Hi all, I recently purchased the above product from Simmarket and the experience has been so poor, I felt it necessary to warn others in our community. I have not provided a link to the product or to Simmarket, so as not to breach any terms of service, here on AVSIM. I recently bought the "Upside Down Aviation - MXP1000 Tayrona from Simmarket. The product is listed as early access and cost EUR 19.19 😐 I then found that the product is the lowest imaginable quality, is almost non-functional and contains sounds from BAW (Boris Audio Works) C152 sound pack, that I am led to believe were used without permission. Imagine the lowest quality freeware…

They took out the Easter egg of 2020 where you could fly the 1st four early versions of msfs on your g1000 screen. I'm not sure if ms2024 has any of this uh "stuff" in that version? 2020 Meigs 36 DA62 plane. Flip the big red ELC switch on. A keyboard pops up to allow flying the old versions. Removed in 2024 version.

Had a couple flights with BATC now. For the most part it was fun, better than I was expecting. But then, going into Monterey, it pulled me off route onto a heading and then gave me a "descend and maintain 2,000"... While I was over terrain that topped out at 5,000ft. Does this program really have no understanding of minimum vectoring altitudes / terrain? That surprised me quite a bit. It appears the program just descended me based on distance from destination with no understanding of where I actually was.

Hi, I sometimes does not use ASFS (sometimes the dramatics in MSFS is quite nice - especially those rain clouds in the distance) and noticed the sims using properly a history weather theme/metar. Is it possible the above for using realtime METAR/weather with a manual day of time in sim? Thanks Michael Moe

Aren't some of my planes (like the A2A Commanche) tied to an MS2020 library? I don't fly 2020 anymore and want to clean up some SDD space. Could there be any regrets?

I think all payware developers should release their aircraft with a Simbrief Profile. That would be a nice touch as a part of their "full" package release.

I’m thinking about buying a subscription for the charts and the up to date AIRAC’s because I want to start flying to places outside the US and charts for other countries are basically nonexistent when using things like ChartFox even though they do have charts for airports like EGLL the only functional ones are ground charts. Charts for SIDs and STARs are just nonsense showing multiple procedures for different runways all on one plate and not providing any altitudes or speeds. Also is there any other features that Navigraph provides that are useful? And in the past I had an issue when purchasing from Inibuilds with my card being blocked for fraud suspicions and I was only …

I'm getting no winds, and totally incorrect temperature and pressure in MSFS 2020. I definitely have real world weather enabled. Anyone else?

Hi, Lately, I've noticed that increasing or decreasing the audio volume causes the brightness to change (the highest level is extremely bright). I don't have any idea what is the cause of it, but it is very annoying. Any clue? Has anyone noticed anything similar? Greetings

Can someone help with how to select mouse settings between Legacy and Lock? Google, YouTube and AI info doesn't apply that I can find as things change. I'm unable to hold a magneto switch in start position with left mouse button as with FS 2020.

I'll be installing 2024 in a couple of weeks, and keeping 2020 around for a while 😅.. through all the noise, hearing from those who've actually got the sim working it appears that the ground level details are as promised, atmospheric lighting is better, weather/clouds are better, the new flight planner is great and has complex depth, better multi-threading, etc.. but what I'm most interested in are the flight dynamics and ground handling improvements (or lack thereof), and the quality of the default aircraft/systems/avionics in general. So wanted to keep this thread solely focused on flight dynamics and ground and water handling/physics, and the ground<->air t…

I captured about 7 Minutes, out of different flight sequences of my flight. From TakeOFF, CLB, CRZ today, MMUN - SCEL. The Data is Aggregated in my CapFrameX Tool so you have one graph of frametimes. Important: FrameTimes give you a perfect idea of smoothnes. This was in VR!!! Varjo Aero wit 35 PPD (and 4k upscaled in OPENXRToolkit). Without VR it is exact the same smoothnes. So you get an idea! My PC is well setup, 9900X3D, 5090RTX and Varjo Aero used in this test. PMDG 777, MMUN and SCEL installed (as well other addons (about 150+). FrameMax Setting in SIM 45 FPS VArjo Aero 45FPS Nvidia App in use with Smooth Motion on So Butter …

