Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am not very often praising MSFS 3rd party applications, but after installing and using Chaseplane for MSFS2024 I just had to do that. Using Chaseplane for MSFS2024 with a XBOX controller has totally changed my MSFS2024 simulator. It it so much easier to use Chaseplanes own camera logic instead of the default MSFS. And it supports both FlyBy and Tower views + a lot of other views.

I was looking for news on the 500 update that I heard about, but saw these in a late Dec message from Raul. Looking VERY sharp! Now, if we could just convince him to do a Bell 407 or 505 with Garmin glass, we'd have a GREAT trifecta! 😉

Hi, I'm fairly new to flight-simming and aviation in general. As of right now I'm after the simplest way to jump in an airliner, take-off, get to my destination and land. As of right now I just don't have the time to properly learn nor do I have the interest at present moment (certainly will in future). I have tried AI piloting after take-off but that feature just seems to be useless.

Hello, Lately I've observed degraded MSFS 2024 performance only when any form of injected traffic is created in the sim. I've tried both frame gen "on" and "off" and other settings to no avail. I have BATC, SI and FSHud and all three perform great with no injected traffic enabled. Once enabled - the sim is just not smooth any longer. Even when I turn on the lowest amount of possible injected traffic do I see the change in performance. I have FSLTL models only installed. Anyone else see this or have any ideas to try and alleviate? Hi guys I've sent an email to parallel 42 regarding this but just wondering while i get a reply if anyone knows a fix for this. I'm trying to setup my cameras and buttons for my aircraft now i've setup one how i want it (the fenix a320 cfm with sharklets) all good, however I also want to use these same views and buttons for another fenix a320 with sharklets. I went through the process of exporting the first one and saving it on my hard drive. I then setup my next a320 and went to import the cameras and buttons to this aircraft but on completion none of the buttons or views are set. any idea? I really do not want to go through every aircraft and…

Hello, I'm been running MSFS 2024 for a while now and Lately before SU4 its started to have Stutters or some may called it micro-pause. Has anyone experience this lately?? Its annoying that it stops for a few seconds at a time. Is there a solution to avoid it?? I appreciate very for any help or suggestion. Thanks in advance....

I'm in the process of testing out my 2020 aircraft in 2024. Slow process, lots of 'em. Some work, some don't, but I've noticed that liveries seem to be a whole separate issue. I've had aircraft, the FBW A380 frinstance, that seem to be working fine, but not one of the couple of dozen liveries I had for it in 2020 work in 2024. Seems a bit of an odd thing. Is this anything as simple as converting some files in a livery package to a different format (I say "simple" without actually trying it of course) or is this yet another complete c*ck-up by MAsobo. Anybody know what they've done or why? (as if anyone could figure out why)

How do i deal with a constant switch between 2 ATC centers? Flight: EBBR ---> EGLL. Once EBBR Departure clears me to Brussels Center problems start. I contact Brussels Center only to be told to contact Amsterdam Center. I contact Amsterdam Center only to be told to contact Brussels Center again. I've been involved with flight sim since the early days of Sublogic ATP and Microsoft's early versions and my most recent sim of choice was FSX. It was a heavily modded setup: 2 computers, 3 monitors with Aivlasoft EFB, Active Sky Next and some other programs. My FSX was also heavily modified with my own AI traffic flight plans, my own custom approaches (done with ADE) and custom databases to go with those approaches. Enough history. Hi guys, I appreciated all your posts on my question about what traffic app to use. I went with what I used in 2020, FS Traffic for 2024. But the instructions are not clear. It tells me to set "Traffic Airport Quality" to Off but that menu option doesn't exist. Same for "Air Traffic" but it too doesn't exist. And "Aircraft Traffic Type" to Off but like the other two, this doesn't exist. I do have "Aircraft Traffic Quantity" and "Aircraft Traffic Variety." What should I set these two to? Hello all, Just curious, does anyone else experience random CTDs when flying over the Caribbean Sea east of Central America? For me, it happens when flying between Jamaica and Panama. This happens in MSFS 2020 btw. This is subsequent to the SU16 update (all worked well previously). Jermaine

I know how toggle the drone (Shift-x), rotate the drone camera (i, j, k, l, f, k) and move the aircraft (s, w, a, d, q, e). But, how does one MOVE the drone eg. circle the drone around the plane or move it closer or farther from the aircraft?

i have installed the new version of maddog md80 and have inserted my simbrief pilot ID in the load manager but at the tablet i don't have the option of "simbrief OFP" Anyone with this problem?

Hi, it’s been a couple of weeks now with 2024. It’s outstanding on my older system and I haven’t touched 2020 except to look at key bindings. For 2020 I have Just Flight’s traffic program. Is there something similar for 2024? The default is ok, but I don’t see hardly any major carriers like DAL. Not looking for precise real-world traffic, just something that keeps the sim from being a ghost town. Thanks. Jack

Let me start by saying I have watched a variety of YouTube videos about ILS approaches to try to learn all about doing them. I can do most of the setup work can arrive correctly to find the glideslope. However, the part I cannot get a handle on is how to get the plane to automatically descend properly. No matter what I do I always seem to end up just flying over the airport instead of coming in for a landing.
