Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I cannot pan around in walkaround mode, thus not able to a full walkaround. I studied Huddisons videos on setting up the controller. , I set views like in his 1st and 2nd video (in duplicated empty profiles). But in avatar first person mode, still rotate does nothing (forward and sideways work fine with the left controller stick). Only when I choose External in the toolbar menu, and thus get to 3rd person avatar mode and then can freelook in all directions holding the right mouse button (and still nothing happens with the right xbox controller stick) (In cockpit looking around in all directions works with the right stick as in his video) So something is preven…

Hi all, Recently I migrated to FS2024 and I have more or less installed/configured everything. However one issue is driving me nuts.... I'm using Chaseplane (like I did in FS2020) and I have configured short-cuts to each view (Alt-0/9) For some reason totally oblivious to me, Alt-1 opens an Windows Explorer Dialog, titled: 'Load GPX Files'. I don't have a clue which application this is (FS2024?). Verified all key-bindings and Alt-1 isn't configured in FS2024 (as far as I can tell. Azrsim just announced LFPG and EHAM and SBGL for this year on their Discord. They have some decent sceneries for parts of the world not covered by most other developers. I hope they can pull it off!

Is anyone else seeing a large square of water west of EGHH Bournemouth? It looks like a flat section of water from a distance, but when I get closer, the terrain underneath it starts to morph and change. As I explore MSFS 2024 for the first time (just installed), I see three locations where one can make changes to improve performance: 1) Windows 10 settings 2) Nvidia app settings and 3) MSFS 2024 graphic settings. Does one have priority over the other? Should all be used and set to the same settings? Should some be avoided? Clutch

Went for a quick flight around one of my regular areas, Southend. Hadn't been down that way for a while, probably pre SU4. Horrified to see Southend Pier has disappeared! That's like Paris without the Eiffel Tower! Did a bit of checking around and it's still there in 2020, and is even marked as a POI on the World Map, but no trace in 2024. Same addons in both sims, plus I also removed everything and tried in a scenery-vanilla 2024 with same result. I have raised a report on the MS forum, but just wondered if anyone here could check, just in case I really am having some weird local issue. So me not being a real world 737 pilot, I am curious what exactly the vnav is lacking on the ifly max. And does the pmdg 737ng do a better more accurate job? Any differences between the two in the real world?

How do you set the trim? Nothing I do changes the position of the little green arrows on the trim indicator.

Hi folks, TL:DR: Are there any downsides to having a huge Community folder, with over a thousand sub-folders? The full context: I tend to organise my Community content by having a folder on my desktop, called "Content". In it are sub-folders for regional groups of scenery (by country or region) and aircraft type. The scenery sub-folders have names like "UK", "USA", SCANDINAVIA", "NEW ZEALAND" etc, and each has up to 250 sub-folders in them, mostly individual payware and freeware airports. Similarly for aircraft I have 3 folders; "GA", "AIRLINERS" and "OTHER". I prefix each individual scenery item in those subfolders …

I have noticed flying in visual moisture and temperature below 0C post SU4 no ice accumulates on leading edges. I tried BS Baron and A2A Comanche (2024 edition). Most I get is frost on windshield in Baron. Most bizarre is OAT is -20C and I'm getting rain splashes on windshield. Has anyone noticed lack of icing? P.S. My icing is turn on in Assistances menu

My last AIRAC records almost one year back. I use mainly Fenix. Is there a way to get the current AIRAC running that comes with MSFS 2024 updates via LIDO? I just don't want to get the Navigraph sub again, since it's quite expensive for that I won't be able to use it much. As far as I see they don't provide that AIRAC only package anymore? They had that in the past. Of course I could just subscribe montly every 3-4 months for 10 bucks, and then cancel, but that quite expensive for an AIRAC and it won't be up-to-date most of the time.

Can someone who has some knowledge of the parking structure in MSFS 2024 (or MSFS 2020 for that matter) tell me if AI airliners can use a parking spot defined as RAMP GA MEDIUM? I have been puzzled about the lack of AI planes at EGNM Leeds Bradford for some time, and I have just noticed that the only two parking spots where I ever see airliners are defined as GATE SMALL. Hi all, In past threads, I was pretty critical about the A2A Aerostar. This was mostly due to some serious sound issues. Terrible crackling when in the external view and even some internal audio source files were distorting. Initial reports to A2A support went in the direction of "checking my sound drivers, levels, etc" which was frustrating as I had no sound issues with any other content in MSFS 2024. Anyway..... I just wanted to reflect that the update for the Aerostar that came out 2 weeks ago is absolutely flawless! All sound issues are gone. The external sounds are amazing and the internal sounds are now perfectly mixed, with not a crackle in sigh…

Hi, so Chaseplane as it is now does not support career mode, which Parallel 42 have officially stated here. But I have discovered that it is possible to partially use it in career mode (at least on my PC) in the following way. 1. In free flight use the same plane that you are planning to use in Career Mode and load up any flight. 2. Exit free flight and enter career mode. 3. In career mode select the samme plane for your mission. 4. Am I seeing things or is it real? On the opening animation there's a fire fighting sky crane helicopter and it looks like the bucket is a Campbell's soup can. Or am I mistaken?
