  1. Enough subscriptions. I know we've all had enough of them for a lifetime, right? Hi everyone, long time avsim lurker (got mod approval for this post) - my name is Jason and I’m focusing on creating an AI flight mentor for simmers, as a one-time purchase with unlimited use. No credits, no “premium” voices or anything like that. Think of it as a patient Instructor that never gets tired of your questions. You can ask stuff like “Why did VNAV just level off here?” or “What’s the correct flow before entering the approach?”, or anything else, really. To answer a few questions.... What makes this AI different? Instead of one generic “works in any plane” ins…

I was poking around in some of the AIG models to see if there is anything that can be done to the LOD setup and to my surprise the models do have LODs (5 of them in most cases): took a look at the FAIV_B7378.xml file and the LODS seem to be defined: So the AIG models do appear to be following the MSFS 2024 requirement for more than just LOD0. So I tried to use an off the shelf glTF 2.0 viewer these don't work with Asobo "special" glTF files as they aren't following glTF 2.0 specification. Next stop is ModelConverterX (which BTW can generate LODs) ... I couldn't find v1.8 so used v1.7 ... but I didn't see any attachment points ... hmmm. …

I've seen a Radio Panel from Wingflex (https://www.wingflexsim.com/index.php?id=2327) but was curious if there were any more Airbus specific radio panels out there compatible with Fenix. Does Skalarki have any? I don't see any in their Desktop line but might have missed something. Thanks

  4. Hello, Since I'm moving finally to FS2024 in anticipation of CP/PMDG combo releases, I would appreciate your suggestions for my smooth transitioning. I will also be torturing Chat GPT for a next few weeks 🙂 TIA!

Anyone know what this is exactly?

Is the AP broken in the TBM? I couldn't land after disabling the AP, as it wanted to stay on that alititude by all means.

  7. So I read Reddit as well as Avsim, to get the latest discussion and news on flight simulation. The two major subreddits I read at Reddit are r/flightsim, and r/MicrosoftFlightSim. One difference between Reddit and Avsim, is that threads can be upvoted on Reddit, so you can easily see the score of the thread, and which threads are the most popular based on voting. I can tell you that after MSFS 2024 was released, there was thread, upon thread, upon thread of the disappointment of MSFS 2024 upvoted onto the first page of both subreddits. My own impression was that in the first month after MSFS 2024's release, perhaps 90% of the threads were negative on MSFS 2024 in …

  8. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought there was a new LOD curve setting in SU4 graphics setting section that we could adjust to reduce object culling? I'm unable to find any such setting?

  9. Hello, I bought the A2A Comanche 250 and I would like the advice of pilots of this type of aircraft regarding the use of the trim during landing. At takeoff, I leave the trim in neutral, but during landing, if I'm in neutral, the aircraft is difficult to maintain on a 500 ft/min slope at 85-90 knots, and despite a flare, the aircraft bounces every time. Thank you in advance for your help. NB: If anyone is wondering: why not ask on the A2A forum? Well, I tried. They sent me an email asking for written, signed, and postmarked permission from my parents... I am 72 years old, and my parents are deceased. So...

Just a quick question. Not sure how everyone else feels but if you are going to make available your new plane to the streamers don't keep us waiting more than a few days.. it's difficult to resist looking but ultimately I get upset that we can't play ourselves and then I dont care so much and maybe I won't bother .. Fenix just drop their new update and its like Christmas comes all at once..... H

Aircraft like the C-172 and the TBM 930 in MSFS 2024 SU4 (with follow-up patch to build 1.6.34.0 running in the latest version of Windows 11) feels like the aircraft is "ice skating" on the runway and taxiways. I can't control them and follow a straight line. How do I increase runway friction and crosswind handling? Excessive yaw and nosewheel sliding feels like the aircraft is skating on ice. My joystick's Deadzone is at 0.25 and Wind speed is 0. I don't have this problem in MSFS 2020 in Windows 10. Thank you.

  12. Anyone know how to disable the keyboard help overlay at the bottom of the screen while in "Freecam" mode in SU4? I thought it would be under Instrument Tooltips but apparently not.

