December 1, 2025Dec 1 Hi everyone! I recently purchased the Fenix A320 family and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of the product. I do have one challenge, though, and I am hoping some of you might be able to point me in the right direction. Because of a physical condition, using rudder pedals or a full joystick setup is extremely difficult for me, so I have always relied on a gamepad controller. This has worked perfectly for years across all aircraft (PMDG, Aerosoft, Leonardo, etc.). For braking, I have always assigned the brakes to a single button and applied them gradually by tapping the button repeatedly. It has always given me smooth, progressive braking in every aircraft. With the Fenix buses, however, things behave very differently. When I press my assigned brake button, the brakes immediately jump to full force and the aircraft comes to an abrupt stop. If I try the usual “tap to slow down” technique, there is a noticeable delay before the brakes engage, and when they finally do, they go straight to maximum. It makes taxiing extremely uncomfortable and practically unmanageable for me. So I wanted to ask: Does anyone have ideas or workarounds to make braking in the Fenix more progressive when using a gamepad? Is there perhaps a way to smooth the input (maybe through FSUIPC or something similar) without switching to pedals? Any suggestions would be truly appreciated. Thank you all!
