Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

With SU4 I am getting a split second but very noticeable transition when switching to external view and back into the cockpit. Never had this before. Mid to long distance scenery transitions from blurry to sharp and the cockpit feels like it is being quickly rebuilt rather than instantly now. It almost feels like it is switching from one sim to another. Anybody else seeing this?

I'm guessing Tuesday but I could be wrong. dd

IniManager starts the installation by deleting the iniBuilds EGLL in the MSFS2024 Community, but then no download occurs. The same thing happens with iniBuilds PHNL in the MSFS2020 Community. The installations remain in "Queued" and no downloads occur. I opened a ticket with IniBuilds support, but I don't think they'll respond until Monday. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

I tried to download the update from Marketplace. It says "Ready to Install" but when I hit Install nothing happens. What am I missing?

Since SU4 I'm dealing with a problem in Marketplace. I don't have any add-ons through Marketplace but I went there to see what updates needed (or could) be installed with SU4. One was Base Content, 320 out of 330 items with a download of +160GB. Took a while, after the download was finished, I did shut down my PC because I needed to go somewhere and I don't want to keep my PC running when I'm not at home. After coming back, I turned on my PC again, fired up 2024, went to the Marketplace only to find out that I had to redownload the entire 160GB again. Where did the first download go? Love SU4 but the fact that I’m in the middle of Kansas at night and it’s lit up like I was over Chicago must be a mistake? Side neighborhood roads, interstates connecting towns fully lit up, WTH? Is there an option to tone it down or limit it to the urban areas only?

I know SU4 was about fixing bugs and not adding features but in all my flights so far 1 thing stood out: Lack of blurry ground textures. What is the thing you like most about SU4? ** only positive replies please ** dd

Simulator worked just fine the other day. Today, I am stuck on the ramp. Usually, I use Shift-C to enter cockpit and menu bar on screen displays this option. Today, menu bar only says "Enter Aircraft" without keyboard shortcut info. Mouse click on tool bar menu item does nothing. I can open the door but clickspot on seat does not work. Hard to simulate a flight if I cannot enter the aircraft. This is with the A2A Aerostar. This is really pissing me off. Anyone know what could have changed. I am not on the beta. Thanks, Mike

Since this morning I am not able anymore to start a flight with the Vison Jet. I start things up but after a few seconds the engines shuts down and I see the message I have a system failure (not the PC but the plane). There is no way to turn the plane on again after that. Just now I gave another plane a try (after a complete system reboot!) and there the engines also shut down after a few seconds... I never ever had this before... Did something change somehow after the last MSFS2024 update? I did receive a PC update this morning too: could that have something to do with it? Anyone else had this problem? I simply can't fly anymore!!!

Just saw this today 12/9/2025 (6-ish pm California time) in the Orbx app. I've no idea how long it'll last.

Wondering if anyone else has worked through the academy content and what were your thoughts about it?

I was going to take advantage of "Black Friday" sales to buy or build a new PC for FS2024 but with costs of GPUs and memory, I just can't justify it. I think that means I'll be sticking with FS2020 where I can use higher settings where if I were to switch to FS2024, I'd probably have to lower my settings. As such, I decided to just buy lots of add-on airports for FS2020. My biggest push for a PC upgrade is PMDG 747. I really loved that airplane in P3D. Maybe I'll kick myself in the future for not upgrading. From what I read, no new higher gb GPUs are coming on the market until 2027 so that means anything on the market right now is going to dry-up or become even …

Good evening, Since joining the SU4 Beta some time ago i was enjoying the sim big time. With FG i was able to keep a stable and fluid 60FPS. However for some days now i am suffering again from FPS tanking whenever i enter clouds. FPS drops from 60 to around 55 causing stuttering and killing the immersion. I didn't have this issue since using MSFS 24 and i am wondering what might cause this now. I have not changed any settings just installed SU4. Additional i am not using any fancy addons except REX Atmos and the Inibuilds A350. Both had giving me amazing smoothness before. I reinstalled MSFS, emptied the caches and all that usual things. AI but no traffic what's going on? under GENERAL settings, I set ONLINE to OFFLINE AI traffic, and I see plenty airliners but nobody moves, nobody lands or takes off. only when I switch to ONLINE traffic it works as expected. I then completely de- and re-installed latest MSFS 2024 store version with: empty Community, fresh content.xml, no other AI tool installed. real world time and weather. no time acceleration. A kind member sometime back showed me how to delete 10 sl_ files in the Nvidia main file which for some reason block my MS2020 startup This works fine but I have to do it each time before attempting to start my MS2020 as the Nividia sl_ files reconstitute themselves each time I exit the game-it’s time consuming Is there anything else that I could try? xxd09

I have had this problem for quite awhile and hoped SU4 would solve, but it did not. Probably once every 15 minutes or so, my flight will "pause" for a second 3 times in a row. It is ALWAYS 3 times. It does not matter what or where I am flying, it always happens. Other than that, the sim runs perfectly. Any thoughts on what would cause such a thing? Thanks, Dave

As title says, I can not access the Career Mode almost from the begining. (which was the main selling point of MSFS2024 as advertised) When launched, I entered few times and started a career but then always it says the server problem for about a year. I tried few thinks but still no change. Anyone facing the same problem continuously ? Any suggestions or solutions ? Thanks to all captains. Regards.

I just read a post saying someone should say something negative about SU4. Here's my contribution... 🙂 Bought a new PC but wouldn't have had to if SU4 had been released before Black Friday. SU4 could have saved me U$4000.

I am currently using Webroot but starting to think it does not play nice with MSFS2024. Any suggestions for a good program that has no issues with 2024? Thanks

I have begun getting an error message in 2024 that VR Setup failed. However I do not have VR. Any knowledge on how to fix this?