Just purchased FSDG VRMM. Gates are all over the place and none of the jetways work (even after installing the FSDG GSX file). Really disappointed

Just downloaded and took the newley updated Aerostar (1.0.4) for msfs2024 into the skies... And, that wierd, absolutley unrealistic and desperat, hysterical wingflex/vibrations during flight and on the gruond is totaly crazy! What is that? And for what purpose? That for sure must be an issue of some sort! If that was "real" my wings on the Aerostar would have fel off after five minutes... Please A2A, solve this issue please! Pelle

  16. Just saw the thread on Reddit. With SU4, MSFS 2024 has overtaken MSFS 2020 in the number of players on SteamDB since the release of MSFS 2024. When MSFS 2024 was released last year in November, for a brief period of time, it had a higher number of players than MSFS 2020, but it wasn't long until MSFS 2020 retook the player base lead. But since that time, this is the first time that MSFS 2024 has overtaken MSFS 2020 for active players in SteamDB: I don't know how long MSFS 2024 will keep this lead. For all we know, MSFS 2020 may retake the lead again. But with the PMDG 737 coming out soon for MSFS 2024, I think we could be at an inflection point, and th…

We beta testers just got the OK from Blackbird Simulations to post pics of their SR-71, and what a bird it is. Below it is shown at one of its bases, Mildenhall (EGUN), England. It flew many missions over Europe, Africa, and the Middle East departing from there in the 80s and 90s. It flies differently from anything else I have ever flown in a simulator, including the Flight Sim Labs Concorde. Everything goes so fast at 80000' and Mach 3.3, it is unbelievable. I usually create a flight plan with waypoints every 500 nm, and takes just 10 minutes between them. California to New York in little more than an hour. And it 's not just the speed. The plane was desi…

Hello everyone I just bought and installed the CSS 737 which I use with MSFS24. I have witnessed a very strange behavior with my computer EACH AND EVERY time I use the 737. The next time I reboot my computer, it enters an infinite bios loop, with no access to Windows. I have to fully unplug my computer for 10 mn to access Windows again. Pretty worrying. I don't know if their launcher plays with persistent RAM, UEFI or boot sectors but there is something. I have now un-installed their software and don't have this behavior again but I'll probably need to do a fresh reinstall of everything for security reasons. Some may object it is pu…

  20. I'm excited to introduce you to my latest project: iFly Schedules - an Airline Flight Scheduling tool! 🛫 What's it all about? Generate random flights using REAL route data - we're talking 14,000+ genuine routes! (Route data accuracy might not be 100% as I am not using an API for now.) SimBrief integration Currently only featuring 4 airlines (hey, quality data isn't cheap 😉) Accept the flights you like and save them to your personal schedule Mark flights as completed once you've flown them in your sim 🚧 Alpha Alert! Just a heads up – this tool is still in its alpha stage, which means that there might still be some bugs. We're usi…

I was wondering with Fenix2GSX, do I need to initiate boarding in the Fenix EFB or does Fenix2GSX initiate it? I ask because on my first flight, Fenix2GSX did the fueling, catering, etc but the passengers didn't start boarding until I boarded them via the EFB. However, i didn't see any virtual passengers boarding. I wasn't sure if I was just too impatient and should have waited longer. Thanks. I appreciate the input.

Has anyone managed to get ANY pushback program to work on the otherwise magnificent iFly737 Max8? - Their own one doesn't - the tug just jiggles around a bit then goes back - Aerosoft Toolbar Pushback Pro doesn't - it won't release the park brake or realise that the pilot has released the park brake - FS2 Crew Pushback Express doesn't. It'll eventually pushback Asobo's own 737, but not the iFly737 I've lost a fair bit of cash and two days just trying to be able to set off the iFly from cold and dark. Everything else is tickety boo - even getting the trim and CofG synchronised! But as for being able to move out of the gate...not a chance. …

Just a shout out for my MSFS gift suggestion. If you have MSFS but don't have an MS XBOX controller you are in for a treat. Recently my yoke and throttle went out so I bought a wireless MS XBOX controller for $50 from walmart. The surprise is that it is fully configured for all views - drone, external, walkaround ect. which takes time to setup. It even vibrates when taxiing. Just set it on the chair and you have a buttekicker. Anyway I never used my yoke / throttle once in the air so keep those and use the XBOX controller for everything else. Xmas cheers dd
