Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Can somebody tell me about the pros and cons of enabling photogrametry at FS 2020/2024 ?

MSFS2020 it does not have the current charts correct? I download charts from FPLTPLN.COM and the don't seem to match the arrivals and departures. Does it mean I get a subscription from Navigrapgh for current ones? I believe MSFS2024 is current chart already

Hi all, I already had the A320 installed and updated, but I have just purchased the A319 and A321. To my surprise, when updating, the installer shows the message “Scanning, checking for new versions” and never finishes, which prevents me from continuing. I start my Duke according to check lists...the wheels do not have chocks... I can get the Duke to fire up and accelerate to full speed...I release the parking brake but nothing happens...it just sits there...what am I doing wrong?....help please...

Not sure how long this has been going on since I mainly fly the Citation Longitude, but I went to take the C172 for a quick spin, and noticed it's constantly drifting to the right. It starts as a gradual bank and just keeps going. I re-cal'd my joystick, but no luck. I just loaded up the Citation, and it doesn't do it with that plane. Anyone else run into this issue? If I kick on the AP, it's fine, but it makes hand flying very annoying. Thanks!!

Hello all, I am keen to give the whale a bit of a leg stretch one day. Currently, I am running an older system (6700K/1080/4K monitor) with P3D and the trusty PMDG 744/777/FSLA320. I am holding off upgrading my PC so as I don't upgrade "too early" and essentially have a new PC whose capabiltities I'm not actually using. Is the FBW A380 in a decent state for long-haul flying these days? I appreciate systems depth etc. (to a certain level - I don't often trigger multitudes of failures, but like to practise an EFATO or something like that every now and again). I am happy with the PMDG 747 and its features like auto step climb, the ability to save and reload…

This just started today in both MSFS 2024 and 2020. The gear warning sound in all aircraft (that have landing gear) stays on after takeoff when I retact the gear--in every aircraft at any altitude. Unless I put the gear down at any altitude, it starts again. The warning sound keeps going even after I've terminated the flight in midflight, and stays on until I select a different aircraft for freeflight. Then it it happens again--any aircraft. What is going on?

Hello fellow Captains. I´m currently flying in 2k with an RTX 5080, 9950x3 CPU and 64 GB ram and with every settings in ultra and 300 in LOD with no stutter whatsoever. 95% of the time Im only bush flying with helos and almost never above 5,000 fet AGL. I would very much be able to go over to 4k but Im afraid that my 16 GB of vram will not be enough for my type of flying. So I would very much appreciate to hear from anyone who is currently in the MSFS 2024 Beta whith 16 vram what your experience is. And if the Beta allows you to fly outside heavy airports an cities with many of the settings in ultra without having too much stutter.

hello I m going to move to a brand new pc. I use the steam edition , do you know if all my binding will be transfered ? i cant find an option to export them , or a file to backup (as in xplane12). For the other parameter , i hope i will be able to mover slider all at ultra 🙂

Hi! I was wondering if any of you have run into an issue with comm frequencies at KORS (this happens both with and without Orbx's KORS installed). Only the AWOS is available, no CTAF. Instead, the frequency for Victoria Intl. (CYYJ) shows up when on the ground. I've tried removing all custom PNW scenery, but the problem persists.

When BATC instructs to descend to a particular waypoint, which is the first waypoint in a STAR or maybe a transition, then says nothing about what altitude that is, is it expected to descend to the altitude constraint in the first waypoint in the STAR involved...or go to the last waypoint in the STAR? This is a fake example but something akin to this happens enough and I'm not sure what the expectation is. I might be at cruise or some descent point of say 22K feet, and BATC says, "Descend to CHRON, expect rwy 08L..." and when I look at the FMC (don't use approach plates/charts) so that's all I have to go on, and it's showing CHRON at 12K feet, is the expectation to …

Is it possible to export the Linker's "Addons Map" to Google Earth?

I had requested a bunch of new aircraft categories at flightsim.to - because many of the General Aviation (and obscure airliner) paints were "lost" in the Other category where no ever sees them after hour 1. Originally the site only had Airbus, Boeing and Cessna LOL.... There's currently 25 active aircraft manufacturer's in the world. All you have to do is click on Liveries, then All Categories, then the Quick Access Aircraft Manufacturers sidebar appears I'm saying this now because I've noticed a large uptick in downloads for my 2024 paints, but also some of the 2020 stuff. Simbrief already has loaded a profile for 737NG FS2024, and it is credited to PMDG. I thought the release date hadn't been announced yet. It usually happens after launch or when it is imminent.

Loved the Chancellor in 2020. Some problems in 2024, though. Last two flights I cannot shut down the engines. Despite turning off alternators and everything else in the cockpit and cutting the fuel, the engines keep running. Even control-E doesn't work. Any solutions?

I'm a long time simmer, and spend most of my time in the Fenix A319/20/21 and PMDG 777 in MSFS 2024 with nearly 100% successful flights. I've tried so many times to get into the FsLabs A321Neo but it's just nowhere near the above. Hi, I'm very late to the party but yesterday I finally caved and bought the Blacksquare Turbine Duke (I bought the Piston on Day 1 and told myself I wasn't interested in the Turbine. It's been chipping away at me ever since! 😄). Of course, everything is absolutely stunning and I was a fool to wait so long. But there is one thing that I can't suss out; In the tablet settings, there is an option for "beta annunciator". I like this convenience in the Black Square TBM. With my 3060ti, I was happy running at 1440 res and averaging 30 fps with airliners and traffic addon. I recently upgraded to a 9070xt. Yet, I am frustrated by the fact the my fps have not changed. If anything, they are lower. As a fairly experienced simmer and pc nerd, I tried everything imaginable. One thing I notice is that the latency of the cpu is in high 20's, while the GPU is practically zero. Lod or TOD make no difference. Whatever changes I make in msfs graphics setting barely have any effect. At this point, I welcome any theories.

Under the control section, I have created a few new profiles for some airplanes. When I try to delete something other than the default, I select the item to delete, click delete, and it still appears on the list. Any help is appreciated.
