Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Any body using the Elgato Stream Deck Plus with the 4 knobs. It looks like they are used by default for volume, etc. Do the knobs have a stop or they continuous? Anybody use the knobs to control VS adjustments, changing frequencies on radio or nav? etc? Thanks!

Hi Guys, Firstly I hope you all had a good xmas and have a happy new year. 2024 promises to be an exciting year for our hobby. I for one am holding back on a components upgrade until MS2024 arrives on the scene and will be patient. Right, on with the question. I have a lot of aircraft and liveries I will never use so wish to take them out of circulation.. In regards to liveries where is the aircraft.cfg located and also how to put aircraft permanently in the hangar.

I only use FSLTL for traffic, but recently I've had the following issues: - traffic lining up on the runway, cleared for takeoff, then taxi off the runway (on taxiways), taxi through all the other aircraft waiting for departure (including mine), taxi back on to the runway and takeoff (this happened at EGLL and OMDB). - traffic going literally mad at high capacity airports. For example at EGLL, looking up and aircraft are literally flying all over the place, buzzing terminals, flying really low over the ground etc - traffic coming in to land and then instead of touching down, hovering above the runway at about 100ft at what I would consider to be taxi speed - aircr…

Hello, I have a mix and match setup. As a present I got a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and for a while I have had the Thrustmaster Throttle Quadrant. I fly the PMDG B737-800 for now. Everything seems to work it moves like it should also the throttle works when I throttle up or down. The only thing is that the plane doesnt move. I have look for information to see why the plane doesnt move. Can someone help me why the plane doesnt move. Thanks for any help I appreciated. Has been 3 days trying to figure it out.

I own EGGP from DD. The scenery looks very good, but I have a problem with AC not taking off from both RWY 09 and 27. After taxiing ATC is not asked for clearance to take off. The AC just moves on to the rwy and sits there after it times out. Landings are fine. I bought EGGP from marketplace, I have the latest version. I use FSLTL for traffic injection. I think it has something to do with the AFCAD, because the default EGGP works fine with take offs. I deleted default default eggp so only the DD version is active. Hi folks, I have currently RTX2080 and I am considering RTX4070 due to its price/performance. Also, I am tempted to get RTX4070 because of FG and DLSS 3.0, is it really worth it for MSFS? Please note I only fly on 2k resolution, no VR and I am not planning to upgrade my CPU at the moment (perhaps next year I will join team red 😄). Looking to hear for opinions, Regards,

Hello, Just curious how stable GSX these days in MSFS. I'm a new MSFS convert that just left P3D arena, so I'm learning stuff. So far, I have completed 5 full flights with PMDG 737-800, 3rd party sceneries and PSXT traffic. Zero problems. Memory tells me that back in P3D days, GSX had been a culprit for some CTD and other unstable things. Also, would appreciate if you mention any current practical limitations of GSX comparing with P3D. I really don't like the idea of replacing jetways in add-one airports, for example those such as at Aerosoft EBBR (they are a piece of art). May I choose not to do so? Would appreciate your honest answers.

Hi, thinking of adding a new plane to my msfs fleet and even tho I'm kinda decided on the a300 I'm thinking if I should actually buy the FSS e190. So first of all when is it going to be fully released? And second, is it worth it? Does it have fully functional LNAV VNAV and autopilot? Is it realistic? I don't know, but in real life I really like the Embraer 190/195 and that's why I would like to fly it in msfs. So what are your opinions?

I've flown this aircraft a lot but now I cannot get the engines to start. Yesterday was the first time I tried flying the 414 since the SU14 update. Could it have broken something? Anyone else have the problem?

Greetings! Last night I was simming with the A310 when there was a power outage at my house (nasty ice storm up here in SE North Dakota). Late this afternoon, I loaded up MSFS to start the flight over. Upon loading the A310 in a cold and dark state, I went to the overhead panel to turn on the batteries and engage the external power. The aircraft made none of its usual noises when clicking those buttons, and the displays on the main panel did not power on. I checked other aircraft and they are working fine. Anyone know what this file is used for. Can I make changes to the file to get an add-on aircraft from showing up as ai traffic? If so how do I do that? Thanks, LouP

Just a quick post to say that IMO these work well together and are both well worth installing. the IniBuilds version has nicer detailing on what it does provide, but Orbx provides more buildings generally. I amended the inibuilds version by sticking a "Z-" on the front of the folder name to ensure it got loaded after the orbx version and so where there are duplicates the inibuilds version should be the one used. I just had a quick test flight and only spotted two clashes - one is the big ferris wheel and the other was the chrome doughnut thingy near the airport end of the main drag. Didn't notice anything else so if there are otrher clashes, they're not intrusive, and it …

cargo doors not closing and as soon as I go to TOGA when taking off the sim stops and I get the message that I overstressed the aircraft. It's the 787 Dreamliner. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed in the competing sim that certain nice add on planes seem to have a MASSIVE FPS cost for some reason. That said, I’ve also noticed pauses/stutters when flying certain MSFS aircraft. Maddog MD82 is a disaster (on my rig at least) - no go, The JustFlight BAe146 isn’t as bad but also seems prone to lags and pauses that the default biz jets don’t in the same exact scenarios? The PMDG planes seem silky smooth, as does my Shorts 360. So, I’m wondering...what are the “heaviest” planes in terms of CPU/FPS load? And what are the “lightest” add ons? And how are the JustFlight F28 and new Lear 35 in this department? 🙂 Steve

Until recently, I couldn't get any audio from the ATC, so I never bothered with it. Then all of a sudden stating a few days ago, I can hear them. So I have begun to use the ATC here and there. It's really awful, much worse than what was available in FSX or FS-2004. It sounds so robotic! That would be less of a deal if it was accurate, but holy smokes! Just now I tried making a flight out of Meigs Field. I was cleared for takeoff, and then got screamed at for when I took off that I didn't have clearance. I'm assuming everyone has the same issues with the ATC?

Hi , i noticed the tiller turn radius is smaller after landing below 40knots in jet aircrafts that i have. It helps retracting the flaps and spoilers but is it also realistics? Thanks Michael Moe

How do I use the Map Enhancement software? It says to click on START, and the status will change to STARTED. However, I only see "calculating...." in the bottom right hand corner, with "Load 0" and "Write 0". I have selected BING (LATEST) as the server. What am I doing wrong?? Or is it waiting for me to run MSFS? I need this to be able to fly from UK2000 EGNS Isle of Man, because those lime green and purple textures that load at low altitude are an abomination. EDIT: On a side note....why is MSFS not using the latest Bing images automatically?
