  1. Hi there, NOAA recently gave aviationweather.gov a huge overhaul and with that added a new API. We've now been able to add NOAA as a METAR source for FBW aircraft, providing worldwide coverage. The option is selectable on the flyPad ATSU/AOC settings page in the Development Version. Additionally the NOAA TAF source has been fixed in line with the new API, and a couple of other no-longer working options are removed. Happy flying.

Currently flying the Pilot's Dash 7 from KJFK to KBOS , IFR for an ILS into 33L. I am using the Dash 7 TDS GPS in the cockpit & somehow the PMS is on the drop down menu bar at the top of the screen. (Not sure how it got there) The TDS is controlling the flight on NAV AP. I have found when I set up the ILS flight in MSFS Scenario that the PMS imports the full flight plan & shows all of it, whereas the TDS just imports the departure airport & I have to enter all the waypoints if I want to see the correct flight plan. Is there a setting in the TDS whereby it will import the full MSFS flight plan, from start to finish? T45

  7. I was just thinking the other day, what happened to the JATO update that GotFriends said they were working on. Well here it is with lots of updates, fixes, and additional stuff. I can't wait to try the DC-3 with JATO later today. Float and ski models included for the DC-3 of course. Thanks to GotFriends for doing this! It is worth checking out the rest of their site - some excellent stuff for free. https://www.got-friends.com/products/40th-anniversary-expansion?syclid=ckufa0etuops73bcfaf0&utm_campaign=emailmarketing_174181482799&utm_medium=email&utm_source=shopify_email DC3 Expansion Changelog: NOTE: We removed all files associated with…

Forgive me if this topic was covered. Searching did not show anything. I noticed today that the landing gear handle no longer goes up and down. It just moves a tiny bit regardless of whether I use the handle on my Thrustmaster Airbus Throttle Quadrant Ad-On, or the Bravo handle, or even using "G" or "Ctrl-G" for Gear Up and Gear Down. This was while sitting on the ground. When I take off, even before I lift the gear handle, the landing gear raises by itself. I am then unable to lower the gear while in flight, even if below the required speed. I have tried it with SimBridge on or off. It also occurs with either the Stable or Dev version, FBW A320 or Headwind A33…

So I got the maddog as my first tubeliner for MSFS, its overall the third maddog I have from Leonardo and before I had their 2 Versions of the plane in FSX. But this EFB thing is confusing me and I am not sure if it works as it should with the MSFS weight system. The load manager that comes with the plane states 149500lbs as MTOW (i use lbs because thats what the sim uses as well). However, the EFB states 122319lbs as MTOW and tells me "takeoff not allowed" when I am above it. Therefore on a heavier take-off flight i am not able to get matching V-speeds. I am also not really sure if MSFS properly updates my weights entered in the LM, as the figues provided by …

Hi all Just installed everything from scratch on a new PC. Everything seems settled in, but for some reason TIR freezes immediately when the app window opens. Also cannot close the app using End Process in task manager. Have tried a few re-installs of the software with no significant difference. Anyone else come across this? Someone had suggested deleting the settings.xml file in AppData/Natural Point - that hasn't helped. Also did a DDU uninstall of Nvidua drivers which someone else suggested (worked for him). Didn't work for me.

Before SU13 (and coincidentally rex accusim advanced) I had a rock solid sim with no crashes pretty much ever, now I am getting a crash on every flight I have tried with the fenix A320. It has happened right at the start of the flight while panning in the cockpit, and twice 10 minutes after takeoff in VR, and again 3 hours into a flight after switching back into VR. Any advice would be a big help. Right under the MSFS crash in event viewer there is always a .NET runtime error with flightsimulator.exe also listed as the faulting module. Crash Data for msfs crash: Faulting application name: FlightSimulator.exe, version: 1.34.16.0, time stamp: 0x00000000…

For those who like this splendid aircraft, Kuro has made it even better with a number of fixes and updates - after their initial release of version 2 immediately after AAU2 - to be downloaded here. No need to uninstall the previous version, the new installer will take care of it. Another project of Kuro is to implement the built-in EFB in a future update. Exciting times ahead for long-haulers. FAQ are covered here. Enjoy!

I was a naysayer for awhile regarding this tool, but recently thought, "ah what the hell, it's $5 for a month to try out the professional version." I've gotta say, it's pretty great. Been using the updated Bing maps and they're fantastic. I tried Google, but noticed on flights lasting more than 3 hours, it would stop streaming. Not sure if Google IP bans after awhile. I also tried the experimental 'Hybrid' mode that is supposed to use the best data for each region, but noticed much more texture popping while at altitude. Enabling 'High LOD uses a higher zoom level at all altitudes; this looks especially convincing on approach, and at altitude the buildings look 3D, even t…

Not sure if you guys knew, care, or use it already, but Reshade does work with Frame Generation. I was avoiding trying it because I was under the impression that they were incompatible. Just gave it a shot again today, and it works! Really well, I might add; no crashing, hiccups, or anything funny. After I installed it, I did delete all of my Nvidia shaders, just to be safe. Using a 4090 and HDR monitor, I did not notice any performance degradation at all. Some of the presets are a bit "meh" and overly cinematic, but you can dial them in to your liking. I'm not a fan of using G-Force Experience since it's mostly another bloat program. …

Came across this video showing an MSFS developer camera option which shows a figure for FOV. In the official forum it has been suggested the FOV shown is in Radians and relates to a vertical field of view. Using an online FOV tool, my seating positions requires a vertical FOV of 27 degrees. If the FOV in the video is in radians, that would make my zoom setting in MSFS 88. Any clever person out there could glance their eyes over the video and work out what the FOV shown represents?
