I posted this question in the //42 typical weather thread but I guess it got kinda lost there so I might just start its own topic on this as I never really quite understood what happens in these scenarios. I usually just put it to live weather and accept whatever it is but one reason I also don't tend to change the weather is when I fly with ATC, I use batc I'm not sure what would happen if I choose custom weather, whether it's an add-on or within the sim options itself. If this custom weather changes the wind directions/speed etc and subsequently also changes the active runways does an add-on like batc know that I am on custom weather or is that always going to bas…

Good morning/good evening everyone I have made the conscious decision to switch from MSFS 2020 to MSFS 2024 and it’s been great! From the visuals to the performance.. I have noticed that I need to either press ALT+ENTER or open chrome or any app so the sim is not the focus anymore.. the issue presents itself by hemorrhaging frames minute by minute. for example i get 100fps with frame gen and medium to high settings in Mkstudio’s CYUL and KSEA while just being parked in the PMDG 777 the frames drop incrementally.. 100fps then 99fps then 98fps then it keeps doing this until it reaches the mid 70s.. the whole thing unfolds in no less then 2 minutes and to g…

  3. We’re pleased to announce that the Airport Configuration Manager feature for FSHud – Air Traffic Control has been released to BETA. This initial part of the Airport Configuration Manager allows changing active runways and defining runway activation logic, enabling more realistic airport operations. It also includes import/export, making it easy to share configurations and keep backups. For a detailed walkthrough of the current functionality, please watch our tutorial: https://youtu.be/izHusIqK4kA

Yesterday I stumbled upon a twotonemurphy Live Stream on YouTube titled "DC-6 Mail Run, South Africa Hub", (MSFS 2024). As far as am I am aware, the DC-6 has not yet been released for MSFS 2024. Thus, I am wondering if anyone knows how he got the DC-6 into MSFS 2024, is he using a Beta perhaps? I hoped that info would come up in the Live Stream but I had difficulty with the accent & missed it if it did.🙂 Thank you T45

Hi, Is there something wrong with my system? AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB DDR5 (2x32GB) 6000MT/s, NVIDIA 24GB GeForce RTX 5090 driver 591.59. At the start, I get this blurry picture for about 15-20 seconds.

Oceano airport is a cozy little airport in a perfect slice of paradise. Located right next to the Pacific Ocean in the community of Oceano, California, Oceano Airport is the perfect landing spot for your general aircraft. The airport is near the beach, bordered on the north by Pismo State Beach, and on the south by the Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve. The Pacific Ocean coastline is less than a half-mile from the main ramp area. All airport buildings have been replaced: airport office and its pilot lounge, main entry gate and his numerous signs, fuel island, executive hangar, airport beacon, wind cone and segmented circle (WIP)… not to mention the famous campground. The …

  9. Using the FS2020 SDK, I have built a new airport at Sawmill Bay, NWT in Canada. This is the site of an abandoned airport built in 1943 to air-lift uranium ore from a local mine to the US for the Manhatten Project. The two runways are clearly visible in Google Earth, as are the roads, and the remains of the nearby airbase buildings. The facility was used for a few years after the war as a fishing and hunting camp, but this operation was abandoned by 1969 due to radioactive contamination in some of the buildings and the soil. So my problem is that Asobo/Microsoft supplied airplanes don't work with the ILS I put in, but the third-party planes I have (that have ILS cap…

Hey chaps, For those seeing the CB message on the ECAM in the A320, a note on Fenix discord said the following.. Sunday, 21 December 2025 11:28 am Hi, there is a known issue with users running chaseplane resulting in CBs being pulled in the A320. This is NOT a Fenix bug and we are unable to provide support for this - please refer to //42 for further information and a resolution, they are aware of the problem and are working towards a fix, thanks!

