Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

After thoroughly messing up my MSFS2020 files, I find I have two Community folders: 1-C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\localcache\packages\Community and 2- C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\localstate\packages\Community Are both of these Community files necessary, and if not, which is nesessary ? I have had to do a reinstall of Windows and MSFS and all the other stuff which means I have lost all my progress in NeoFly and I'm just not willing to do all the tests to fly the aircraft that I want to again. I have spent 4 days getting it all up and running and I just want to fly. I just want to get into the situation I was in before I lost it all. I know how to use a database editor to change the money amount but where and what variable am I looking for to change my licenses? Hi All, This is an interesting methodology to compensate the DLSS performance with the DSR factor in the Nvidia control panel. I thought it gave me back the detail that one gives up with using DLSS without sacrificing FPS. I have am AMD 5900x and a a Nvidia rtx3080ti, locked at 30. I would like to hear some other opinions.

I can setup and fly an IFR flight easily, set departure, arrival runway is ILS, set NAV mode, follow instructions, once in contact with approach, VOR1, APP and fly her on in.. My confusion while in route.. You can request vectors to the next waypoint from the ATC.. And it doesn't matter if I'm 300 miles off course, upside down, spinning in circles, 7 waypoints into the flight. It's always the same heading response no matter what.. Is this broken? If not can some educate me here why it's ALWAYS the same heading they tell me to follow when requesting vectors?

Hi all, How do I display frame rate in MSFS 2020?

After using MSFS with no issues yesterday, started up this morning and all my assistance settings were reset to EASY. After resetting them I have run the sim several times and each time losing the Azure speech to text service. Why do these things keep happening to people? Do we all have dodgy systems or is it ASOBO and MS screwing things up again and again? Is there a known cause?

Greetings adventurous aviators, I am currently overhauling the cockpit of the absolute awesome Black Square Baron, my new favorite in the simulator, but unfortunately I cannot finish the altimeter and bring it to the perfection it truly deserves...... because I am not able to animate the crosshatch marking the Bendix King KEA-130a has and the inner disk. Hi: I'm trying to understand how the scenery order in MSFS works. Using the "Package Reorder Tool" in the sim, I see all my add-on scenery (located in the Community folder) is #0 followed by two navigraph entries (numbered #1 & #2). As I'm understanding it, my add-ons should have a number higher then the navigraph entries. OK, perfect. BUT, I'm not having any issues/duplicate scenery. So, do I still need to change the add-ons priority #, or just leave it as is? If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Thanks!

I have DLDSR 1.78x and 2.25x enabled in the Nvidia control panel. When I use MSFS in native resolution, HDR10 works wonderfully; it adds a significant depth to the lighting in the sim without looking artificial. However, when I select one of the higher-than-native resolutions in the sim, the HDR effect becomes overblown. Any idea what causes this and if there are any fixes?

Hello, I’m wondering if there are any alternatives to GSX out there to operate jetways and for pushback. I’m finding as of late I probably only have a 25% success rate in actually starting GSX. Most times the menu either closes as soon as it opens or the menu opens but doesn’t load. Frankly I’m fed up with it. While animated baggage loading etc is nice, what I really need is a way to operate the jetways and perform a pushback without contacting ground (which is silly). Any alternatives out there? I remember there was a really good freeware one available on .to but I believe development ceased and it had some memory leak issues. Thanks

I've set a cost index of 20, which I do with every flight, but the flight computer is taking me to the upper limit of the aircraft's safe speed. This has only happened after the last update. Has anyone else had this problem?

I heard the default ATC has been improved. I never tried using the default ATC. How do I do so with simbrief? I have to download the brief somewhere? If I'm using the a320 fenix does that impact the process at all?

I'm regularly flying only with 5 or 6 different aircraft (payware and Asobo). As long as we don't have a personalized hangar (a/c favorites) I'd like to remove (uninstall) all that unused aircraft, keeping only 10-15 on my system. My question, would that do any harm? I'm not using any MS/Asobo flight challenges or scenic flights. For AI traffic I'm using exclusively FSLTL/AIG. As far as I understand, it should then be possible to remove most of MSFS/Asobo a/c without any disadvantages. Is there anything I forgot or I should consider?

Sometime ago I saw here at least one thread on this subject - someone complaining about not being able to get full authority from the steering tiler in the PMDG 737. Back then I didn't experience the problem, and the tiler always offered as much authority as I needed it to, at any taxi speed. I know Just Flight and Indiafoxtecho are both developing the Panavia Tornado for MSF and whilst flying between Land's End and John O'Groats I saw this: Indiafoxtecho are developing the IDS version, so did I just spot a couple of them being tested or have a couple of users just changed a configuration file to make their F18/A320/C152s show as Tornadoes?🧐Obviously, even if I'd been close enough to see them, they would just have displayed as default aircraft so i'd have been none the wiser.

Please have a look at the image below. Flaps 25, speed set to 150.. the aircraft logic does not seem to accept any valid speed. On the PFD, the amber minimum manoeuver speed tape and the max manoeuver tape touch each other (one continuous amber line between the red-dotted limit speed ones); no proper speed range left in between them.. On every occasion the aircraft then issues an aural "speed off" warning and automatically starts to accelerate. Happens on every single flight, and busts every landing, unless I land at flaps 15 or below. The speed selector windows shows either an "A" or a "B", so obviously ANY speed seems off. What could I be doing wrong?

As my collection of installed freeware airports has grown recently, I've found it's sometimes difficult to see the name and ICAO code of airports the Community folder (or in Addon Linker). Where as some freeware airports are conveniently called things like:- ENBR_Bergen ....others are called things like:- Bobsdesign_v1.16 So I was wondering if anyone knows of a utility that can show the names and locations of installed airports on a map? I know the Marketplace airports sales page shows a world map with this on, but does such a utility exist that shows your airports that are already installed? Thanks in advance.

Dear: 1. Runway Excursion: The PC-12 veers out of the runway during take off roll. Also after landing, goes out of the runway. It is almost impossible to maintain the PC-12 on the runway!
