Having little experience in the real world, how does everyone judge how the pitch/roll should feel for a given aircraft with this yoke? For instance c172, i assume shouldnt be loose as a goose but have some tension (with turbulence off for instance)? Then scale up to other aircraft, i assume larger aircraft more tension? But how little/too much Where does everyone get their 2024 msfs profiles for the cls60? I swear i downloaded a bunch off the flitesim site but now cant find it (or discord), i wanted to make sure i didnt goof up the ones i have (have wbsim and others). *I used ai to create a profile and at one point didnt realize for propwash (i think was it?) r…

Anyone care to look in their Windows event log for app crash/es similar to the following below entries...(they were all back to back during a run of MSFS2020) but I also see same ones when I run 2024. They however do not crash either sim at all. I posted over on the FSDT forum and Umberto replied the following: "The error seems to indicate a problem with .NET, which is quite strange, since the Couatl64 .exe is NOT a .NET app, it's a native x64 app that doesn't do any call to the .NET framework. So, I wonder if this might be something else entirely, like another app (antivirus, maybe) that DOES use .NET and attaches to the Couatl64.exe, which is what antivirus usually…

When I pick an airport in the world map and zoom in and click on ie rw 09 and choose that as departure, it always picks the opposite rw (27), and it doesn't matter which airport it is. And when I click Start (Fly) it places me on the rw (27) ready for take off. Is that something you also have experienced?

Any solutions to only giving about 92% power on the N1 and taking about 7000 feet to 9000 feet runway to takeoff in the Captain Sim 717? N1 never increases past 92% power for me. Anyone else have had issues with takeoff in the CS 717? I basically have to start my flight spawned on a runway for a good takeoff in Free Flight. Am using the 717 in MSFS 2024 from the Marketplace and for MSFS 2020 on the CS website.

Attempting to connect to the servers. Based in the UK - Are MS servers fooked again or is it just for me? Checked my own connection and I am getting 142 mbs download Edit: Up and running OK now, so must have been a glitch, but I have noticed lately that flights and scenery (especially photoscenery) seem to be taking a longer time to render.

good day I am attempting to get MS2020 to open VFR cockpit view on a consistent basis. I have tried all the existing shortcuts and, while thay work for a time, after a short while, thay cease to open the VFR view? My attempts to resolved this are numerous, even to the extent of deleting my Keyboard shortcuts and re-doing them? The problem usually shows up if I click another view eg. drone or exterior one? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Norm

Two days in a row, EHAM > EDDM, up at cruise altitude major stutters to downright pauses. All the way to altitude all was great with very low CPU use, core temps around 50C, GPU coasting along at 40% utilization, but this sudden deterioration. Had to abort both flights. Anyone else? I also just installed 4090 so wondered if maybe its frame generation routine was hosed as a cause for this, but I have to doubt that I have had success in US flights. Photogrammetry is in, FWIW

I hadn't flown the iFly 737 MAX in a while, and last week was the first time I've flown it in extremely hot conditions (KLAS.) I've always loved the way this plane handles, even in 2024, but my latest flight was an absolute mess. The plane was wobbly in both pitch and roll on approach. Initially I thought SU3 beta was the culprit, but below you can see XP72 having the same issue in calm conditions (3:49:30), and he's on SU2. He landed at KSLC earlier in the stream and same thing (2:13:57). Is this just how the iFly handles in hot and turbulent conditions? If so, that's ridiculous. I know that Asobo's exaggerated turbulence can wreak havoc with many planes, but no oth…

Amongst the flurry of posts around MSFS 2024, I don't think there's been any mention here of the excellent freeware Fokker F-27 that was recently released: https://flightsim.to/file/84997/fokker-f27-mk500 Officially 2020-only for the time being, but reportedly it works in 2024 with a few cosmetic issues. Here's a video that gives a good first impression: The engine sounds are excellent -- they really capture the unique character of the Rolls-Royce Dart engines. These engines are interesting in their own right -- unlike most modern turboprop engines, they don't have a free power turbine. Instead, the same turbine powers the compressor and the …

Absolutely love twin engine turbo YS-11, but have a stubborn, continuing problem. Fifteen minutes into a flight all avionics are lost, including the HSI. The airspeed indicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator, flaps and landing gear operate fine and the aircraft flies great. I have gone through the popup checklist over and over, but do not see anything I've missed. Any suggestions?

Hi! Is there a way to sort of "remove"/reduce the "microjumps" that I experience in the A2A Aerostar? Both inside the cockpit and when in outside wiev... I know its might realistic, but sometimes I experience that those jumps, are a little bit "too much"... Can I turn that effect of or reduce them? Best regards Per

I'm seeing a lot of attacks on BATC cropping up and it makes me wonder if it is coordinated. BATC is an early access product that is optional to purchase. It is $30. I've seen less criticism on $60 products that some would say are garbage. BATC is a work in progress. They are frequently updating the product and they have two modes --early access and experimental. There is a ton of information out there about the product. So everyone buying basically knows what they are getting and what are some of the challenges to come when they purchase. It seems some are going beyond criticism of the product and are trying "scare" others from buying the product an…

I see a lot of discussion in threads about beta about performance and planes hanging, etc etc.. I last tried beta during SU3 for a while but have decided to keep to the released version for a while. I keep trying to advance my career but it also drives me nuts, I wondered if someone using SU4 beta can comment on Career, is it improved at all from where SU3 is at now? The biggest reason against using beta for career is that none of it carries over into the release version 🤨 but if there are actual improvements going on I might switch for a while to check out what they are doing. Thanks!

Hello fellow simmers, I've been flying since the FS2000 era, and I can confidently say that flight simulation as a platform and community has made huge strides forward. However, I’ve never used Microsoft Flight Simulator—neither the 2020 version nor the upcoming 2024 release. That said, I still watch hundreds of videos about the new platforms and their addons. Unfortunately, what I’ve noticed is that MSFS feels more like a toy simulator. It seems the company is leaning toward an Xbox/PS5-oriented experience, likely for extra revenue, which has disappointed the core flight sim community. I’m hoping for major improvements in the future, especially in the following…

Running into a bit of a confusing one and hoping someone can help! Maybe @Kaiii3 can help. Using AIG with all airlines installed. I've done 2 flights into SBGR using TropicalSim SBGR. In both cases I had pink planes that were labelled TAM in FSHUD traffic Map and being called TAM by ATC. There were a few sitting to the right of 10R as you land. The issue is I have opened AIG and installed missing repaints but when I went back I still had pink planes. Went back into AIG and searched for TAM and got no results but I have no way of figuring out which of the updated LATAM airlines (there are a few) are causing the issue. Any suggestions? Th…

I am wondering what the general opinion of the best place to set your max frame rate. Setting it in the sim is the easiest but I thought I had read a while back that it does not always adhere to the setting. Then there's the GPU itself. Or even MSI Afterburner. But which should be avoided and what is best to use? Thanks .....
