Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I noticed that the fallback for lack of models and paints is now onto FS Traffic and not AIG. Is that new and is AIG not considered now?

Is there a simple package to replace the default msfs ai models with correct real world types and liveries? Ive looked into aig but that seems to be more of just timetables not actual models, is that right? Im not concerned with adding more traffic just yet, just want what's already there to look decent.

Hey all, I've typically flown larger airlines ifr which didn't seem to benefit from head tracking, but recently I've been doing mainly low and slow VFR flying and I'm looking to keep doing it as I really enjoy it. I'm on a 27" 1440p monitor, and pretty close to it (1.8ft) so visually it works well for me - and is also great for other games so no plans to upgrade just yet. I was wondering if this setup would benefit from head tracking? I'm looking into Delanclip and TrackIR - and guessing they're a good buy for someone on a smaller screen? Is there any development in the works for general aviation AI traffic? Small airports (and many medium) haven't looked so empty since FS2000 when AI traffic hadn't been invented yet. The sim has a few non-descript GA AI models but I almost never see them (Live traffic is on). Even when using off-line traffic and a GA mod, they are scattered very thin and almost never parked. FSX was inferior in most ways to MSFS but its AI was MILES ahead. Not only did I have small privately owned Cessnas and Pipers scattered around the ramps of 95% of all airports, I also had the payware helicopter addon that added helos coming and going from many airports. I don't know what to do. Last night I was just configuring some controller settings and everything was working fine. Today when I try to open the sim, Steam starts up and then nothing, I don't even see the sim begin to come up. When it happened I tried without starting the addons linker so absolutely nothing in the Community folder. I don't know what to do. Any help?? Thanks.

Edit II Is released and available at the Aerosoft store. Edit III Well I bought it it’s very pretty and not so intuitive. I’ll let you know what I think after I figure it out and after my test run to SeaTac. Edit IV it’s not quite as sophisticated as it first appears once you figure it out it works as expected, flies nice and is quite easy on frames. One thing tho, it has a MAX Operation Speed of 122. I’m flying it right now from PDX to SEA be there in a couple of hours LoL

I am using the default Beech A/C twin, and the default settings for my CH Pro Pedals, are very erratic. Can somebody give me the base settings via the control sensitivity adjustments panel, as a baseline? The rudder not the brakes.. Do you experience this also with the default settings? Thanks!

I've tried for some time to reduce the sensitivity of my yoke, but wow, my Blackbird C10R is way too twitchy on pitch. Any suggestions for making the pitch less twitchy by adjusting a parameter in the flight_model.cfg or by some other means? No twitchy pitch in C414AW when I compare the two out of the box. I looked on the FSDT forum on this and couldn't find anything, plus I can't post on it because I can't login my password wasn't accepted and their routine for forgotten passwords doesn't work and I've even mssg'd Virtuali directly here to ask for help logging into their forum but haven't heard back yet so hopefully he will chime on this here. Thanks in advance if you do.... Anyway, installed the latest GSX presumably thru the Live Updater but still doesn't work: SimBrief says 149 PAX, GSX delivers one. Hitting the Reload Simbrief button didn't help either.

Is it like a shameless big fat hog eating PC resources like Denuvo, or is it ok and not a performance eater?

Thinking of getting this and have a few questions from those that use it. The two front edge paddles or triggers - can they be set individually in MSFS. one for right rudder and one for left rudder? The to front edge buttons (above the triggers) - can they also be set individually, one for right brake and one for left break. I ask because my older Xbox controller can do that and I need to make sure the newest ones can.

This is a Canada, British Columbia Addon, a bush strip, old logging camp area actually. In real life I used to flying this area. I just tried adding this scenery along with "windy things" library and it does not load well. My plane arrives to a departure point, upside down. Is this addon useless now, as it's quite old? Bryan

I got the custom KCLT scenery from the Marketplace because it's my home airport and I fly in and out of there a lot, but I've been running into an issue where I keep getting assigned maintenance pads or "gates" away from the terminals when arriving in airliners. Specifically, I keep getting assigned the "H" gates instead of a terminal by the MSFS ATC instead of a real gate and I don't know what's going on. It's not a tremendous deal, but having paid for the airport I'd like to at least cruise past the terminal once or twice and appreciate the work they put into it! Is there a way to basically "lock out" a set of gates for an airport so they're not assigned by the G…

Any recent experience with Skypark? I only fly GA. Usually, the DA62, TBM900, Hondajet, and CJ4. Would it allow me to fly those planes very early in my career?

I used this years ago with the Q400 ( I think), and started using it now in the 737. Really makes landings great.

I have a GTX coming from Jetline. Specs: Intel i9 13900KF, GTX 4090 24GB, 64GB of DDR5. I chose some higher specs for other activities (video/photo editing, et cetera). I know they optimize the system and I assume MSFS. Are there any add-ons I should make sure to install? I want AI traffic and it seems like FSLTL is mentioned the most, but others are good with FS Traffic?? I'm more concerned with current airline liveries and 737s not landing at regional airports.
