Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I tried just now to get 2024. I'm enclosing some screenshots. I'm completely baffled. I was told by someone here to get a $1.00 game pass, so I did but it tells me 2024 isn't available on my plan. Do I have to buy it outright? I joined and now I'll be paying $9.99 a month for something I can't even download per my plan. I have no idea what I'm doing so maybe someone could help me figure out how I can get 2024. I bought Verticalsim KGSP Greenville-Spartanburg from the MSFS 2024 Marketplace tonight. In the sim, all buildings on the airfield are missing and there are pink (missing textures) vehicles everywhere. It has all the hallmarks of a product being completely incompatible with MSFS 2024 - despite being sold from the 2024 Marketplace. It is an unusable mess and, being from the Marketplace, no chance of a refund. Has anyone else bought this airport on the 2024 Marketplace and does it work for you?

Hello simmers! I have just finished San Diego Gillespie (KSEE), installed the Beta SU10 and finally wanted to start another airport freeware project with my amateur skills. I choose KOKB Oceanside Municipal in South California, up north San Diego. It's a very small field which won't take me too long to enhance with my skills and the philosophy of my previous projects: from a pilot's perspective, with default MSFS buildings and object, limited handmade texture, based on real data but compatible with MSFS existing content. As soon as you apply just the slightest left or right input while taxiing, the airplane sounds like a 20t snow plow on hard ground. Any way to edit the sound file? In previous versions, you could just pick the right sound file, edit it using Gold Wave to volume=0 and you were good. Seems like the 2024 version of the PMDG737 has got just a single audio file? Any tips on how to edit it is much appreciated!

Are you please aware of any add-on that would show the value of actual Elevator Trim setting somewhere in FS2024 while in flight? I am myself aware of 2 ways, but they are far from perfect: the default FS2024 HUD overlay - The disadvantage is it shows too much info even in the compact mode. It spoils realism. I wish to see just the trim setting. the FS HUD bar - an app I found on flghtsim.to - It does exactly as I need, but in my case it is really resource hungry: From 110fps to 65 fps. Any other options please? The default HUD would be perfect, if only we would be able to choose what to show and what not to show (e.g. many people hate the map...)

Hello, so I hadn’t flown in a few days and installed the latest gsx update version and now I’m getting a crash to desktop while at the gate. i have over 1300 hours in msfs 2020 and have literally never had a crash to desktop during sim. any help?

Just spent the last few days upgrading to FS2024 from FS2020. Just tried to do my first flight and im faced with very poor performance. FPS on the ground is not bad. 40-60 unless I panned the camera. In-flight, however, the sim tuned into a total slide show. Saw FPS as low as 8. Never had any problems in 2020 with this system. Any help appreciated. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5

I installed the Kodiak when I installed msfs2024, but there wasn't any issues with it and at some point I started flight with it so I could set-up the controls. So this morning, I saw there was an update for it, so I installed it with no issues. I decided to fly it this afternoon and when I clicked the Ready to Fly button, I was greeted with a fuselage skeleton and no wings, so I closed the sim, restated pc and tried again to make a flight and got the same thing. Then I uninstalled it from Marketplace option. Now when I download and install, the installation fails. Any suggestions on the next step? Thanks!

So I'm flying commercially for the first time in MSFS2024 and it doesn't matter if I'm at a default airport or an add-on, I get all of this manufacturer-livery static aircraft (see pics). What's weird is that all the static aircraft are all the same models. In the case of this picture, it's A320s, but they could be 777s or A350s or even Cessnas! Any suggestions? I have AI Traffic off, and all advanced settings set on "low". I run AI Traffic through BATC which works fine and "double-stacks" their AI planes on top of these static ones.

Just doing my first flight with MSFS 2024 - Fenix, EGBBv2, PSXT, AIG - pretty much the same set-up I used with MSFS 2020 for 3 years. TLAA, no FG, Rate Limiter set to 60 in the sim. All started very well with strong FPS 60 vs 60. I also ran AutoFPS to limit TLOD to 100 on the ground. Then all hell broke loose - FPS started to drop fast down to 20 (I exited sim at this point), GPU load dropped from almost 100% to 45%, and RAM increased to 90%. CPU has been stable at 15-30%. Any ideas what might went wrong? Thanks!

Hi all, I bought the Inibuilds A300-600 Premium this evening. It's basically a 'native' 2024 version of the older A300-600 for MSFS2020. As I always do with a new complex airliner, I reduced some settings, turned off photogrammetry and loaded the PW freighter version of the aircraft at my test airport; DAAG in Algeria (very basic default airport with very basic scenery around it - great for tests). Clear weather. Hey everyone, I successfully used the map enhancement app (from flightsim.to) in MSFS 2024 and I know there are two versions, one for 2020 and one for 2024. I can't find the version for 2024 anywhere(!)...anyone point me in the right direction please?

MFS2024. Tried to make the PAP3 work with 789 but no success. Downloaded Horizon 789 Mobiflight profile. Opened it in Mobiflight. Pressed RUN. On the FCU the lighs are on, the displays are blank but one indicates MOBI. It means that Mobiflight sees the device. But it does not work in the aircraft... Would apreciate any help.

I decided to reinstall MSFS2024 after a couple of minor issues to do with display anomalies on the Controls config page. Apart from these quite minor matters the sim worked fine always loading very quickly but when I restarted the sim after the reinstall the loading process became very slow at 89% and stopped entirely at 97%. Repeated reinstalls didn't help plus I have tried all the many fixes I could find online but got nowhere the problem persists. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you Bruce

Hi all, Finally I bit the bullet and uninstalled FS2020 en installed FS2024. Currently I'm in the process of installing my add-ons and configuring the sim. Questions: For FS2020 and my RTX4090, I used the 566.36 drivers. What are currently the preferred drives for FS2024? In FS2020 I used the Lossless Scaling application (external app). Should I keep using that for FS2024, or is in game DLSS/FSR a better option?
