This picture was taken an hour ago. Test pilot Squadron Leader Giles Croft in the hot seat of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Virtual Reality Spitfire simulator at RAF Coningsby. He is putting it through its paces with the aim of getting sign off today according to Regulatory Article 2375. This will officially approve it for specific training exercises including emergency procedures. It's running the Flying Iron Simulations Spitfire MkIX, tuned to match the BBMF aircraft, although the modifications were fed back into the current consumer version. They chose MSFS partly because of the realistic scenery enabling display practice for new pilots or unfamiliar display lo…

Well it looks like Imaginesim updated Atlanta to now include the Whiskey Loop. It took them long enough to fix this. We've been asking for this update since the last update. I wonder if the upcoming Orbx Atlanta pushed them to update it and get a few more sales. I know if users asked them to fix it, they were blocked from there FB page. From the screenshots there still misssing a few buildings around the new Whiskey Loop. Anyways, has anyone checked out the new version? I purchased mine on the Marketplace so its not in there yet. KATL Atlanta MSFS 2020 Update Available now for our website customers via the imaginesim Operations Center. Most signifi…

I have been slowly migrating into FS2024 and have been slowly applying tweaks making it look and run better. When I pick up a new PC in the Fall sometime I plan to fully retire FS2020 and hopefully by then just about everything I have in FS2020 will work in FS2024. Like it or not FS2024 is the direction most developers are heading. During testing and just general running in FS2024 I have been doing a lot of flights in the default Inibuilds A330 and A320 Series aircraft. Pretty much 100% of the time within 30 to 45 minutes into the flight I loose the ability to use instrumentation in the cockpit and the plane just turns turtle and will crash. It pretty much ruins…

While I love how this aircraft flies in MSFS 2024, steering it on the ground is another matter. I currently control my aircraft with a CH Products yoke and throttle quadrant, and I also use a Thrustmaster Airbus flight stick that has rudder control on its twist axis. While I can steer the 737 Max on the ground with the flight stick rudder axis, I would much prefer to use nose wheel steering so that I can control this plane just with the yoke and throttle quadrant. Problem is that I cannot find a way to reliably assign nose wheel steering to an axis on the yoke or the throttle quadrant. Ideally, I would assign the nose wheel to the yoke’s “X” axis and use it for both …

After clicking on the GSX icon I get the message "departure clearance requested" and then NOTHING. I have uninstalled and reinstalled GSX numerous times but to no avail. Posted on fs dreamteam forum but no response yet. Using latest GSX version and FS 2024 latest beta version. Any suggestions please?

Hello Gang. I just noticed there is a new airport scenery available for KPHX by GlideslopePro. Has anybody tried it yet? Just curious what the consensus is. Cheers

Which airport addon would you like to see, and from which developer? My choice would be LFMN Nice Cote D'Azur from MK Studios. We do not have a top quality version of this airport in MSFS. It is a great location for an airport, with some outstanding scenery in close proximity. It also has some interesting approaches from the east. As for the developer, I have always liked MK Studios airports, but they seem to be getting better and better with each successive release. Lots of detail, good quality textures, impressive interior detail in terminals and other buildings, and (perhaps most importantly at this point) they have not abandoned MSFS 2020. So, which airport/…

Anyone aware of the development of a good version of RCTP. The current ACO and Double T versions are not particularly good. Also waiting for a good Chongqing (ZUCK) as the current Samscene version (accompanying the city) has some weird elevation glitches.

2 It's been working properly since this morning, but for an hour, 2024 loading has been stuck at 0%. After a long wait, I received error 002-902 from the server. Msfs 2020 is working properly.