I thought i'd share this with anyone who plays either of these two at 30FPS. I typically try to achieve 60FPS in MSFS 2020/24 because there is a lot of ghosting when panning either inside the cockpit or viewing the landscape when it is set to 30FPS. With X-Plane 12 that doesn't seem to be a problem. I have raised the white flag trying to play X-Plane 12 @ 60FPS with most of the graphics settings maxed out on my recent DIY 9800X3D, 64GB of 6000Mhz RAM, RTX 5080 and a 2TB Gen 4x4 NVME, SSD. With maxed out settings I will typically get around 38-41 FPS at JFK. Smaller cities or airports it will hit on average 55-60 FPS. With MSFS 2024 I can consistently hit 60 FPS…

As still soooo many sceneries for MSFS2020 are not officially updated to support MSFS2024 (a real bummer) and it is extremely cumbersome to keep track manually by checking forums and pages, I slowly started to add the one or other MSFS2020 scenery into my MSFS2024 library. So far with good success. However, with PacSim RKSI I fail. Not because it is not compatible, but because I dont even get it installed. It simply fails to install, I fear it is somehow checking if MSFS2020 is present or not. Anybody successfully managed to INSTALL it into MSFS2024?

Hi, Is anyone else using the Leicester Aero Club (EGBG) scenery in MSFS 2024 ? I bought this from Simmarket and in 2024, for me, it's completely unusable, as there us a huge 'trench' right aound the parking area. So you cannot ever taxi to the runway, as you'll fall into the trench! I emailed the dev a while ago - with no reply. Simmarket are dragging their heels with a credit / refund, as they have too contacted the dev and haven't had a reply. Would just like to know if it's just an issue at my end, or for everyone using the scenery in 2024 (it's listed as 2024 compatible). I've also tried the scenery with an empty Community folder and got t…

If true this is very interesting but a lot of chatter going around about the next gen XBox being more of a PC Hybrid. Yet to be seen what that actually means. https://www.techradar.com/gaming/xbox/the-next-gen-xbox-console-sounds-like-it-could-be-a-pc-hybrid-just-like-the-rumors-suggested-with-the-xbox-president-calling-it-a-very-premium-very-high-end-curated-experience Very interesting potential development that could certainly close the disparity between PC and Console users. Heck, if it's performance is on par with a gaming PC and it removes the "variables" of troubleshooting I may even consider one myself. Especially if it handles my peripherals and their…

Having a problem with this. I found that the fsltl folders were installed twice on my system - one set in the communty folder and one in the content folder, so i deleted them both and uninstalled the flybywire app in windows. Now every time I download the flybywire app and try to install it along with the liveries, it installs them in my content folder and of course when i try and run fsltl it tells me that It needs to be in the community folder. If I move the folders into the community folder, it tells me that it is not installed at all. I do remember when I first installed it a long time ago, I needed to type in the install path, but I don't seem to get this…

Hi , I am using a Thrustmaster T.flight Hotas 4 joystick which i have used for approx 4 years now, over the last month , I have had an issue when if your turning left or right while flying , the back end of the plane will start swaying from side to side and this may even happen without touching the joystick when taking off and the plane will pull left or right. I have reduced the sensitivity in the joystick settings with no effect , This will happen on any plane I have uninstalled the joystick and reinstalled it, I have changed the weather from live to a sunny day , I am totally at a loss . Any ideas . I have yet to try it on Auto pilot but i do prefer to f…

I've been using PSXT in MSFS 2024 which offers a decent real life AI aircraft experience, but with no ATC. Just tried Beyond ATC at EGLL (Heathrow) and it has aircraft all over the place... BA aircraft starting at Terminal 4 (which they never would), A380s in the most ridiculous places. Surely it should know which airlines and aircraft should go where...?

I have been trying to find a tutorial video for using the TDS GTNXi with Simbrief and STARS. I have no issue preparing the flightplan in Simbrief and then importing it into the TDS GTNXi and then following the flightplan after take off. My issue is setting up the STAR approach to my destination airport. I select flight procedures, then choose my arrival and approach. I reference Navigraph charts, but have just not mastered it. My latest flight was from MKJS to MKJP. The final waypoint in the Simbrief flightplan before the destination airport was SALOC, so after refencing Navigraph, I chose the ACEDA approach to ILS 12. Took me way off where I expected to go. Ano…
