Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

On the RNAV(RNP) RWY 27 Zulu approach into San Diego, I've noticed that every time I disconnect autopilot a few hundred feet above minimums that the aircraft immediately applies max power (no toga) and completely deviates from the selected speed and over speeds. I've checked to tutorials a bunch of times and I'm doing everything right. Help? Carter Zang

At the end of last year, Flying Iron announced that they would be developing a WW2 'heavy', and have now confirmed that it is the B-17G Flying Fortress. No great surprise there - a good choice, as everyone loves a Fort. They made the confirmation on Discord. This is unfortunate because I'd rather have a dose of herpes than use Discord, so, if anyone is willing, can they copy and paste what the announcement actually said. Much appreciated in advance.

With no fix for the existing multi-monitor support on the horizon, I'm being forced down the 3 PC route. My plan is to install Steam MSFS on 3 PCs, each connected to a TV. I will be using Aerowinx PSX which can sync MSFS over the network. How do I go about this practically? I think I need 3 different Steam accounts, with 3 separate emails and 3 separate credit cards? How does scenery work? Can I install airports on one shared drive between the 3 PCs, or maybe rsync the scenery between PCs?

I bought this - this week - because it was so like my Carenado Meridian I so enjoyed in P3D 4/5 years ago However, it seems to have at least one annoying snag/bug - in that - in AP - it wanders off to starboard in the heading phase around every 5 mins in flight It is exactly the same problem that we faced with the A2A Commanche when it was first released recently in MSFS anybody else ?

I took a very quick helicopter flight over the Faroe Islands last night just to see what improvements had been made with WU15. At first glance, it did not look any different until I got in the air. The elevation mesh is a huge improvement and is very detailed, giving the islands their natural shape; it is quite an awesome sight and well worth a visit. Unfortunately, the colouring in some areas is horrendous, with grass represented with that hideous vivid emerald green with pinkish rock faces. It's not all like that, so you could probably plan a nice scenic route. I've never been to Faroe, but from photos, I don't see any trees or shrubs. What I do see is a scatterin…

This started in the TBM850 forum, but I think it is a more general bug of some sort, has anyone run into this? When loading the A36 or TBM850 with a flightplan, often the plan does not show up in the VFR map or on the GNS530. Sometimes the plan appears after a while, or after zooming the VFR map. Other times, it simply refuses to show. The plan shows on the NAVLOG popup, so it is there.. just does not appear on the map(s).. Does this sound familiar to anyone..? 😉

Sorry if this has been asked before, but this icon has suddenly shown up when flying in VR and I have no idea where that came from. 1 in 6 ILS approaches has worked properly. The APPR display does not "arm" in white. It goes straight to "green", when switching from Heading mode on intercept path. But it rarely captures the ILS. All their planes are the same. I've wasted so many hours on them. Bring on the SWS PC12.

I am looking for a plug-in usb device to hopefully do MSP functions for MSFS. At a minimum I am hoping to get something that would provide a rotary knob for altitude and one for vertical speed so I don’t have to use a mouse to do this on the CRJ and the 737-700. Can anyone who has something that is working point me in the right direction?

This is a current issue for me.. At time 2320Z.. I tried 3 different aircraft and I could not receive a VOR signal in any of them. Not having any other issues at all. Anyone else experiencing this at the moment?

When flying IRL I use a tablet with moving map software to navigate, get WX/NOTAMS etc. Is there an app to do this with the sim?, I.E. connect to the sim and show progress on the app. Somebody did recommend one to me some time ago (I forget what it was called) but it only had US Coverage, I fly mostly in Europe. Anything out there? Burt

Just had A/P fail (?) right before flying the APP into KTRK. Heard audible "AUTOPILOT" warning then was able to click it back on, only to have it click off again (NO AP light on the scoreboard). Tried the YD D/C to no avail. Normally would try circuit breaker but no clue if that works in MSFS? Do NOT have failures allowed in settings Do NOT have the beta installed Has anyone seen this? How can this happen with failures disabled? This is eerily like the real planes behave now! 🙂

Hi there, short NOTAM: unfortunately our API service stopped working affecting several systems including our Installer and aircraft systems including parts of the flyPad (weather, VATSIM, etc.) and the MCDU (flight number, TELEX, etc.). Please have some patience while we investigate and fix the issue. You should otherwise still be able to fly normally even without some of these systems. Happy Grounding!

We all know that the ground physics in MSFS have "room for improvement". E.g. when standing on the runway, planes remain like glued to the runway even with very strong crosswind. Now I have found even weirder effects, please see below videos. To save you some time, watch the C172 especially from 1:30 min and 4:40 mins on. As I switched to Linux and operate MSFS through Steam, I'm wondering whether that is the reason. Can anyone confirm the the shown behavior?
