Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When I start the sim I get the first page where you select where you want to start from, the weather, and the aircraft you want to fly. The Globe is there in the top right window, and when I click on that window, I get the Globe, but I am no longer able to rotate it. It is stuck on The United States. I can't rotate it to say, Europe, or anywhere else. I can zoom in on it but can't rotate it, so I can't pick an airport in say, Europe to start the slight. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have never used AIG Manager before. I had a manually installed custom AI database in P3Dv4, so I never needed it. However, now that I have Microsoft Flight Simulator installed, I would like to know what I need to do to get a global AI database installed (models and repaints) as smoothly and effortlessly as possible. Can this AIG Manager do that for me? If so, what do I need to download, and where do I find it?

I started MSFS today and it did a short update. When the sim started I noticed it looks like I have lost a lot of ground textures. Everything is varying shades of gray. I shut down the sim, shut down the computer and re started it, went to the Microsoft store and checked my files and there were no upgrades to do there. I re started the sim and the same ground textures are missing. There are no taxiway or runway painted outline markers, the runway numbers and markings are gray. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks

I see that in the Utilities>Setup>Avionics Settings, under theAlerts tab the TA is set to 18000 feet as in USA. I want to change this setting to lower numbers as it is in Europe, but I cant fint out how to do it, or if it is possible at all. Can anyone help me?

It's likely I'm just an word not allowed and missing something, but I planned a flight for the Justflight BAE 146-300 that was 550nm and simbrief is telling me it's beyond the plane's range (range should be closer to 1000nm). I was sure to pick the profile for the Justflight version of the plane, though I tested and it says the same thing for the default profile. Is this an error in Simbrief, or am I making a mistake? Obviously I'm flying it anyway, but just curious.

I know these don't have a lot of love generally, but if folks are generally having the problems I'm having, then I'm surprised the 'score' is even as much as 2/5!! I've downloaded two of the models 'Man o' War' and 'Dolly/Spam Can' I boot them up at the end of the runway and all seems fine - engine running; mixture on 'Run'; Prop control fully forward I release the parking brake, and start increasing the throttle...and the engine almost immediately cuts. When I go to the Marketplace, I see the newest items, but when I get to the end and click to see all of the items, nothing shows up. Does anyone know how to make this stuff show up? (This has never worked for me. I'm just getting around to asking about it now...) Thanks. Russ

A strange one today, after seeing some update drop for Win 11 this morning, followed by a small update to MSFS, everything's gone ! The community folders empty, and the Official folder is wiped out as well. Luckily i always back up the official folder, so re-installing isn't too bad, Usually the only time i had seen similar was if you had not left the Beta by a certain date, but i don't think that's the case now.

With this fourth patch, all previous anomalies with the autopilot are resolved and now the P2012 flies just as you would expect. Good work by the FSS team! Curiously this only happens with Business jets. Haven't seen a commercial airliner (or GA aircraft for that matter) with a pink (or missing) livery. I am on the latest versions of either tool, all updates installed. Any idea how to grace the Gulfstreams, Global Expresses etc. with their proper colors? Thanks.

Are the Norway treefix add-ons relevant anymore? I had them installed, three add-ons in total: North Norway, middle and south. No longer available from Flightsim.to. I was surprised, for example, that there were no trees at all in Lofoten. When I removed the treefixes, trees appeared, although maybe the wrong species and in some places a little dirt. However, the end result is closer to real landscapes, so I left the treefixes out of the sim. If Norway could get an accurate add-on that would remove trees from mountains where no trees grow, I would be satisfied. I have decided to remove my MSFS2020 from C Drive to an WD External F Drive since C drive was almost 75% full, So i have decided to put the Flight Sim on its own drive. Yesterday i did the easy option to move the game via Apps to move from C to F but found that the FPS dropped and the game was not stable, So i have re formatted Drive F and will install direct from MS. Hi, Question 1: I seem unable to select the option on the MFD to display my flight controls (to check before takeoff) - I am sure that I use to push the SYS button - but this is no longer giving me the option - am I missing something?. Nothing is ever easy, is it? After a reinstallation of Windows and MSFS I get into the sim and am happy to find that it had saved my controller settings in the cloud and I wouldn't have to go through all that nonsense again.....But wait, why not give the guy a new and unique problem that will take much longer to solve than just assigning his inputs again. Since SU14 update I had attempted to do two flights with the C310R. One ended in the screen freezing, had to do a cold shut down via the computer power button. The second resulted in a BSOD. So I did the same route from KFWQ to KERI with the A2A Comanche and completed the flight without a problem. Just wondering if the SU14 update may have had an adverse affect on the C310R. Anyone else having an issue?

So for years I was understanding that Gulfstream wouldn’t license any of their aircraft for Sim Development and this was the reason for never having a Gulfstream in sim, then I saw the GLF550 by AKD Studio for Xplane. Just curious, has Gulfstream changed their stance on this? Wondering if anyone has any new info and is there a chance this means we may finally see a Gulfstream in MSFS?

I wish they would fix DFW runway 18L, and get rid of the one foot ridge 1/2 way down the runway, so it doesn't tear off the landing gear in the 737. on the landing roll out. .

Anyone have ideas as to why the default atc doesn't make any sound? My sound settings seem to be on. I see the atc text but can't hear anything. Using the Fenix. Radios are on.
