I just had one of the nicest flights yet in MSFS 2024. Using FSHud to control the AI traffic, along with it's ATC, I flew from KLAS to KSFO using the PMDG 737 BBJ (latest MP Upgraded version). All went very smoothly using FSHud. I converted one of my favorite BBJ liveries from MSFS 2020 to MSFS 2024 using https://flightsim.to/file/101791/ptp-installer-for-pmdg-737-800-msfs-2024-only from flightsim TO. It converted the livery without any issues.

So I just purchased (and love) Chase Plane. But, how can I use my X Box controller (on my PC) to move around like I used to do in "Showcase" mode before Chase Plane?

MSFS 2024 - Is it worth buying one of the Paris VFR Landmarks packages (ORBx or PrealSoft), or has the France World Update added enough 3D landmark models to make these two obsolete? I note that the ORBx product apparently deals with those "blurred out" areas around Paris (and that is extremely important to me), but a quick check near the handcrafted LFPB Le Bourget airport suggested that at least some of these have already been sorted out. Please note that I do not use PG.

Hi Simmers, I have not been on flight sim for a while. Can someone help me understand the difference in buying from Steam vs Xbox. Also, I plan to use my PC and do not have Xbox or any other console. Is it not possible to download the sim and manage/tweak stuff anymore? Or is it all pre-configured into (Low, Med, High & Ultra) settings only? How about managing addon from ORBX, REX Studios, A2A or PMDG etc? Thanks for your help in advance. veemaniq

A little known "secret" is that I bought Prepar3D not for the excellent airliners, nor the wonderful warbirds of A2A. Nope, I bought it expressly to obtain MilViz's hyper accurate built-for-the-USAF T-38C Talon addon. It was (and remains) a fantastic, highly realistic, and literally "Study Level" addon of this historic Fast Jet trainer. And you can't fly it like most mil jet addons - it needs to be flown "by the book", or you'll crash. Adding to @Christopher Low’s one man festive crusade to route out errors and anomalies, I’d like to add the following to the list.🙂 IRL The main instrument runway at KEDW Edwards AFB is 23L, with runway 23R posted as daylight use only with no runway lighting. However in the sim 23R has lighting and PAPIs , but even worse 23L has no lighting at all. Dusk time ILS’ to 23L require either a go around or a cheeky, but unrealistic side step to land on 23R It’s personally quite frustrating as I particularly like hanging around over KEDW in a fast jet at dusk. Is this “ user fixable” or if not ,if anyone has the ear of the developers can they pass it on? …

This has been happening with both the fslabs A321neo and the ifly max 8. I literally tried doing the same kind of approach at PANC and it worked. But I can't get it to work at any other airport so far. What's going on?

Hi there. Is there any recommendation on aircraft to be used for freight transport im MSFS2024 ? I'm looking for something bigger than a Caravan. Either stock aircraft or add on. But with a freight cabin I don't want to pretend I'm doing some freight transport with a passenger cabin. Thanks for any good advise.

Hi all, The EFB in the default Ini A330 has a simbrief import, which loads the aircraft fuel and payload as per the Simbrief OFP. But I cannot find anywhere to import the Simbrief flight plan (in the EFB or MCDU). Is it possible? My FPL from LEMD to OMDB has rather a lot of waypoints to enter manually 😄 Thanks

Dear All, I have had a CTD on two separate flights - one to Boston and one to Atlanta, both times just after I landed and started to taxy to the gates. I have flown to both of these airports previously without any issues so I am unsure what the problem is. On the first occasion, I had some freezes during the flight, which lasted about 5-10 seconds. I put the problem down to Gees, which had recently added. I was flying the Fenix A321. I subsequently removed Gees and had a trouble free flight to KRSW in an A300F. On my last flight, I was flying the iFly 737-8 and everything was running well. I had no issues loading the flight sim, or during the flight …

Hello, it looks like neither of these airports have been officially adapted for MSFS 2024 by developer, but I see that people are using both airports successfully in the new sim. What is the procedure? Simply move them both from FS20 community folder to FS24’s one? would appreciate your help TIA

Hi, I noticed on the Navigraph charts that this is not forbidden in any rwy direction and in direction of north/east/south/west as well. I think i have the newest rules of this in Europe but i cant se the ILS charts mention any nm or special CIRL to Land rule set. This airport is a little special because of high terrain so i am a little curious how it is performed in real life. I suceeded twice from rwy 24 circl to 06 (MDA2160 aka 2200) and about 2,5nm from runway a 070 degress left turn and about 45 seconds before going base and then down to 1000 feet and timing from treshhold about 40seconds again before turning to land Michael Moe

If you're not aware of this, and not flying a Fenix, I suggest checking it out. It enables you to have AI voiced cabin announcements at various phases of flight triggered by various sim vars. I think it also works with GSX (but I don't use that). It doesn't come with any voice recordings itself, but there are packs of voiced announcements for nearly every airline on Fenix Cabin Announcement Discord. I actually created custom announcements and used the apps text to speech generation option with ElevenLabs to create my own custom set of announcements for my virtual airline. I have MSFS 2024 with FPS = 30 set, from the "UserCfg.opt", and in the GRAPHICS settings confirmed with the "Dynamic Resolution", but both the Nvidia App statistics display and the dev mode fps window show FPS varying between 50+ and sometimes 100+ ??? This happens no matter what my option for AA is, TAA or DLSS... With FG using AMD FSR3 and a factor of 2x I used to see 60 FPS ...

Why is it that I can depart a larger airport with heavier traffic and taxing around and departure seems pretty smooth. But when I land at any airport even smaller ones with less traffic taxing around after the landing there's always panning stutters and micro stutters everywhere. There is less things to load, the airport is smaller, there's less traffic but no matter what and I've seen this from many people with Microsoft Flight simulator once you land it's not very smooth no matter what. So I decided to spend 5 Euros and try the CSS 737-500 again for a month, to see how it's shaping up. The first thing to say is that it's not garbage. In fact, the fact that it has so much potential is what makes it's current state such a shame. The systems and functionality are coming along quite well. But there are so many annoyances that - for me - make it unusable, The big one is that not a single key assignment for the AP works with this plane. Things like scrolling the heading bug or even turning on the autopilot all have to be done with fiddly, cumbersome mouse clicks. That right there, is game over for me. Be aware that a new optional line has been added to the manifest file for aircraft. Instead of "Simobjects", many third party aircraft are now designated as "Custom Simobjects". These load with a higher priority and may well be at a higher priority than your fix/mod.. GSX no longer loads. On the official site forum, many others are experiencing this - while it is working for others. The "official" explanation from FSDT is that it has something to do with sim connect and is not a FSDT problem! I don't understand how it works for some and not for others. Does anyone have a solution or a workaround cause I sure ain't going to get any further with FSDT!

Any of you with the 2 models ? Can you give me a comparison regarding the flight dynamics, emmergencies like autorotations, etc...? Systems detail... i.e.: circuit brakers aren't functional in the free SU 4 UH-1H. Are they in the paid version? Thank you !
