Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hey, I’m looking for tips on making the transition from 2020 to 2024 as smooth and quick as possible and would appreciate any tips in the following areas- I am planning to stay in steam platform. 1. Edition - since I heavily rely on many 3rd party addons I assume the standard edition will suffice? 2. How do I use existing content purchased on MSFS2020 marketplace? For example the ATR and other airports even if they are not officially compatible in 2024 3. How do I use other 2020 addons purchased on ORBX, inibuilds etc…? Do I simply drag them from the older folders to the new 2024 community folder? 4. Graphic settings - are they the same as i…

So MSFS24 lets you du the walk-around just after hitting start flight. How do i use this good immersion as i would expext MSFS would present to addons developers? How? PMDG737 , MADDOG etc. You start with this frome outside...... I meen at least have stairs and doors opened? Michael Moe

Despite using GSX Pro I prefer the default Aircraft Marshallers which I had in 2020 then some time ago disappeared except in a few pay ware airports I forget now which and I thought they were default MSFS characters. So on arrival I will use the arrival gate default ground would send me to. This made me wonder if there is a flag or setting to reenable these at default airports? Anyone else seeing default Aircraft Marshallers at arrival airports?

I have been gone from msfs since 2012. Have been looking at msfs20 and 24 and have decided to go with msfs2020 because I don't want to have an Internet connection to play. Hi everyone, I'm currently using BATC to inject traffic. Ground traffic appears normally, but when I'm airborne—even when AI aircraft are very close (they show up on TCAS)—I still can't see them visually, and of course, their contrails aren't visible either. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Just wanted to share my first impressions of the PMDG 737-800 after 19 flights in 12 days as I believe some are waiting for reviews of people who've spent money on this update and not getting it for free from PMDG in exchange for a positive review. TL;DR: right plane for my needs in good quality but PMDG as a company frustrates me even more than prior to my purchase. The last time I flew around China in MSFS 2020 it was pretty poor. A patchwork of poor autogen, poor terrain and it just looked underwhelming in every way. Even places like Hong Kong looked pretty dreadful outside of the airport. I obviously understand MSFS is not privy to the level of terrain data for say, Europe. What's the situation like at the moment? Has anyone ventured in recently? Where is terrain good or bad? I don't really want to plan a flight and have it look like Roblox when I land! TIA!

Hi, Just about ready to throw in the towel! Yesterday I get some BS crash while taxing out after spending 45 minutes getting the flight setup. Today another 40 odd minutes setting up the ride and the reversers don't work right (worked fine for the last few flight - nothing changed), wanted to back out on my own power don't like the tug and with good reason!!! So forced to use the tug, get done with pushback and now the aircraft won't budge! complete waste of time! Jump to 32:00 into the video to see the entire mess!

I saw an option to enter 2024 in safe mode once. Is there a way to force safe mode before starting up MSFS 2024? I don't need to right now, but might some day.

Did a flight from cyvr to yssy Msfs2020 So obviously took off and reached cruise altitude. Went to bed ,woke up before TOD and noticed that traffic had shut down completely using Aig traffic controller. Any fix from stopping that from happening. Traffic controller is set to my depart airport and arrival in settings. Set to 50% Thanks Mike

Those three programs are as follows: Narrator, that comes with windows based computers. A free program called Non-Visual Desktop Access, or NVDA for short. Does anyone know how to get the 'reset head tracking' to work with Tobii & Chaseplane? I see the toggle head tracking in Chaseplane and that's fine, but I don't see a way to reset the tracking within it. I have a keybind in the Toobi controller setting in the sim but that does not seem to work.

So I woke up pretty mad this morning. I was doing an Asia to u.s long haul flight, and sometime during the night, the game paused (same as hitting the escape key). How do you prevent this from happening? Otherwise I can't do long haul flights at all.

When selecting an airport in 2024, the game zooms in to the selected airport. But the clouds make it difficult to see the airport parking spots. Unless you zoom in all the way. Before all the updates you were able to filter out the clouds in order to see the airports and their parking positions. But now unable to filter out. Have anyone found a work around to removing clouds so I don't have to zoom in to griund level to see airport parking spots??
