Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

"Waiting for Simulator" I'm seeing this message all the time. No matter what I start first (FSHUD or MSFS). I have a valid license which I purchased 2022 form Flight1. At that time I've used FSHUD exclusively with P3Dv5. Meanwhile I have only MSFS 2020 and 2024 on my system and P3D has been uninstalled. I have always kept FSHUD up-to-date, even when not using it. Meanwhile I'm on v 2.0.146 and when I check my account setting in the app it says license is valid and active. Currently, I don't use MSFS2024. Hello, I saw someone post something about airports at glideslope.com and I was curious. So I went there and tried to purchase KSAN and entered in my CC but it was declined. I have plenty of money on it but it was declined. So I called my CC company and they said they didn't even see a decline. Is this a legit site? It looked nice with a bunch of airports for 2020, and 2024. Thanks. Jack

I upgraded to MSFS 2024 for my desktop and now use MSFS 2020 in my laptop. I just found out that buying the Citation X for MSFS 2024 will not allow me to use it in MSFS 2020! Here's a big BUT --if I bought MSFS 2020, I can also use it in MSFS 2024. It absolutely DOESN'T make sense! Don't make the same mistake I did. I'm hoping there's a solution that will allow me to use Citation X in MSFS 2020 also. Flightfx, please help.

I just kind of happen to notice that FSS has released its 727-100. It looks like it contains the freighter, passenger and the Super 27 variant for the 100. Just picked it up and have not installed it yet but plan to check it out briefly before doing a longer flight tomorrow morning/afternoon. I was kind of surprised. I did see a press release a few weeks before Christmas that it might be out before the end of 2025 but it might not make it. However it looks like it was quietly released today. Does anyone have any tips on what the Moza base settings / profile should be as well as the stick settings / sensitivity in the sim for Fenix? Just looking to see if there are suggestions. Thanks

twice now I get 100% update downloaded on screen but it fails at that point... freeze. DISREGARD A fifth try this time after a full restart of computer did the trick

A question for @Bad_T as much as anything. I'm a longterm user of the wonderful addons linker, in fact couldn't really organise my sim without it. I'm planning to use it with 2024 also. But there will be a period when I will need to have both 2020 and 2024 on my system, and be able to use both of them with the linker. I have a large addons folder (well over 2000 product subfolders), plus a separate folder for stuff to be loaded into the official MSFS folders. They won't change, I assume. What I'll need to change is the target MSFS folders (community and official) but my question is - how best to do this? Do I just install second copy of the linker and point it t…

Hello guys, i need some help. With SU4, it has appeared that AL needs a little feature to manage both the Community and Community2024 folders (not really needed for me but well you know it's for the community 😉). Unfortunately, as it is now, AL can't do that and most of the logic is based on only 1 destination folder so some changes are needed. Without even speaking about the complexity of the changes (it will probably require some work as all the features are based on the existence of only 1 destination folder), i need a good idea on how to do that in the UI. I have the MS XBox Store version of MSFS 2024 and lots of 3rd party content (airports) installed via the MSFS Marketplace. Are those purchases transferrable to the Steam version or would I have to purchase them all over again? Can both the XBox Store and Steam versions be installed and used interchangeably until I decide for certain which one to stay with?

Lost the ability to point to a switch or button with the mouse, say for instance on the TFDI MD 11 alt button or heading button , to get the up and down arrow to appear effectively pulling or pushing that control. Any idea where I need to go to change that setting to get it to function as it should? Skip

Flying over the Rockies last night and my simbrief flight plan completely ignored the fact i needed to fly much higher than 10,500 feet. Unfortunately FSHud seemed to be fine with those bad instructions. Am i doing something wrong or are these programs not able to handle this?

Which third party developer would you try to acquire? For me it would definitely be iniBuilds because they're good at creating compelling aircraft AND scenery.

Hi all, it is starting to annoy me. I have massive screen flickering since SU4, especially visible in the menues but also in the game if FPS are not absolutely constant. It looks like the known VRR-bug some OLEDs have, but I do not use an OLED, neither had I an issue with it prior SU4. Strange enought that I seem to be one of only few, as I did not find any report about it somewhere else. I have a nVIDIA card, use a G-Sync compatible monitor and G-sync active in both windowed and fullscreen mode. Could it be the current driver?

Few pre-flight questions - What airspeed do I enter into the window of the AFDS? Is there any way to import all the data from the Simbrief flight plan into the sim? Right now, I find I need to right down all the pertinent data from SB before I go into the sim, so I can then enter it. In RL do pilots complete the weight and balance portion on the EFB to generate their V-speeds or is this provided automatically by dispatch? Lastly, if you are taking off from a runway and have an immediate turn to a different heading, what is entered into the heading window of the AFDS, the runway heading or the heading you will be turning into after takeoff?

Anyone fly for these guys? Was thinking about joining them again, the website works, but when I select any link nothing happens. The website seems up to date, so I assume an issue on my end, but just checking.

I just picked up the next gen emb-110 for a few dollars from the market place. Before people jump on the " this is junk" bandwagon, I must say that for the money, this aircraft is a wonderful--no stress-- twin turbo to fly short flights on a moment's notice. Everything seems to work, that is, the basic stuff such as autopilot and other main features, all seem to work fine. In a matter of minutes, I can fly a short run, even manually, and have a lot of fun taking off and landing. Not sure how many are familiar with LLH Creations airports, but they are developed some superb French airports. Their airports are so realistic and alive. I tried accessing their website at llhinfo.com and it seems it no longer exists. I also tried emailing the address on their youtube channel but it was bounced. Anybody know what happened to them?

Flying LIRF - EHAM with PDMG now and got this message with blurry terrain started after that. Checked my internet, it's stable 600Gb d/l. What's going on? Never had this with MSFS 2020

So for about two months I have this weird issue: 1 out of 3 flights I get a freeze of the sim - sim completely frozen, sound still playing. But here's the weird stuff: 1) This seems to mostly happen while I am ALT+TABbed out on another window (usually Firefox). I notice it when I want to go back to the MSFS window and it's frozen. 2) When I CTRL+ALT+DEL and then hit cancel, the sim unfreezes and I can continue the flight. This has worked everytime so far except twice (see below). If I don't do this, the sim stays frozen for minutes. Sometimes I was able to unfreeze the sim also by killing a random MSFS simconnect process. While the simconnect stuff at least so…

Went on to MSFS 2024 East USA server at 10.00am EST today to fly from KJFK to Toronto in an F28 & it was a disaster - the takeoff & climb out were a slide show, a pause every 3 seconds or so. Gave up. Flew the same route yesterday, no problems. Anyone else experiencing stutters? T45

The MSFS 2024 installation on my desktop works fine, including the rolling cache. However on my gaming laptop (ACER Predator) when I try to set up a rolling cache I get the message "Warning Invalid rolling cache path Rolling cache path is invalid". This is using the default path (c:\users\[user name]\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024". If I try another path I get "Warning Invalid rolling cache path Selected size for the rolling cache is not a numeric value" whatever size I put in. Both C and D drives have plenty of spare space. Any ideas? This is doing my head in 😞
