Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Does anyone know a way to get MSFS to acknowledge TrackIR is actually running again after the TrackIR software has crashed? I just had it ruin my first flight in my shiny new 737. It doesn't crash often. It's rare. In fact, I think this was only the second time but when I have to restart TrackIR then MSFS no longer acknowledges it's running and it no longer works in the sim. The only way to get it to work as far as I can tell is to restart the sim. So does anyone know of a way to get it working again without me having to bin my flight?

I'm very much having mixed results with this. I've got parked traffic slider set to 7, arrival and departures set to 9. At times, it's awesome, most of the time, not so much. Yesterday at KSEA at 8AM local, 3/4 of the gates were full and I was number 5 for takeoff. Pretty realistic except that during the 30 minutes I was on the ground loading, I think at most, 3 aircraft landed (including a Cessa 172, first time I've seen GA aircraft). The day before, at KLGA, again 8AM local, maybe 1/4 of the gates were filled and in the 30 minutes I was on the ground, not a single aircraft departed or arrived. I have a new Win11 install and MSFS 2024 install. When using CP with PMDG737 the screen freezes after about 10 of sitting on the runway. And of course it does not do it every time and I realize it is experimental but wanted to compare notes. Fenix does not seem to freeze at least not yet.

I recently bought the 2024 version of it as it was on sale at £9. I alreadt have the 2020 version which was updated to fit in 2024. (With me so far?) However: I don't get the clipboard which I'm told by BlackBox support should be stowed in the left hand foot-well. It isn't! The clipboard lets you disable all the pesky walkaround clutter. Anyone else missing it?

As a precursor to my (in general) “try to buy nothing in 2026, because my wife and I already have TONS of EVERYTHING as we gathered things for donation, I’ve recently been enjoying all sorts of past (generally expensive) purchases that have now been updated for 2024. I don’t know if it was updated for 2024 or not, but the Milviz 310 seems fine to me once I located my purchase, and I just installed the JustFlight Warrior II that I somehow forgot I’d bought for 2020, and just enjoyed a circuit around Duxford in beautiful G-SIXT. Also the BAE-146, A2A Comanche, Leonardo MD-80, PMDG 737, even that TB-21. Not all of the upgrades were free, but even the paid ones…

So, for me for now at least, Asobo/MS internet not connecting for both versions this AM (EST). This typically happens after SU updates and heavy access day, such as holiday periods. I sure would like to know if anyone knows of a website that takes connectivity issue posts so that maybe we as a community can find out if it is indeed us (as Asobo consistently wants us to believe) or if its happening across the board. Something akin to the Website Down site but just for MSFS. I can't believe that after some 13 months that Asobo hasn't resolved this. Thanks in advance for your attention and responses.

I know this has most likely been discussed before and I've seen posts in the official MSFS 2024 forums (including my addition). There doesn't seem to be a "correct" FOV adjustment in MSFS 2024. Tried the WideViewAspect values and they don't correct anything (1 makes it worse). MSFS 2024: XPlane12 (with adjustable FOV): Just to be clear, ZOOM isn't the same as FOV. Zoom (focal length) = changes perspective making images large which does what you can see but is NOT field of view. I only have MSFS 2024 set up but want to have a folder to put my addons in so I can select / remove addons depending on what I need for each time I boot up MSFS 2024. I am wondering which folder I should add in the addons linker program for this, as there is now by default "Community" and "Community 2024" embedded in MSFS 2024. How do others set this up? Or should I be creating another folder? Thanks!

This evening I decided to fire up the FSS E175 after a fairly long pause of using it. I decided to really dig in and figure this plane out and decided that I should be able to adjust my payload and fuel quantity in the EFB. Problem is for whatever reason its not letting me or do or I even see an option to do so. In the FAQ on the FSS website it states below. How can I add weight & fuel? Hi!,im just wondering why in dev mode i get nice and stable FPS and a Green Mainthread unlimited but after passing lets say 20-30 second Mainthread begins to load Up and become on red my FPS drops 20-30 FPS less(not moving or touching anything in cockpit) but if i change my view to overhead or pedestal or pax wingviews It recovers again and when going to cockpit view the Mainthread is ok but after passing 30 seconds It becomes again to load Up Mainthread... I've sent a ticket to WinWing, but thought I may get a faster response here. I've just installed the PFP7 and everything looks correctly installed...the correct keys are being selected in the SimApp Pro app. However, I've loaded up the PMDG 777-200ER in MSFS2024 and the FMC just stays on the WINWING screen, it doesn't load up the FMC...how do I get it to do this?

It all started with my first upload of San Diego Montgomery-Field (KMYF), on January 8, 2021. I have just noticed that the hand crafted version of EGFF Cardiff in MSFS 2024 does not have a visible runway centreline. In addition, Porthkerry railway viaduct has disappeared. This was definitely there in MSFS 2020, and seemed to be part of the airport scenery. I really hope that this has not been removed because there is a PG version

In my recent flights especially during taxi I realized that some of my add-on airports barely show any service vehicles in action like moving cars, busses, luggage transporters etc. Except ai a/c the airports appear somehow lifeless without those moving vehicles. Both corresponding settings (quantity and variety) in MSFS 2024 are active (high-ultra). Examples: EGGL (inib.) no traffic, EDDF (aerosoft) traffic. EDDK (aerosoft) no traffic, EDDK (MSAsobo) traffic. Would installing GSX improve the situation?

I advanced my in-sim date to 25 December as we're not quite there yet in my time zone, and loaded up the GKS B-52H Stratofortress. Quite a nice Christmas surprise happened! Just wondering if anyone has found any Christmas...I guess you can't call them Easter Eggs....in their aircraft or scenery if the in-sim (or computer system) date is 25 December.

Hi, Any SI users seeing a completely broken, misrerable service this evening? I was receiving no replies to any radio calls, while on the ground at EGSH. So I took off anyway and contacted London Information for basic service. No replies. Then 5 minutes after making the first call, I get a response .... 5 minutes, to the minute. I then get 8 consecutive responses from ATC (all utterly irrelevent and out of context by this phase in the flight). Tried again.... no response .... 5 minutes later a response.
