  1. Start ms2024 first and then start the FSTL injector and then it should find the path automatically. This same issue happens to me when I start FSTL first.
  2. Agree. The 737 is a good aircraft. It performs well and the cockpit looks great.
  3. I am thinking of getting the Boris sounds since the default are not great. I don't really mind not hearing the knobs and dials if that is the case. The click click sound of the dials in default sounds unrealistic as it is because it would be drowned out by the engines. Its the engine sounds that really matter. The rest is just not as important at least to me.
  4. I can't really help I am afraid but its great to see flight simming being available for all to enjoy. Hopefully someone here can help. Good luck and have fun.
  5. 2028 it will most likely be and I hope it is. Bring on the next evolution.
  6. Touchdown sounds being added gets my vote. Sometimes I land smoothly and can't tell if I landed:)
  7. In 2020 and before, I would fly anywhere regardless of real world weather/conditions and never deviate because of weather because it had no real impact on the plane. Its fine to fly through a dangerous storm. So I switched to 2024 a few weeks ago and I am flying into Kuala Lumpar in the PMDG 737. As I am turning towards final approach I see a big dark cloud in front with lightning and heavy rain coming out of it. Cool. I turn on the weather radar and it shows a blotch of red between my plane and the runway. Cool, weather radar works but its a gimmick because storm intensity never matters. As usual I'll just go right through the red spot since it won't have any real impact. When I enter the "red" my normal 700fpm descent turned into a 200fpm climb. What i have come to realise is called "cloud suck". My speed also increased 14kts. I had to do a missed approach because I could not stay on the glidescope or near it. Now what? I guess I'll wait for the storm cell to pass the final approach course but now I am very low on fuel. I only put in just enough for the destination because I never needed an alternative and have everything set up for the approach I am on. I ended up doing a very short final to avoid the cell. First time in 20 years of FS I've had to alter my plan because of weather.
  8. Wish FSTL would provide a 2k option. To do it yourself seems complicated.
  9. I bought it and other than the couple of annoying sounds its good. My go to plane. People keep comparing it to the Fenix but many of us don't own that because the FBW is good enough for our needs. People complain about the price but buy the plane anyway so the price was just right.
  10. I will pay up to £30 at a push. Any higher and I will skip it and try something new and different. It's mostly the same thing so not worth paying more than that for me. I think they can charge what they want though. They are a business and the demand is there.
  11. I switched over in the last couple of weeks as well but think the colours look more lifelike. Having been on a plane maybe a hundred times I would say it's more realistic in 2024 compared to 2020. In 2020 everything seemed more colourful and didn't reflect the harsh sunlight beating down on the ground like you see in real life. Slightly off topic I did my first night flight and the lighting is just incredible.
  12. I just switched to 2024 last week when I got a new PC. It may take time but the gap will continue to widen.
  13. There will be far more MSFS2024 users who will try out and want this than people who consider it pointless and stupid like yourself. Maybe 95% to 5% (if I had to guess). Therefore they made the right decision and I agree with you that for me it's pointless and I don't want it! If they catered solely to avsim users and what they need - the sim would have shutdown a year after MS2020 launched because sales would not match costs.
  14. What kind of PCs do you need? I just bought a 9800x3d 5070TI from Scan in the UK for £1900 (around $2500) and i am playing MSFS2024 maxed out at 4k. Works fine. No idea my framerate. I don't check because it is smooth. OK I am using default airports but I am flying the FBW A320 with FSTL instead of GA, which uses more resources, but if I need more frames it's easily achievable I think. For starters I am not using any tweaks. DLSS is on but i haven't touched anything else I have seen here mentioned like Frame Generation settings (FSR?)) mostly because I don't know what they do 🙂 If I need more frames I could also just set everything High instead of Ultra since you can't tell the difference anyway. If you are running a 3 monitor setup i can understand a better GC is needed otherwise you don't need $5k to run MSFS well. Half that is enough.
  15. It was. Running MS2024 maxed out at 4k and it looks and performs great. The new lighting in 2024 is out of this world. It makes a huge difference to how the world looks. I don't use third party airports and use the FBW A320 mostly, which is not particularly heavy, so it seems to handle what i have thrown at it so far.
