I was browsing flightsim.to today after work, picking up up dates and mods and I instantly was drawn to a picture of a of Tucson's Control tower. So I got irrationally excited, thinking maybe a high level developer did Tucson... But... As my eyes made there way toward the bottom of the frame I saw. Sold by feelthereinc... sigh. Well, almost.. lets look for some new repaints. But I kept coming back to the page. So I decided to check the screen shots. Oooof 20 bucks... Bargaining with myself. Well, It's a little more up to date and it says airline codes are assigned. So of course I bought it. TL:DR Not worth 20 bucks but not bad. Overa…

Can someone solve this mystery for me? I'm about to fly the 738 out of KSNA using the normal PMDG profile from Simbrief which gives a Max TOW of 79333kg. When I input all the figures into the EFB performance app and hit calculate - I get an error stating "Takeoff not allowed- Max weight of 65259kg is exceeded." I should be 10 tonnes under the limit as I'm at 69050kg. What gives?

A re-design of city area according to geographical position of objects. We bring out the best of MSFS in build photogrammetry around the city area, by fixing textures, structure, bridges, shores and added back many missing buildings and features. The main objective of this scenery is to show MSFS's USA photogrammetry at its best, with addition of feature buildings to further enhance the simulation experience. This volume 2 includes 4 major cities in United States: San Francisco, Atlanta, Charlotte, Honolulu. Features 1. over 80 handcrafted building models in each city 2. replaced default broken bridges with handcrafted bridges over the cities 3. beautifu…

In the Aerosoft Twin Otter, I am trying to bind the "External Battery" switch to a button on my Honeycomb Bravo using Spadnxt. A working solution has eluded me so far. Has anyone been able to do this? Perhaps a similar control in a different aircraft? I even tried Lorby but was not successful their either. MSFS 2020; Windows 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Martin

I run a fairly hefty machine based on 32Gb RAM and a RTX3090. However, I think my week point is likely to be the I7-10700 which is boosted to 4.8Ghz. My question is, can anyone offer some first hand experience of upgrading from this processor to an I9, and if so , which version would see a worthwhile gain in performance for me? I am conscious if I am running at 4.8Ghz whether I can actually find a boost in performance by upgrading to an I9 (not sure which model) If so, can I get to 5.2Ghz without a big overclock? Help with this will be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Ever since I (re)verified my Steam files and installed the Nordics it seems that this fella seems to be popping up on every aircraft I have tried so far. Does anyone know how to fix this as I'm sure it isn't doing his health any good? Cheers!

Very nice rendition of a smaller regional airport on the North Island of New Zealand, kind of in between Wellington (by Flightbeam) and Rotorua (included in NZ World Update), though much closer to Wellington. Fills a nice little gap for those flying Air New Zealand routes in-country. Real world destinations from here include Auckland (again, Flightbeam) and Christchurch (NZA Simulations) with Air New Zealand, as well as Nelson (NZA Simulations) and Hamilton (we need a high quality rendition here) on Originair (also need a nice Jetstream 31/32). https://store.inibuilds.com/collections/new-releases/products/xwind-palmerston-north-nzpm-msfs

Just came across a video saying you need this to keep charts up to date in MSFS. I do not have a subscription to Navigraph Do I need to get one? Does MSFS2020 updates the charts whenever there is a new release from Asobo. Kind of confused here

Is this still a thing? How many of you clear this out periodically - and do you see a difference when you do?

Hi all, Over the last 2 weeks I have been replacing my 4K TV’s by larger ones and adjusting the cockpit windows so I did not use MSFS. Today I started MSFS to adjust the views and accidentally I remarked that FG did not work correctly on my pc. I use the NV fps counter like always. FG on : 39 fps FG off : 52 fps Sane test airport as always : Amsterdam Schiphol EHAM. Normally with FG on I see 97-112… Anyone with a 4000 GPU that uses FG on experienced the same ?

Hi I've been doing some multiplayer stuff with my brother-in-law with the Marketplace-bought FlyingIrons ME-bf109s and Spitfires. We have been doing this in VR but the issue I have is the same in 2D In terms of what works fine: - both he and I flying the Spitfires together. Both aircraft render correctly, Mind-blowingly good - both he and I flying the bf109s. Both aircraft render correctly. Equally mind-blowingly good The problem we are having is when one of us chooses the Spitfire and the other chooses the bf109. Except for one time, when it all worked fine, the issue is: - my brother-in-law's view is showing both his and my aircraft m…

Hi all, title says it all... RDPresets has a Black Friday sale and I am on the fence to get Bergen (yes, I am aware of the freeware) and maybe Gibraltar as well... However, the developer is not very responsive and there are long outstanding issues. Any one got experiences with these guys?

Quick question for @Bad_T or anyone else if they know. I've gotten my system all nicely set up for my default aircraft hiding obsession now, but as part of doing this I realise that I find the dependencies viewer a bit of a handful. Basically I can't figure out how to use it! I know there's no official help info, but none of the stuff I've looked at as per the suggestions in the "help" menu seems to even mention dependencies. Anybody know of a really good explanation anywhere? I suspect a lot of my scenery dependencies aren't working as planned anymore because of the whole thing about the subject of a dependency having to be a specific addon, rather than a folde…

Hi, I seem to have lost the B747-8i checklist. I *think* it was there when I first flew the Queen, but now it's gone, I get an empty checklist. I vaguely remember seeing the file somewhere where it was not supposed to be, but my memory isn't what it used to be. 🙄 So, if I am right and there is an actual checklist, could a kind soul send me the .xml file? Thanks in advance! Jure

I’ve noticed on longer flights that upon arrival, the runway will have several discernible seams crossing it. They look to be about 8” to 12” high and when the wheels strike it—it’s game over. I have a working theory about this…that the scenery degrades over time, perhaps due to inadequate bandwidth(?) But does anyone have a solid answer? This seems to happen most often with a big cpu draw aircraft like the PMDG B737, and I’ve even seen it on departure runways too.

Before I begin, I just want to make clear that this isn’t another thread about METAR vs. MeteoBlue weather model data, or closed vs. open weather API. Instead this relates to at least one apparent bug, identified by the community on the MSFS forums, which might be responsible for some of the terrible live weather depiction we’ve had since SU5. There are a few topics on the forums relating to the degradation of weather depiction in the sim after SU5 and the Xbox rollout. This issue is one of the most disappointing aspects of the sim for me, because the screenshots and videos I have from the early days of live weather in MSFS are spectacular compared to what we have no…
