I tried to get the Dev to address the reality that I can't log into their website to ask there as their password retrieval method never gets to me a link to reset, so I'll ask here. Maybe I'm doing something wrong I really don't know. Here's an example of what I mean--I often enough have to tell GSX to stop the pushback because it is headed into a building or in the case on to the grass. I would have though objects/areas would be "sensed" and so accommodated, but alas that's obviously not the case. Recently installed Microsoft Flight Simulator for the very first time, and I wanted to start installing the UK2000 airports today. However, when I attempted to install the first one (9NM9 Spaceport America), I was greeted with the following ERROR message.... On Startup, Line 68: Argument 2 must be of type string I can click the "OK" button, and proceed with the installation. I have not done so yet, because I want to know if this is normal. Can anyone confirm if it is OK to proceed with the installation? On a side note, where is my MSFS Community Addon scenery folder located? The installer is not finding a specific location.

why are there so many wrong runway signs, at default and on 3rd party airports? for example at KFHR: both runway take off ends have wrong labels showing both directions: 16-34 and 34-16 when it should have only either or. the only time a runway sign can show both directions is when you are at a runway intersection, where you could take off in either direction. I currently only have the airports that come with msfs premium deluxe. I'm not sure if airport scenery is going to roll over into the next sim the way aircraft addons is supposed to. As a result I am hesitant to get really crazy with buying a lot of scenery. Right now I fly the fenix a320 and will likely pick up the pmdg 737. I will also probably pick up the Comanche 250 and maybe the m500. what are the best airports I should be looking into picking up either freeware or payware? I usually do 2-4 hour flights, so looking for good pairings, decently optimized airports etc. I'm partial to NYC but in addition to east coast flying I do also fly on the west coas…

I've found a lot of posts on Google about the engine not starting but has anyone had an issue with it not shutting down after closing MSFS? I just noticed this happening today. Hadn't been in the sim in a few weeks, all addons including GSX updated, but also just installed the new Advanced version of REX Accuseason and so I was testing presets in that and Steam told me MSFS was already running. It wasn't, but I'm finding now any time I close MSFS I have to go into Task Manager and close the Couatl Scripting Engine with "end task".

My preferred flying in MSFS are GA & turboprops, with a particular interest in Turboprops We simmers have been well looked after in this regard with the BlackSquare TBM850 , FSReborn M500 and the upcoming SWS PC-12. I was disappointed to hear the SWS PC-12 will have limited systems at launch, so until it does so I don't feel it can compare with the other two until updates include those things.. I love the FSR M500, but there is one peculiar thing I don't like - the strange nose high attitude when in flight. I'm flying Seattle to Fairbanks in the fenix a320. During cruise the autopilot has been knocked off course several times. Is this a bug or is it some strong gust of wind and the waypoints being spaced too far apart. Some of these are like 300nm away. I'm able to quickly reacquire the flight path but its annoying. I even updated the wind info to see if that would help.

When I bought the FSR500 I decided it need a purpose so I opted to try the 7 day trial of OnAir. At first I felt it clumsy and a bit awkward and I don't care for having to Alt-Tab to start tracking. I dislike having to unfocus MSFS for reasons I shan't go into. Anyway, despite the things that irritated me I really enjoyed it and I have found that since the trial expired I have lost the will to want to fly without it and consequently, I find myself exploring my options. Words don't exist to describe how much I despise the winter. So this year, I've decided to pick my(virtual)self up and (virtually) move to someplace warm for the season. So I've decided to spend the next few months based out of the LA area instead of Eastern Canada, where I live and will actually be spending my winter. I'll still be going all over the place but I'll end up in LA more than at home at CYOW. So if you see me around, be sure to offer a wing wave.

This is a great addon! I picked it up on the back of YouTube video, and this guys rig is amazing, and his videos are really good too. (And you know how much I hate YouTube!). PS this addon lets you just slew to another airport instantly like back in the FSX days.

