Hi, I’m trying to configure the switches on my throttle quadrant. As soon as I try to validate my input such as the parking brake it freeze and i have to reload MSFS2020. I’m trying to do this foe the Cessna 152, 172. The nav button also wont work on the 172 g1000. As separate issue is the 172 non-g1000 is unflyable and the auto pilot will not turn off and the plane locks in a right hand roll even on the ground. Please can you help. Thank you.

I have just discovered that my TrackIR controls are no longer working in MSFS (latest version) and I can't remember how I set them up I have a full TM Warthog control Setup (Rudder Stick and Throttle) I want to Program Thrustmaster Joystick button 5 and 2 (in MSFS terms) to Pause the and re-center the device. I have had it working but somewhere along the line it has gone pear shaped . Can anyone offer advice or point me to another note that can help me setup my TrackIR to meet my needs. BTW I am just about to become an octogenarian so take it easy on me. Oh for the days of Bruce Artwick. Flightsims were so simple then but the excitement was palpable.

I posted about zoom level before and decided 80 was about right. I used an online FOV calculator to get XP11 correct and then set the zoom level in MSFS to match that. Not an exact science, but until MS decide to tell us what their zoom level actually means, it has to be approximated. I have been flying out of Compton Abbas in the UK for years in XP/P3d/FSX. In MSFS it looks great, especially with a mod available at FlightSim.to I have never actually been there because it is 200 miles from me, but we went just 3 miles away from it to a birthday party, so I went there.
