Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Good morning aviators, a strange problem has sneaked into the sim a few weeks ago, and I don´t know how to get rid of it. I don´t know if it happened because of switching to Beta14 for testing that new iniBuilds Airbus, or because of installing LittleNavmap, I fly a lot of GA too thanks to these awesome Black Square planes and not always airliners, some day when deciding to fly some airliner again it simply looked this way, here for example in the Fenix Airbus the significant displaced waypoints: It happens on the navigation display of all airliners, here in the iniBuilds A310 all waypoints and their according text are rendered twice too displaced a few mil…

Why do I feel like I am in the twilight zone whenever I am trying to sort out the control settings in Microsoft Flight Simulator? I worked out how to get into DRONE mode, but then I noticed that the NUM5 (reset to position directly behind the aircraft) command does not work. In addition, the "W" key that translates the drone forwards just stopped working for no reason whatsoever?? Exiting the simulator and then loading it again solved the problem, but stuff like that really should not be happening. Oh, and it would be great to know which parallel universe the screenshots are stored in. My quantum computer is struggling to locate it.

Is this a server issue, never had this before?

Spotted a little snippet of news that Cowan Sim, the XP helicopter dev is looking to bring their excellent MD500E over to MSFS. Good Morning all, Yesterday I jumped in the Fenix and flew from Liverpool to Sicily, had an hour on the ground then did the return leg back to Liverpool. Total time was around 7 hours in the sim. I was pleased to see zero degradation in FPS by the time I arrived at Liverpool but when I landed there was not a single aircraft on the ground or in the air. I reset the traffic from the sim menu and then restarted the injector but still no traffic. I had seen this before but I thought it had been fixed. Does anyone know of a solution to this? It’s certainly nice to see the FPS/memory leak issues have been fixed and it would be great to figure out what the issue is with…

First of all, well done on a superb aircraft. Has some bugs but will be ironed out soon. Quick question: I could not dim the ADI in a night flight. I dimmed all the instrument lights etc, but could not adjust ADI. I'm running with TDS GTNxi and normally there's a setting (utilities/system) that allows you to dim backlighting on PFD etc but could not find it nor could I find a knob that would dim it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

I am thinking my issue is with my poor coordination rather than settings, but I will ask anyway... What are the best settings to make walking around the aircraft and airports easy? I currently use an x-Box Controller (on a desktop system) in Showcase view. When I try to walk currently, I am "racing all over the place. Thanks, Dave

When getting out of a flight, the sim freezes and when I restart it all my add-ons stop working and I have to reinstall them every time. Any help is apprecfiated.

FSReborn devs have posted on their Discord that (unless MS mess things up) their highly anticipated Piper M500 will be releasing this Thursday (2nd Nov). No word yet (that I have found at least) on pricing.

I know most of you on here will know about this little tweak, and to be honest, I should also have known about it, but I didn't! OK, I used a similar tweak in P3D, but I was unaware of it in MSFS until the other day, that's when I thought that perhaps there are others who may also be unaware of it. Hi guys, is there a way to save a drone view for each time the sim loads up? I like to plane spot and when I load up a flight in exterior drone view the position is always showing the plane from behind. I would love to be able to save a view from the side of the plane instead. This way I don't have to maneuver the camera each time I want to follow a plane. In P3D I could load up a flight move the camera to the position I want and save it as the default view and every time the game loaded the plane was in the saved view. Would be great if I can do this in MSFS. Thank you

I didn't buy much at all (no sceneries purchased) at the last Black Friday sales two weeks ago, but I was surprised to find out that my Steam installation of MSFS Premium (...\users\appdata\roaming\...) with all World Updates installed is now over 422 GB!! Maybe this explains why re-starting Windows is taking forever. This is odd since I didn't have this issue two weeks ago. I have a 2-TB NVMe system drive with about 1 TB free space. SFC /scannow, Malwarebytes, and Window Security did not detect any issues or malware. I think I need to go on an MSFS software diet. Any airport for this beast?

I currently use PSXT and Realtraffic and for the most part enjoy it. However, I notice that some airports are very accurate with traffic / gate placement and some airports have no ground traffic at all. How does the new FSLTL compare to PSXT/RT with regards to an accurate representation of real world traffic? Any other benefits of FSLTL over PSXT/RT or vice versa? I think both are great but want to see what people think in terms of a real world representation.

My fun is over for a few days while I have to use my sim to practice some real world stuff in advance of a sim check. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a tool to reposition the aircraft to conduct various practice approaches and routines. A failure panel to run engine failure on take off drills would also be a bonus. A quick search brings up FS-Flightcontrol and FSipanel but I'm not familiar with either of them. Cheers