I've found a temporary fix in the official MSFS forum to keep all custom/hard Assistance Settings. Once you have set all Assistance Options as you prefer, turn OFF Online Functionality, before you shut down MSFS. Then next time you start MSFS, it will not be online, and therefore not try to download and set the Assistance Options to Easy, and they will remain the same as they were when you last had MSFS running. After you have reached the Opening Screen, you can turn ON Online Functionality again, before you start your flight. Remember to turn it off again before you shut down MSFS. Just got this airplane and am enjoying flying it. But a small item caught my attention. VS mode on the autopilot does not capture current pitch, but goes to 0 ft/min which is annoying.. Luckily, I bought the plane from Iris directly and not from the Marketplace, so the files are not encrypted. So I had a look at the code. With the help of @ark, I coded a small fix, and also improved the rollover of the digits on the speed and altitude tapes while I had the opportunity. Hi all. After not using MSFS too much lately and now returning to the sim, I was looking to improve my Longitude cockpit with a texture mod made by "More Right Rudder". This mod used to be available on fs.to ( https://flightsim.to/file/45583/c700-longitude-cockpit-texture-mod ) but has been pulled from there. I can also no longer find this mod on the WT discord servers. Does anyone know where to find this file? Or maybe someone can send it to me? Does anyone know if there is an addon that simulates failures? For example, if you leave the pitot heat on the cj4 longer than 5 mins on the ground I believe it can burn out/damage the aircraft. It would be good if somehow the aircraft had a real state and this was detected and you were penalised etc…

Hi Folks. Does anyone know when the welcome screen gets updated? My local airport, EGPH, has a new GA parking area. It is a fair size and shows up in the Bing Maps Satellite image. I'm wondering when it will be updated in the sim to show the new GA apron. I make use of an addon for EGPH and the parking stands show up but they are on grass in the sim welcome screen, and not concrete as in real life and Bing Maps. Once my flight has loaded my C700 is sitting on concrete, but that is the addon I have. It's only a minor annoyance, but it would be nice if the sim screen was updated to reflect the change. I'm looking for something to increase my immersion with commercial jet liners. I fly the fenix right now and eventually with get the pmdg 737. The flights feel a bit sterile at points. What addon would be worth picking up for immersion. I'm currently using gsx pro, but that is mainly for ground operations. I've been looking at self loading cargo, a pilot's life 2, passenger2,pacx, FSFO, fs2crew etc. Thoughts on which one increases the immersion and which ones work well together.

Well, I finally did it. I'm someone who squeezes every last day out of a PC's lifecycle, but mine was dying on it's legs. The start switch had even broken and I had to "hot wire" it each day to start it 😄 So I've bought a new PC. No high end gaming machine but I'm coming from an ancient i7 4790 (non-K!) 3.4Ghz with a GTX 1080. My new PC is a AMD Ryzen 9 with a RTX 3080Ti. For me, it's a staggering improvement. Imagine only ever having seen MSFS on "Medium" texture resolution, then going Ultra. My jaw dropped. I have tried everything and can’t seem to get crisp textures. samsung g5 2k monitor HDR on user opt cfg settings colorgrading off and film grain off 16x ant and power management to ultra nvidia control panel only . msfs settings ultra . shadows tweak to 6144. 250mbps internet speed . 7950x3d with a 3080ti 32gb 6000 mhz ram. is it my monitor ?? should I go 4k? thanks mike

I usually use MSFS for helicopters and virtually never have CTDs. I bought the Kodiak on Saturday and can hardly complete a flight without it CTD. I updated my graphics driver, did disk cleanup, and repaired MSFS. I flew helicopters around for a few hours earlier today with no problems. I loaded up the PMDG 737 tonight for the first time in months, and 30 minutes in to the flight had a CTD again. If the problem is quite possibly not at my end, I'd rather not faff about with uninstalls and reinstalls etc. Rather wait a few days hoping it was a MSFS or Asobo issue. Is it normal that sometimes frequent CTDs happen due to their servers etc? With heli…