  11. Evening all, Whilst everyone is getting ready for the IniBuilds L‑1011 for MSFS, I thought it might be useful to start familiarising ourselves with TriStar systems and flows. I have installed liveries via the OC3 and they show installed but are missing in MSFS 2024? What am I missing? Is this a control thing again with PMDG. They are in the community folder. 13. Gillespie Field (ICAO:KSEE) is a county-owned public towered airport, 12 miles northeast downtown San Diego and the beach in California. The airport is mostly used for general aviation, with 3 runways. Gillespie is the home of San Diego Air & Space Museum Annex, the ASTREA (the air support unit of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department) and a dozen of other businesses and flight clubs/schools like my club Plus One Flyers. Free to download : https://flightsim.to/file/36679/gillespie-field-ksee As for all of my MSFS mod, this small scenery is made from a pilot-eyes perspective. In real, I'm a Plus One Flyers member and mostly fly from Montgomery Field but G…

....than a bottle of warm lube running down a Las Vegas word not allowed word not allowed word most definitely not allowed. Did a flight today from Madrid to Malmö, Sweden; both payware airports. Smooth (30 fps) from takeoff to touchdown, no stutters, no stutters on descent and landing, rock solid all the way. Terrain looked the way it's supposed to look in Europe during the approaching winter. This is on a 2K monitor at 1440p, settings to medium/high, with various external programs running (FSHud, FSTL, Active Sky passive mode, REX Atmos), on a 3060ti. Plane was FlightFX's Citation X. Drastic performance improvment compared to MSFS 2020.

  16. Hello all, Does anyone by chance have improved afcad files that allow the AI traffic (with beyondatc traffic injection) to work properly for the above? Both are for MSFS 2020. Many thanks in advance. Jermaine

Hi folks. Generally, I fly in VR so I don't often think about the lights on the Honeycomb Bravo. Because my Quest 3 is in the process of being replaced, I have started flying in 2D. I recently noticed I had no lights on the Bravo. So, I downloaded and installed the latest driver from Honeycomb. Now I have lights, however, I cannot get a couple of them to go off no matter what I do. I am sitting on the runway in a C172 G1000, ready to take off. However, the Low Oil Pressure, Low Fuel Pressure, and Anti Ice lights are on. I don't know how to get them to respond properly. Even if I turn on Anti-Ice and Windshield De-Ice in the sim the Anti-Ice light does not g…

I just purchased two 3rd party airport scenery packages and can't get them to install in MSFS2024. The instructions said to unzip the file and move the layout.json and manifest.json files into the community folder. I did that but the only scenery that shows up when starting the sim is the default scenery. I watched a YouTube video by EzRyder, but had the same results when I followed the steps. I purchased a couple of airports from Orbx and they installed fine using Orbx Central. Since I haven't seen any other posts on this, it has to be something I'm doing wrong. The developers said that although the scenery was developed for 2020, other users have said they work in 2024…

I'm using a Thrustmaster stick with built-in slider for throttle. It works fine with planes, but for some reason, it's acting weird with the Joby. No matter where I position the slider, it snaps back to the middle by itself. As far as I can tell, I don't have the throttle slider bound to any other controls. Anyone else run into this issue? I saw a post about it on Facebook, but there were no responses.

  22. The Banning Municipal Airport is a city-owned airport located about a mile southeast of Banning, in Riverside County, California. It’s a single asphalt runway that can accommodate various aircraft, including private single-engine planes and corporate jets. Free to download at https://flightsim.to/file/75708/kbng-banning-municipal-airport The airport is located between the Los Angeles bassin and 10 miles west of Palm Springs international airport. There’re some hangars, a fuel island and a small FBO. During the summer season, it hosts firefighting various aircraft despite being close to Hemet. Remarks: Unfortunately, the city of Banning has began phasing it out w…

  24. As per title, I had to relocate my AIG OCI folder on another drive, however I am not able to setup AIM to the new path, it closes down after I click on the "Remove" button to swap the OCI path. Naturally I made a post on the AIG forum and even sent my files, but Kaiii and his colleagues must be terribly busy. So I try my luck here in the hope that someone has gone through that successfully and can help. Thanks.
