Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi guys, and 2024 users ! Is it possible to use MSFS2024 with an Internetconnection with only max. 50 mbit ?? I signed a two-year contract with a provider for 300 Mbit ( I live in a rural area, unfortunately ) and was promised that it would be ready after about 1.5 years, but since so much has changed in the world over the last two years, it seems to be delayed quite a bit now. And if 50 Mbit/s isn't enough, I probably won't be able to upgrade to MSFS2024 until I switch to the new provider. Is anyone using MSFS2024 with 50 Mbit, and can they comment on it ? cheers 😉

I tried at least 5 times to get a flight going when using the native version of Flightbeam's KSFO. I kept getting a CTD during the Pre-Flight phase (FENIX A321) about 5-10 minutes in. I had version 7.0.3 version of the noolaero-module-vgds installed, so I went to the Flightbeam website and found a newer version, 8.0.0 and updated the module (Flightbeam uses this Visual Docking system in their sceneries). I am currently flying from KSFO to KSAN and have experienced NO CTD. Maybe the version I was using was outdated or corrupted? I hope this truly fixed my issue. I can't even remember how many months it has been since Asobo broke it in one of the updates so can't believe it is "still" pink but sure enough, just passed EHAM at FL350 and the whole airport looked like it was painted by the Easter Bunny. I am guessing this is not an issue in 2024? Hi guys! Im using Lossless Scaling while Simming MSFS cause I still run a 3080 Card. Sometimes when Im on Vatsim (vpilot) its no problem at all and the output fps are constantly 60 as always, perfectly smooth. But sometimes Vpilot causes the output frames to vary between 50 and 55, destroying the smoothness of the experience. I tried to figure out what causes this, cause its really strange. If it would be a permament issue then the problem would occur constantly and not just occassionally. Does anyone of you also use Lossless Scaling along to Vatsim? I normally run at a set 30FPS with NVIDIA frame Gen 3X, latest drivers, SU4, and this gives me a rock steady 90, which I'm really happy with. However every time I restart the sim it goes back to 2X, leaving me to forget to change it each time, a bit annoying. Any ideas what might be causing this or what I can do?

Good evening folks, I am looking for some help setting the standard viewpoint in MSFS24. For example i would like to set the view in the Visionjet a little more to the front since for my taste it is a bit too much to the back. I know in MSFS 20 there was a way to edit the config file but it seems that this is no longer possible in 24, is it? The ingame Camera settings only work for height, zoom and sideways. Does anyone have a clue or advice on how this can be done in 24? Any help highly appreciated. Happy flying, Thomas

Rather than MSFS 2024 versions of Flow or Chaseplane it appears that //42s next release is a Go Fish a fishing simulator add-on for Avatar mode in MSFS 2024 SU4. https://parallel42.com/products/gofish It's currently available to Club 42 members and presumably will go on general release shortly. Honestly it feels like an April Fool that's been release 5 1/2 month early but it looks like they are serious....

Hello, I finally took the plunge and installed FS 2024 (thanks to a friend of mine who was so generous as to offered it to me for my birthday!). The installation went smoothly and to my big surprise, it is working perfectly on my extremely poor 13mb/s internet connection. I can't believe it! It is contrary to all expectations. The scenery is beautiful, no stutters, no blurries. Happy flying!

MSFS 2024 lets us get weather that is linked to sim time, unlike the real time weather of 2020. However, using SayIntentions and whatever metars the Fenix and PMDG planes provide on their electronic flight bags, it still seems to be linked to real time. Leaving me with inaccurate QNHs. I'd quite like to have weather linked to sim time. Places like Johannesburg you get these crisp mornings with afternoon thundershowers which really adds to the immersion. Is there any way to get a SIM time metar?

I was just made aware this afternoon that aircraft I "own" in FS2024 can be imported into FS2020. This is significant for me because I've been spending most of my time in 2020 for the last several months. Why? Because FS2024 has been a bit of a disappointment. The enhanced scenery is awesome, sure, but I can't actually use it, because my Radeon RX-6800-XT GPU apparently doesn't have enough mojo, even though it was just 1 step below top of the line in 2023 when I bought it. I've had to turn off or downgrade to "Low", a lot of the graphics settings in FS2024 that work just fine at Medium or High in FS2020. I recently got MSFS 2024. I'm having trouble operating switches and instruments in cockpit mode with the mouse. The switches light up blue but don't respond to a mouse click. I also can't pan in the cockpit with the right mouse button. In MSFS 2020, everything works fine, so it's not the mouse. Does anyone know a solution?

The author has just updated this with a lot of enhancements for those that use it or want to try it. https://flightsim.to/file/95050/aerotunemfs Personally, I have not tried it yet, but would be interested to know what results people are having with the new version. The inbuilt system is setrving me fine as things stand without having another app to twiddle and tweak with (I may give it a go at some point depending on the range of responses).

I have had LGAV in MSFS2020 for ages. Lately for some unknown reason, I experience double airbridges. The FT blue and the default steel. Anyone with a similar experience? I am at a loss how to remove the default one which never used to be there.

Had a bit of problem with my FS2024 desktop icons (one regular, one fast start) after the 2024 SU3 update. Created some new ones directly from my installation but the first try didn't start FS2024. After searching i found that i now seem to have 2 FS2024 installations which are the same but where only one seems to work. Hey everyone, I have another question, this one about fuel mixture. 1. Takeoff: The checklist says the mixture should be adjusted according to the plate next to the fuel flow indicator. (Image attached). Then, in the take-off section of the POH, it says, "To obtain maximum engine power, the mixture must be adjusted during the initial take-off run to the fuel flow corresponding to the airfield altitude. (Refer to the 'Take-off and Climb Adjustments for Maximum Performance' plate, located next to the fuel flow indicator.) Hi all! Does anyone know why every time I try to board or deboard with GSX, the jetway keeps attaching and detaching by itself? It's driving me crazy, I've been trying for months and I can't find a solution. In P3D it was much easier and it never disconnected on its own. I've tried with the ini A350, the Fenix A320… nothing works. Thanks