I've released my first scenery addon -- hope it's OK to promote it here. https://flightsim.to/file/80300/enas-ny-alesund The addon recreates Ny-Ålesund airport ENAS as well as the research settlement it serves. Ny-Ålesund, which started as a mining town in the early 1900s, is located in the Svalbard archipelago in the Barents Sea, at almost 79° north. The airport has an 800 metre / 2600 foot gravel strip and is served by Lufttransport Dornier 228s, with several flights a week to Longyearbyen ENSB, around 60 miles away. ENSB was included as a hand-crafted airport in World Update V. For the best representation of the scenery, both World Update V and World Update XV…

I feel this is overlooked and a lot of people don't realize this, especially a lot of MSFS 2020 users who don't realize how MSFS 2024 is more advanced than MSFS 2020 in specific areas (how many MSFS 2020 users keep saying they don't notice the difference between MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020). So I'll let FSElite describe the difference: Here is MSFS 2020's ground: Here is MSFS 2024's ground: Now I want to emphasize that the ground handling has improved in MSFS 2024. We have had various threads and discussions on that already. But what the 4000x more detail in the ground geometry means is that the ground in MSFS 2024 is the most realistic gr…

Strange issue cropped up suddenly today out of nowhere. My throttle axis is no longer working in MSFS 2020 and 2024. I searched for other bindings or assists that may affect this but cannot find anything that conflicts. I tried mapping my warthog axis to the mixture and it works fine. Mapping any other hardware axis to the throttle does not work. If I use the mouse to move the throttle, it does move but immediately resets as if there was a binding conflict. This occurs with all aircraft. Any ideas?

Hi all. I went straight from FSX to MSFS2024 after buying a new PC. The new sim works wonderfully and I have managed some really great flights, with one exception, which is this. The other day I compleated a 2 hour flight in the PMDG777F with weather and everything running, Active Sky, GSX, etc. I finished the flight, then added a GSX profile for the 777F. When I then reloaded the sim, the main menu loads incomplete with a piece missing, like a black box in the middle, if I then click on the aircraft the world map goes all strange and the points of interest turn into a kind of bomb burst across the screen. If I click Start Flight it usually end with no screen lo…

I use FSLTL for traffic but the slider for 'historic' parked is very limited, so of late since I have processing headroom started using default parked aircraft, but they're w/o RW liveries it appears. Not bad but not ideal. Recommendations?

The author starts with a review of his familiriztion, along his year of flightsimmer, with helicopter modeling in desktop simulators and ends with a very good analysis and tutorial about the latest version update for the FlyInside 206 for FS 2020 and compatible with FS 2024. I will surely give that a try when possible because I was always decepted with the peformance of the FlyInside Bells in FS 2020 and 2024, specially when dealing with autorotations.

Good morning all. I have Propwash's PWS530 device. It works great in FS 20 but I can't get it working in FS 24. It shows as connected to the sim and the com port is correct, but the device does not interact with the aircraft. It would be great if someone else who has this device has it working in FS 24 and can give me some direction. I have asked Propwash for help without getting a reply, and my sense is that they are not longer around. Martin

Hi Are there any profiles I can download for the PTO 2 panel to be assigned like the autopilot panel or do I need to do this mapping individually? Also any profiles to the MFD's with display for the F16 or similar or again this needs to be done button by button? Any advice appreciated

Hi everyone! I recently purchased the Fenix A320 family and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of the product. I do have one challenge, though, and I am hoping some of you might be able to point me in the right direction. Because of a physical condition, using rudder pedals or a full joystick setup is extremely difficult for me, so I have always relied on a gamepad controller. This has worked perfectly for years across all aircraft (PMDG, Aerosoft, Leonardo, etc.). For braking, I have always assigned the brakes to a single button and applied them gradually by tapping the button repeatedly. It has always given me smooth, progressive braking in every aircra…

I reinstalled SimWorks Studios RV-14 in MSFS 2024 and couldn't find a way to remove the co-pilot. In 2020 I could do this by setting the co-pilot weight in W&B to 0.0 lbs, but now I can only do this in EFB and 0 or 0.0 doesn't work anymore. Selecting none for co-pilot avatar in settings also didn't work. Is it still possible to remove this dude? For the life of me I couldn't understand why SWS decided that having a default co-pilot dude in their airplane is a good idea, absolutely driving me nuts.

I am trying to figure out the release Just Flight 146. I bought mine a while back at Simmarket. The latest shows 1.2.4, is that the latest. Everywhere it is referred to as 2.4? The EFB shows 2.4 in left corner as well.
