Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

The sim has been pretty much perfect except for this one small thing. If I look vertically from the floor of the cockpit to the overhead there is, without fail, a huge stutter. It only lasts while I look through the "stutter band" and it goes away after that. But if I traverse that territory again from top to bottom (less prominent) or bottom to top (biggest stutter), there's the stutter again. What I've found so far is it tends to only happen if I lose sight of the horizon. Hello Folks; So my ISP just upgraded my network from 75/75 to 300/300 (not that I needed it) along with the latest and greatest Router since mine was over 10 years old. Now keep in mind I never had issues running MSFS 2020 with my old set up. Since the upgrade MSFS 2020 will hang on the "New Activity" loading screen using my Ethernet connection. I tried everything possible including disconnecting and reconnecting to get it to work, eventually it will connect but will get the message that the bandwidth is too slow which definitely should not be the case. I have been away from home for two weeks so have only just installed hotfix two. I was expecting lighting and colour to be different, but it wasn't. Colours still look washed out and the lighting looks flat. Anyone else underwhelmed with hotfix 2? I deleted the nvidia lighting and colour filters prior to the update, but had to put them back on. I am struggling to see any visual changes. Within the game I can see the correct version number. I have tried the setting graphics to low then ultra in the game.

Seems like it just showed up for me this morning. Perhaps after that small update which I perceived as a telemetry package to help Asobo discern the cause of the non-sticking assistance settings. Anyone else? -B

Up till now I have a positive experience with using Simbrief in FBW A320 as well as Fenix A320 and importing flightplans by making use of the tablets. Now that PMDG recently introduced its tablet I immediately jumped over to the B738 to gain some experience with it. After many hours of working with the Simbrief Downloader and trying many different download directories (following PMDG, Simbrief and Navigraph guidance) I still every time get the following message on the PMDG tablet: SimBrief error: Either your Simbrief alias is incorrect, or you have no flight plan. I used properties under device manager. It only shows like a four axis controller. So I installed CH manager and it showed 6 axes for the handles. Going back to devices now it said must use CH manager So I calibrated with CH manger and then uninstalled Is there a way to have window 10 recognize the 6 axes

Hi, I've gone into the World Map and selelcted LOAD/SAVE option press Load from this PC and then selelcted the relevant AutoSave.FLT file but it wont restart my flight again after a CTD. Is anyone able to offer assisitance on how to restart your flight again if you encounter a CTD. This is the 2nd CTD doing the same flight with A320FBW which is very random Thanks Jason

Heads up I updated to SU14 Beta this morning, and it seems to have broken the PMDG 737-800! I can't type anything into the FMC i.e. say I type 123, it now displays 1 I type 2, and it just replaces the 1 with 2 etc

I wonder if there is a way to improve the readability of the various marker labels in MSFS 2020. The text (white) is sometimes difficult to read especially when viewed against a clear background like the sky for example. Jean-Jacques

Very hot here atm and my 5800X3D is hitting 90°C a fair bit with the fan running quite loudly. Whilst I run at 30 fps to help keep temps down, I know a few of you have been undervolting this CPU a little. My question is what voltage are you using and how much difference is it making to your performance and temps as I would like to give it a go, but with the benefit of your experience before doing so. Hello everyone, i recently picked up the pmdg 737 but im hacing some troubles with programming the reversers. I have a hotas warthog with airbus detents that look like this: https://flightsim.to/file/16290/generate-your-own-warthog-throttle-detents What i want to do is to make the idle to climb 0-100 in power (which i have done), and then idle to idle reverse and idle reverse to maximum reverse. The latter is where i have been stuck. I picked up FSUIPC to be able to program it but i was only able to program the normal thrust and not the reversers. Hi, I'm kind new to the 787 and I have some questions regarding the weight and balance configuration. I usually import my data from simbrief, but I noticed that only changes the info in the FMC, not the actual payload. So I look at the numbers in simbrief and I set them in the weight and balance tab. Even If I have the tanks full or the weights exactly like I should, I always get an insufficient fuel message. Any idea what I should do, or any tutorial that can help?

New to MS 2020. Noticed my Flysimware Cessna 414 in a thing called "My Hanger". It looks amazing in there... I'd like to put all my payware separately in that area. Is that possible or is it something the developer decides. I have the A2A Commanche 250 and the PMDG 737-600 and want to add both there to keep things organized sine I wont be flying any default planes. Can one force planes into the My Hanger area?

Has any one got the weather to work with the new EFB? I am suspecting that you have to have a charts subscription with Navigraph to get weather..

Any way to extend the LOD of cars on the roads? Any mod or? It looks ridiculous when they just pop up below your plane... This is one thing I hope they change for 2024...!

Surprised this add on hasn't had a mention especially with the popularity of the Fenix A320( unless I've overlooked a post). Decided to purchase yesterday evening as have other fs2crew products which are great and when I used support a while ago they were top notch. Anyway pleasantly surprised at how good it is. No noticeable hit on performance and adds to the immersion. I believe they may now have permission to model a first officer for the PMDG 737 series too. No regrets with purchase and a thumbs up from me. Regards to all Colin

Right after I purchased the 737-600 when it first came out, I bought the 800 version, and have flown it ever since. Now that I am flying on A Pilots Life, I decided to get the 600 out of the hangar, which I haven't touched since I bought the 800. I had forgotten what a nice aircraft this is to fly, especially on takeoff and landing when the light weight is quickly evident. From now on, I think I will switch back and forth between these two aircraft.

V 1.1 just came out... If you also own LVFR Miami, read on.. Samscene fixed the cruise ships and two of the three islands I complained about, Hibiscus and Palm Island, but not Star Island. Worse than that, however, in the process they flattened the tall buildings on South Beach... that is not good.. For now, I have changed the priority so that lvfr Miami has priority over Samscene.. and that is workable, but surely that was not their intent..

So this issue whereupon the whole screen briefly flashes has been around for quite sometime (see linked thread from official forums below). Only happens in DX12, not present in DX11. Only way to get rid of it is to turn bloom off. Asobo has done nothing with this bug for well over a year and likely never will. As per the topic, i've been noticing real high CPU usage when flying over Germany, Switzerland or Austria. Took off from EDDM, with normal CPU usage and during cruise CPU all of a sudden jumps to 70-80% rarely coming down to its normal 20-30% only to go back to 70-80% for most of the time. This causes some stuttering because the sim isn't running properly in these areas and also high CPU temperatures which is annoying to say the least. If i remove the airport, same symptom as the problem only reveals itself during cruise. I'm flying right now over China and there's no such problem here. There's no such problem anywhere else really.
