Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When MSFS (2020) first came out, I spent some time setting up my controls the way I wanted them. I have a CH Pro setup (Throttle, Fighterstick, and Pedals) which gives me enough buttons and switches to allow me to most of what I want to do without having to take my hands of the two main devices and use the keyboard or mouse. And in my case, that's mostly about camera views and just basic aircraft controls (up, down, left, right, brakes, trim, kind of stuff). I don't need fast access to any of the aircraft controls like ATC, AP etc as I never use that stuff. I purchased my PMDG 737-800 in MSFS 2020. As a result I got the upgrade deal for the 2024 737-800. Unfortunately, there are no liveries for the MSFS 2024 PMDG 737-800 available in Market Place. However, if you want liveries for your Marketplace purchased 737-800 in MSFS 2024, go to Marketplace, My Library and select PMDG 737-800, then select options and then select "download" as "opposed to "stream". The download is 3.77 GB. Once downloaded, close MSFS 2024. Then open the PMDG OC3. You will now see the 737-800 on the dashboard along with 84 liveries that are available for your 737-800. Select your liveries. Close OC3 and open MSFS 2024. Happy flying!!

Hello Gang! Today, I picked up a copy of RealTurb and a copy of ActiveSky FS to try with MSFS2024. ActiveSky installed and everything worked automatically. My question is.........are there any ASFS settings the super users recommend to use with MSFS2024? I noticed that with ASFS connected to FS2024 one of them is injecting the weather but not sure which. Clouds seem be coming from ASFS since they look a lot better than the default, but no idea. With RealTurb, how does it interact with FS2024 and ASFS? I could not find any setup instructions. Any insights or help is greatly appreciated.

The Constellation isn't really usable in 2024 because the VS wheel on the autopilot is frozen. I went to the discord and the developer says he's working on a 2024 port with improvements. I'm hoping to fly this aircraft in 2024 one day.

Hi All, I have been using in a variety of iterations for years. I would ocnsider myself knowledgeable to be at least dangerous. I just purchased the 737-800 form PDMG. At cold & dark, I set up the ground unit, import the flight plan from Simbrief, download the plan to the respective folders, ( dont think it is required ), do the IRS (instant), import the flight plan to the EAB< and then the FMC, enter in the departure and arrival. At this point with other PDMG aircraft (777 & 789), I see nav info available on the EFIS. With the 737-800 nothing appears, see pic attached I have tried everything I know, uninstalled (with revo uninstaller &…

Dear simmers, I have weird problem since yesterday. Until yesterday everything worked well. Problem is related to the brakes stuck and not releasing. I noticed that they get stuck in about 50% and the slider only works half way to the bottom. Why this happened all of a sudden out of nowhere? I have TPR rudder pedals. I re-calibrated them with windows and with TPR software. Small change, now the slider works but moves abruptly half way down in a 0-1 basis, slightest press on the brake, sets it to... 50%. Did anyone had something similar? It is MSFS related. I tried different sim and it worked fine there. Tom

Hi, I've been enjoying setting up 2024. I need a better PC but the performance seems much better than 2020. I set up my controls successfully on two planes, the A2A Comanche and A2A's Aerostar. I'm baffled by these menus that I've circled in red though. Can someone explain what they do and how they worK? It would be very much appreciated. Jack

Hi, was flying just fine with MSFS2024 then my internet went out. I shut down the sim, waited for the network to come back and for some reason when I laugh the sim, I get the XBox Game Studios logo, then a black screen. I have renamed my community folder thinking that could all of a sudden be the issue, but nope, same results when launching the sim. Anyone seen this before?

Hello! I’m just back to career mode. I use to have a key bound to one of the Set UTC bindings which worked in career mode to sync with the actual real time. I’ve tried to bind in SU4 career mode but it doesn’t seem to work anymore. Please could someone help with the correct binding to use? Thank you folks.

Not a very substantial post, but I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. 🎄 I don't think I've ever been as excited for a new year in flight sim ever. There is so much good stuff close to release that it's difficult to keep track of... like the Aerosoft A340-600, JustFlight Fokker 70/100, and the FSL/Fenix NEOs. Scenery-wise we're looking at major hubs like ATL (Orbx) and DFW (Ini) and also some smaller quality airports (Aerosoft Stuttgart, although this one is personal). Feel free to add to the list! Maybe there will be some other surprises, too. I feel like the biggest challenge will be to make judicious use of it all.

Just a heads-up - I added a few of my internal views as part of the "Cinematics" and CP will crash to desktop. Once I removed the same views and just kept the external views - the crash stopped. I have sent CP a ticket on this issue and expect will hear something soon.

I'm having a difficult time in starting 2020 it starts asking for safe or reg mode.. either way crashes on start up . Should I re-install or ? Thanks for looking Duffster

I haven't used Chaseplane since P3D about 10 years ago. Currently in MSFS 2024 i fly the Fenix and have some camera settings that I set up for my different views and have keyboard keys assigned to switch views. What are the benefits of Chaseplane these days? Is it worth the $ over what I currently use. What are the benefits? I don't do any streaming or anything outside of lying airliner routes. Thanks!

If TIR CTDs whilst in MSFS 2024, in Windows 10 there was a way to get FS to see TIR again, it was something like mouse emulation or such...know what I mean? Now I have W11. Google searches negative. Thanks!

(@1'25") My altitude and ground options are GREY and therefore inaccessible when I select the departure airport and waypoints. What should I adjust?

SU2 Beta 1.4.14.0 Windows 11 23H2 nVidia Driver 576.02 Today I couldn't install anything because my C drive (Win 11) was full - not a normal situation I discovered a new folder in ProgramData/nVidia/Streamline/FlightSimulator2024 - it is 19.6GB and contains 5,444 files. Each file is named sl-sha-68a19ax.dmp where x is an increasing number. Each file is about 6MB and appears to be a mini-dump analysis. The Streamline folder, sub-folders, and files were all created yesterday and I have never previously seen any such folder/files. I did suffer several CTDs and Freezes yesterday in FS2024 but did nothing to record or manage the errors. I've done a lot of …
